Objective: To explore the factors affecting the psychological pain of patients with enterostomy through meta-analysis, with the aim of reducing psychological pain and improving patients’ quality of life. Methods: Published literature on psychological pain in enterostomy patients was retrieved from Chinese and English databases, including CNKI, Wanfang, VIP, China Biomedical Network, PubMed, Embase, Ovid, and Web of Science. The search period covered the establishment of the databases until October 2024. Literature was screened based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, and its quality was evaluated. Data analysis was performed using R Studio software. Results: A total of 2,237 articles involving 1,221 patients with enterostomy and 11 influencing factors were identified. The results of the meta-analysis indicated that age, marital status, ostomy complications, self-care ability, pain severity, and sleep quality were the primary contributors to psychological distress. Conclusion: Multiple factors influence psychological pain in enterostomy patients. Medical staff should prioritize addressing these factors to alleviate psychological pain and enhance patients’ quality of life. 展开更多

Objective:To explore and analyze the evaluation and driving factors of postoperative psychological pain inpatients with oral and maxillofacial malignant tumors. Methods:Relevant data were collected from 80 patients with oral and maxillofacial malignant tumors who attended the outpatient clinic for follow-up consultations between May 2021 to May 2023.The patients used the psychological distress thermometer(DT)to circle words that best described their experiences in the past week, assigning a numerical value(0-10)to indicate their pain level on each day.The scoring results were employed to assess the psychological pain in these patients.A self-developed patient basic information questionnaire was utilized to record demographic details.Logistic regression analysis was employed to evaluate patients two weeks after surgery, focusing on the assessment of psychological distress and the identification and location of driving factors. Results:Following evaluation, the results revealed that the average postoperative DT score for the 80 patients with oral and maxillofacial malignant tumors was 4.53±1.98 points.Scores<4 points indicated no psychological pain(Group N)in 48 cases, while scores≥4 points indicated psychological pain(Group Y)in 32 cases. The differences in postoperative DT scores among patients with varying educational levels, fears and worries about disease progression, economic problems, sleep problems, level of hope, and oral pain were statistically significant(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis results indicated that education level, fear and worry about disease progression, economic problems, sleep problems, level of hope, and oral pain are driving factors of postoperative psychological pain in patients with oral and maxillofacial malignant tumors(P<0.05).Conclusion:The postoperative psychological pain level in patients with oral and maxillofacial malignant tumors is at a moderate level.Educational level, fear and worry about disease progression, economic problems, sleep problems, level of hope, and oral pain were identified as driving factors for postoperative psychological pain in these patients. 展开更多

Acupuncture is a kind of traditional Chinese therapy which has gained increased attention in recent years. It has been shown that acupuncture is effective in treating many types of pain pathologically as well as psychologically. For instance,as a promising therapy for psychiatric disorders, acupuncture is helpful to alleviate depression, reduce the adverse effects of drug treatment at the same time.It is most widely utilized for management of chronic, noncancer pain in adults. As a non-pharmaceutical measure, acupuncture has the potential to make contribution to reduction in opioid overuse.Acupuncture analgesia can be analyzed from the perspective of psychosomatic medicine, contributing to a better understanding of its mechanism and function. The mechanisms are closely related to regulation of neurotransmitters and inflammatory factors, including down-regulation of Glutamate,5-hydroxytryptamine,dopamine,Substance P,Tumor necrosis factor-α,Interleukin(IL)-1,IL-6 and up-regulation ofβ-endorphin,endogenous opioid peptide,γ-aminobutyric acid,etc.Electro-acupuncture(EA)has pain-relief effects under some specific parameter values.Low frequency EA is more commonly used in clinical practice than high frequency EA.Our study conducts a comprehensive analysis of acupuncture analgesia and discusses associated characteristics of its mechanisms. 展开更多
