In recent years,with the rapid development of deep learning technology,relational triplet extraction techniques have also achieved groundbreaking progress.Traditional pipeline models have certain limitations due to error propagation.To overcome the limitations of traditional pipeline models,recent research has focused on jointly modeling the two key subtasks-named entity recognition and relation extraction-within a unified framework.To support future research,this paper provides a comprehensive review of recently published studies in the field of relational triplet extraction.The review examines commonly used public datasets for relational triplet extraction techniques and systematically reviews current mainstream joint extraction methods,including joint decoding methods and parameter sharing methods,with joint decoding methods further divided into table filling,tagging,and sequence-to-sequence approaches.In addition,this paper also conducts small-scale replication experiments on models that have performed well in recent years for each method to verify the reproducibility of the code and to compare the performance of different models under uniform conditions.Each method has its own advantages in terms of model design,task handling,and application scenarios,but also faces challenges such as processing complex sentence structures,cross-sentence relation extraction,and adaptability in low-resource environments.Finally,this paper systematically summarizes each method and discusses the future development prospects of joint extraction of relational triples. 展开更多

MLRT-UNet:An Efficient Multi-Level Relation Transformer Based U-Net for Thyroid Nodule Segmentation

Thyroid nodules,a common disorder in the endocrine system,require accurate segmentation in ultrasound images for effective diagnosis and treatment.However,achieving precise segmentation remains a challenge due to various factors,including scattering noise,low contrast,and limited resolution in ultrasound images.Although existing segmentation models have made progress,they still suffer from several limitations,such as high error rates,low generalizability,overfitting,limited feature learning capability,etc.To address these challenges,this paper proposes a Multi-level Relation Transformer-based U-Net(MLRT-UNet)to improve thyroid nodule segmentation.The MLRTUNet leverages a novel Relation Transformer,which processes images at multiple scales,overcoming the limitations of traditional encoding methods.This transformer integrates both local and global features effectively through selfattention and cross-attention units,capturing intricate relationships within the data.The approach also introduces a Co-operative Transformer Fusion(CTF)module to combine multi-scale features from different encoding layers,enhancing the model’s ability to capture complex patterns in the data.Furthermore,the Relation Transformer block enhances long-distance dependencies during the decoding process,improving segmentation accuracy.Experimental results showthat the MLRT-UNet achieves high segmentation accuracy,reaching 98.2% on the Digital Database Thyroid Image(DDT)dataset,97.8% on the Thyroid Nodule 3493(TG3K)dataset,and 98.2% on the Thyroid Nodule3K(TN3K)dataset.These findings demonstrate that the proposed method significantly enhances the accuracy of thyroid nodule segmentation,addressing the limitations of existing models. 展开更多

An Evaluation and Similarity Analysis of Provincial Green Development Levels in China Using Grey Relational Analysis

Green development is vital for bringing about high-quality development,which makes measuring and comparing provincial green development levels essential.This study calculates the comprehensive green development scores using panel data from 30 Chinese provinces and autonomous regions(2013-2022)and a combined subjective-objective weighting method.It also innovatively establishes a grey relational degree matrix and a grey improvement sequence to analyze provincial similarities and identify benchmarks for improvement.The results indicate that ecological and environmental protection holds the highest weight among the primary indicators.Beijing,Shanghai,Tianjin,Zhejiang,and Jiangsu lead in green development,with Shanghai,Beijing,and Tianjin exhibiting distinct development trajectories,while Guizhou and Yunnan share a similar trend.Zhejiang and Shaanxi have prominent benchmarks for improvement,while some provinces dynamically adjust their targets.The results suggest that advanced regions should further refine their green development pathways to align with their specific contexts,while less-developed regions should adaptively learn from the appropriate benchmarks and periodically reassess their strategies.This study provides scientific guidance for regional green development planning,policymaking,and benchmarking,thus contributing to sustainable regional development.Furthermore,it lays a foundation for future research to expand into broader datasets,scales,influencing factors,and policy evaluations. 展开更多

Large amounts of labeled data are usually needed for training deep neural networks in medical image studies,particularly in medical image classification.However,in the field of semi-supervised medical image analysis,labeled data is very scarce due to patient privacy concerns.For researchers,obtaining high-quality labeled images is exceedingly challenging because it involves manual annotation and clinical understanding.In addition,skin datasets are highly suitable for medical image classification studies due to the inter-class relationships and the inter-class similarities of skin lesions.In this paper,we propose a model called Coalition Sample Relation Consistency(CSRC),a consistency-based method that leverages Canonical Correlation Analysis(CCA)to capture the intrinsic relationships between samples.Considering that traditional consistency-based models only focus on the consistency of prediction,we additionally explore the similarity between features by using CCA.We enforce feature relation consistency based on traditional models,encouraging the model to learn more meaningful information from unlabeled data.Finally,considering that cross-entropy loss is not as suitable as the supervised loss when studying with imbalanced datasets(i.e.,ISIC 2017 and ISIC 2018),we improve the supervised loss to achieve better classification accuracy.Our study shows that this model performs better than many semi-supervised methods. 展开更多

Anti-jamming performance evaluation has recently received significant attention. For Link-16, the anti-jamming performance evaluation and selection of the optimal anti-jamming technologies are urgent problems to be solved. A comprehensive evaluation method is proposed, which combines grey relational analysis (GRA) and cloud model, to evaluate the anti-jamming performances of Link-16. Firstly, on the basis of establishing the anti-jamming performance evaluation indicator system of Link-16, the linear combination of analytic hierarchy process(AHP) and entropy weight method (EWM) are used to calculate the combined weight. Secondly, the qualitative and quantitative concept transformation model, i.e., the cloud model, is introduced to evaluate the anti-jamming abilities of Link-16 under each jamming scheme. In addition, GRA calculates the correlation degree between evaluation indicators and the anti-jamming performance of Link-16, and assesses the best anti-jamming technology. Finally, simulation results prove that the proposed evaluation model can achieve the objective of feasible and practical evaluation, which opens up a novel way for the research of anti-jamming performance evaluations of Link-16. 展开更多

Conceptualizations of empathy have been most fully developed in a variety of fields in recent years.Many approaches to empathy dwell on the cognitive,affective,and behavioral aspects,the intra-psychic processes that cause one to feel emotions more like those of another,rather than the interpersonal functions of empathy,which may be influenced by the variables during the communication process.Therefore,this study designed and implemented a virtual ethnographic intercultural project between Chinese and American university students with WeChat as the main social medium.The whole process included three phases:exploring the unique cultural experiences of Chinese and American students,seeking an empathy based on commonality and seeking a relational empathy,a form of harmonization and integration through interactive and continuous intercultural dialogues.During the process,the method of discourse-centered online ethnography(DCOE)was employed,which involved systematic observation and interaction with WeChat users.We used the collective data to analyze how relational empathy was developed through understanding cultural differences,seeking similarities,and creating a third culture by engaging students in a substantial and dynamic natural and interactive setting.The study shows that the most challenging process to nurture relational empathy is to move from Phases One and Two to Phase Three,during which,some strategies to build relational empathy need to be taught and practiced in a specific cultural setting.In conclusion,virtual ethnographic intercultural teaching is an effective approach to offer students a long-term intercultural dialogue and insight into developing shared meaning,or dynamic relational empathy with culturally different others. 展开更多

Efficient Identification Method of Interbeds Based on Neural Network Combined with Grey Relational Analysis—Taking the Lower Sub-Member of the Sangonghe Formation in Moxizhuang Oilfield as an Example

The storage layer within the Moxizhuang Oilfield in the Junggar Basin develops various types of interlayer barriers with significant differences in morphology and scale of development. In response to the issues of interlayer barriers affecting the formation of oil and gas reservoirs and controlling oil-water distribution, this study proposes precise classification and quantitative identification of interlayer barriers in the study area based on a fully connected neural network combined with grey relational analysis. Taking the second member of the Sangonghe Formation (J1S22) in the Moxizhuang Oilfield as an example, combined with previous research, this study statistically analyzes the lithology and logging response characteristics of three types of interlayer barriers in the study area. Based on differences in composition, lithology, and genesis, interlayer barrier types are classified. Sensitive logging data such as natural gamma, acoustic time difference, and resistivity are selected through crossover plots. Grey relational analysis is used to calculate comprehensive discrimination indicators for interlayer barriers. Combined with the fully connected neural network method, an interlayer barrier identification model is established, and model training is conducted to verify the accuracy of interlayer barrier identification. The results indicate that the interlayer barrier identification model based on a fully connected neural network can rapidly and accurately identify interlayer barriers and their types. Its application in the second member of the Sangonghe Formation in the Moxizhuang Oilfield in the Junggar Basin has proven that the identification results of this method for interlayer barriers have a conformity rate exceeding 90% with core data, demonstrating excellent performance in interlayer barrier identification and proving the effectiveness of the model for interlayer barrier identification and prediction in this area. The research conclusions can provide theoretical guidance and technical reference for the identification and evaluation of interlayer barriers in the second member of the Sangonghe Formation in the Moxizhuang Oilfield in the Junggar Basin. 展开更多

Efficient data management in healthcare is essential for providing timely and accurate patient care, yet traditional partitioning methods in relational databases often struggle with the high volume, heterogeneity, and regulatory complexity of healthcare data. This research introduces a tailored partitioning strategy leveraging the MD5 hashing algorithm to enhance data insertion, query performance, and load balancing in healthcare systems. By applying a consistent hash function to patient IDs, our approach achieves uniform distribution of records across partitions, optimizing retrieval paths and reducing access latency while ensuring data integrity and compliance. We evaluated the method through experiments focusing on partitioning efficiency, scalability, and fault tolerance. The partitioning efficiency analysis compared our MD5-based approach with standard round-robin methods, measuring insertion times, query latency, and data distribution balance. Scalability tests assessed system performance across increasing dataset sizes and varying partition counts, while fault tolerance experiments examined data integrity and retrieval performance under simulated partition failures. The experimental results demonstrate that the MD5-based partitioning strategy significantly reduces query retrieval times by optimizing data access patterns, achieving up to X% better performance compared to round-robin methods. It also scales effectively with larger datasets, maintaining low latency and ensuring robust resilience under failure scenarios. This novel approach offers a scalable, efficient, and fault-tolerant solution for healthcare systems, facilitating faster clinical decision-making and improved patient care in complex data environments. 展开更多

During their exchanges, both parties adhered to a flexible and multi-layered friendship based on the unified values of patriotism and internationalism. How to use a few defect samples to complete the defect classification is a key challenge in the production of mobile phone screens.An attention-relation network for the mobile phone screen defect classification is proposed in this paper.The architecture of the attention-relation network contains two modules:a feature extract module and a feature metric module.Different from other few-shot models,an attention mechanism is applied to metric learning in our model to measure the distance between features,so as to pay attention to the correlation between features and suppress unwanted information.Besides,we combine dilated convolution and skip connection to extract more feature information for follow-up processing.We validate attention-relation network on the mobile phone screen defect dataset.The experimental results show that the classification accuracy of the attentionrelation network is 0.9486 under the 5-way 1-shot training strategy and 0.9039 under the 5-way 5-shot setting.It achieves the excellent effect of classification for mobile phone screen defects and outperforms with dominant advantages. 展开更多

It is found that the dispersion relation can be manipulated by strains through magneto-elastic coupling. Especially, the allowed bands and forbidden bands in dispersion relations shift to higher frequency with strain changing from compressive to tensile,while shifting to lower frequency with strain changing from tensile to compressive. We also confirm that the spin wave with specific frequency can pass the magnonic crystal or be blocked by tuning the strains. The result provides an advanced platform for studying the tunable skyrmion-based spin wave devices. 展开更多

Objective This study aimed to explore the association between humidity exposure and the risk of cardiovascular disease(CVD),utilizing follow-up data and relative humidity(RH)metric assessments.Methods We extracted the baseline data from the China Hypertension Survey(CHS)of 24,510 enrolled participants aged≥35 years without a history of CVD between 2012 and 2015 and followed them up from 2018 to 2019.The National Meteorological Information Center(NMIC)of the China Meteorological Administration(CMA)provided the quality-controlled relative humidity(RH)datasets.Cox proportional hazards models were used to estimate hazard ratios(HRs)for CVD in relation to RH.Results During the follow-up period(2018-2019),973 patients with CVD were identified.The HR of CVD risk was 1.17(95%CI:1.04-1.31)per 10%increase in summer mean RH.Compared with participants in the 3rd quintile group,those in the 1st and 5th quintiles of RH had a higher risk of CVD.For summer mean RH,the HRs(95%CIs)for the 1st and 5th quintiles were 1.34(1.04-1.71)and 1.44(1.14-1.83),respectively.The relationship(“U”shape)between summer mean RH and the risk of CVD was nonlinear.Stratified analyses indicated that the risk of CVD was substantially influenced by the summer mean RH in female,older individuals,and those in southern China.Conclusion Unsuitable(too high or low)humidity environments affect the risk of CVD.Our study highlights those future policies for adapting to climate change should consider the humidity-CVD relationship. 展开更多

Urban shrinkage has emerged as a widespread phenomenon globally and has a significant impact on land,particularly in terms of land use and price.This study focuses on 2851 county-level cities in China in 2005–2018(excluding Hong Kong,Macao,Taiwan,and‘no data’areas in Qinhai-Tibet Plateau)as the fundamental units of analysis.By employing nighttime light(NTL)data to identify shrinking cities,the propensity score matching(PSM)model was used to quantitatively examine the impact of shrinking cities on land prices,and evaluate the magnitude of this influence.The findings demonstrate the following:1)there were 613 shrinking cities in China,with moderate shrinkage being the most prevalent and severe shrinkage being the least.2)Regional disparities are evident in the spatial distribution of shrinking cities,especially in areas with diverse terrain.3)The spatial pattern of land price exhibits a significant correlated to the economic and administrative levels.4)Shrinking cities significantly negatively impact on the overall land price(ATT=–0.1241,P<0.05).However,the extent of the effect varies significantly among different spatial regions.This study contributes novel insights into the investigation of land prices and shrinking cities,ultimately serving as a foundation for government efforts to promote the sustainable development of urban areas. 展开更多

Quantifying surface cracks in alpine meadows is a prerequisite and a key aspect in the study of grassland crack development.Crack characterization indices are crucial for the quantitative characterization of complex cracks,serving as vital factors in assessing the degree of cracking and the development morphology.So far,research on evaluating the degree of grassland degradation through crack characterization indices is rare,especially the quantitative analysis of the development of surface cracks in alpine meadows is relatively scarce.Therefore,based on the phenomenon of surface cracking during the degradation of alpine meadows in some regions of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,we selected the alpine meadow in the Huangcheng Mongolian Township,Menyuan Hui Autonomous County,Qinghai Province,China as the study area,used unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)sensing technology to acquire low-altitude images of alpine meadow surface cracks at different degrees of degradation(light,medium,and heavy degradation),and analyzed the representative metrics characterizing the degree of crack development by interpreting the crack length,length density,branch angle,and burrow(rat hole)distribution density and combining them with in situ crack width and depth measurements.Finally,the correlations between the crack characterization indices and the soil and root parameters of sample plots at different degrees of degradation in the study area were analyzed using the grey relation analysis.The results revealed that with the increase of degradation,the physical and chemical properties of soil and the mechanical properties of root-soil composite changed significantly,the vegetation coverage reduced,and the root system aggregated in the surface layer of alpine meadow.As the degree of degradation increased,the fracture morphology developed from"linear"to"dendritic",and eventually to a complex and irregular"polygonal"pattern.The crack length,width,depth,and length density were identified as the crack characterization indices via analysis of variance.The results of grey relation analysis also revealed that the crack length,width,depth,and length density were all highly correlated with root length density,and as the degradation of alpine meadows intensified,the underground biomass increased dramatically,forming a dense layer of grass felt,which has a significant impact on the formation and expansion of cracks. 展开更多
