High titanium slag containing more than 90% TiO2 was prepared by carbothermal reduction of ilmenite. The temperature rise curve of high titanium slag in microwave heating process was obtained. Crystalline compounds of high titanium slag before and after microwave irradiation were obtained and characterized by X-ray diffractometry (XRD). Effects of particle size of high titanium slag anal mixtures of high titanium slag with different mass fractions of V2o5 on microwave absorbing properties were investigated systematically. The results show that high titanium slag has good microwave absorption property; untreated high titanium slag mainly consists of crystalline compounds of anatase and iron titanium oxide, while the microwave-irradiation treated one is mainly composed of crystalline compounds of rutile and irgn titanium oxide. Synthetic anatase is transformed completely into rutile at about 1 050 ℃ for 20 min under microwave irradiation. High frequency shift and low amplitude of voltage make high titanium slag an ideal microwave absorbent. 180 μm of particle size and 10% mass fraction of V2O5 are found to be the optimum conditions for microwave absorption.展开更多

The electromagnetic absorbing behaviors of ferrite/polymer coatings fabricated by dispersing Mn–Zn ferrite into epoxy resin (EP) are studied. The microstructure and morphology are characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope. Complex permittivity, complex permeability, and reflection loss of ferrite/EP composite coating are investigated in a low frequency range. It is found that the prepared ferrite particles are traditional cubic spinel ferrite particles with an average size of 200 nm. The results reveal that the electromagnetic microwave absorbing properties are significantly influenced by the weight ratio of ferrite to polymer. The composites with a weight ratio of ferrite/polymer being 3:20 have a maximum reflection loss of –16 dB and wide absorbing band. Thus, the Mn–Zn ferrite is the potential candidate in electromagnetic absorbing application in the low frequency range (10 MHz–1 GHz).展开更多

The phase formation temperature increases, while the particle size decreases as the Ladoping content goes up. The partial substitution of Sr^(2+) by La^(3+) results in the suppression effects on the growth-up of the crystallites and the enhancement of the electron hopping between Fe^(3+) with different valences, which leads to the improvement in the dielectric loss and magnetic loss. Therefore, both the microwave absorbing abilities and absorbing frequency ranges are tuned by La-doping. The synthesized Sr-hexaferrite nanopowders with doping element content of 0.10 demonstrate the fine broad microwave absorbing properties.展开更多

Micro...The microwave absorption property and infrared emissivity have been investigated for the single-layer coating made of the epoxy-polyurethane resin and carbonyl iron powders with variation of annealing treatment. Microwave-absorbing property was investigated by measuring the complex permittivity and complex permeability of the absorber in the frequency range from 2 to 18 GHz. Infrared emissivity value was measured using IR-2 Infrared Emissometer in the wavelength range of 8-14 μm. After annealing, the Fe (110) peak became sharp, and the crystallization improved significantly. Annealing treatment could reduce the sttrface energy of powders, improve compatibility between fillers and adhesives, and result in increase of the density of the coating. The lowest value of infrared emissivity (0.419) was obtained from the coating made of the carbonyl iron powder annealed at 700℃ for 1 h. With the variation of the annealing temperature, the magnetic and dielectric properties of the carbonyl iron particle were changed. The maximum reflection loss decreased and the matching frequency shifted to lower frequency with increasing the annealing temperature of carbonyl iron particles, which coincided with the variation of the complex permeability and permittivity according to the annealing temperature. Magnetic loss factor and dielectric loss factor of carbonyl iron particles were improved with increasing the annealing temperature in the 2-18 GHz range.展开更多

180 μm of particle size and 10% mass fraction of V2O5 are found to be the optimum conditions for microwave absorption.
文摘In this paper,Fe-Al solid solution was prepared by mechanical alloying technology, and Fe-Al powder was dispersed into unsaturated polyester (UP) with different contents as absorber to form mixture Fe-Al-UP.The results indicate that the alloying process is almost accomplished and most of the particles are nanometer.Meanwhile, the microwave absorbability of Fe-Al-UP samples in frequency from 0.3 MHz to 1.5 GHz was studied. The results indicate that the more the absorber, the better the absorbing property. The absorbing property of Fe-50Al-UP was slightly higher than Fe-28Al-UP.
文摘The microwave absorbing behaviour of Mn-Zn ferrite sintered at 1100,1200,1300,1400 and 1500℃ has been investigated. The phase constitution of the ferrite was analyzed by X-ray diffraction. The results show that the ferrite sintered at 1 500℃ has better microwave absorbing prop- erty than those prepared at other temperatures, due to the increase of turbulent loss generated by the formation of excessive Fe^(2+) in deoxidizing of Fe_2O_3 at high temperatures.

文摘Magnesium-substituted Mn0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4 ferrite is synthesized by the sol–gel combustion method using citrate acid as the complex agent. Thus, the Mn–Zn ferrite is the potential candidate in electromagnetic absorbing application in the low frequency range (10 MHz–1 GHz).

文摘The SiCf/SiC composites containing PyC interphase were prepared by chemical vapor infiltration process. The influences of thermal oxidation on the complex permittivity and microwave absorption properties of Si Cf/Si C composites were investigated in the frequency range of 8.2-12.4 GHz. Both the real and imaginary parts of the complex permittivity decreased after thermal oxidation. The composites after 100 h thermal oxidation showed that reflection loss exceeded-10 d B in the frequency of 9.7-11.9 GHz and the minimum value was-11.4 d B at 11.0 GHz. The flexural strength of composites decreased but fracture behavior was improved obviously after thermal oxidation. These results indicate that the SiCf/SiC composites containing PyC interphase after thermal oxidation possess good microwave absorbing property and fracture behavior.

文摘La-doped Sr-hexaferrite(Sr(1-x)LaxFe(12)O(19))(x=0.05,0.10,0.15,0.20) nanopowders with particle size ranging from 80 to 110 nm were successfully synthesized by sol-gel auto-combustion. The synthesized Sr-hexaferrite nanopowders with doping element content of 0.10 demonstrate the fine broad microwave absorbing properties.

文摘Composite fabrics with excellent microwave absorbing performance are highly desired.Herein, reduced graphene oxide/carbon nanofiber(rGO/CNF)based composite fabrics with spider web-like structure were successfully synthesized by electrostatic spinning technique. The spider web-like structure in the composite fabrics provides a connected network for efficient conductive loss of microwave energies.Magnetic loss benefits from the deposited nickel nanoparticles(Ni NPs)anchored in the carbon nanofibers.Meanwhile, the deposited thin polypyrrole(PPy)layers on the conductive network acts as a protective layer for Ni NPs as well as provides abundant interfaces for dissipating electromagnetic energies, which endow the composite fabrics stable microwave absorbing performance.Due to the synergistic effect of microwave absorb-ing mechanism, the maximum reflection loss(RL_(max))of the composite fabric at 6.72 GHz is-46.15 dB,and the effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)is as wide as 8.63 GHz(from 9.37 to 18 GHz).What's more, favorable mechanical and heat insulation properties of the composite fabrics reveal its multifunctional advantages. This rGO/CNF based composite fabric demonstrates a new direction for multifunctional and flexible microwave absorbing materials(MAMs).

文摘The microwave absorption property and infrared emissivity have been investigated for the single-layer coating made of the epoxy-polyurethane resin and carbonyl iron powders with variation of annealing treatment. Magnetic loss factor and dielectric loss factor of carbonyl iron particles were improved with increasing the annealing temperature in the 2-18 GHz range.

文摘Synthesis and characterization of lanthanum-doped yttrium iro n garnet(YIG)in the compositional se ries of Y_(3-x)La_(x)Fe_(5)O_(12)(x=0.0,0.1,0.3,and 0.5)were carried out.All compositions were made by using solid state reaction method with ball-milling technique. The phase formation, surface morphology, magnetic properties, and microwave absorbing ability of all compositions were characterized by using an X-ray diffractometer,a scanning electron microscope,a vibrating sample magnetometer, and a Vector network analyzer. The results reveal that all compositions are crystallized into Y_(3)Fe_(5)O_(12)phase(space group la-3d(230).It was observed that the lattice constant is increased from 1.2373 to 1.2421 nm with the increase of lanthanum substitution level from x=0.0-0.5.The crystallite size of Y_(3-x)La_(x)Fe_(5)O_(12)series calculated by Scherrer method is found to decrease from 78 nm in x=0.0-63 nm in x=0.5.The particle size distribution from the surface morphology image analysis is shifted to lower-range number with the increase of lanthanum substitution level from x=0.0 to 0.5.The substitution process also affects the lattice distortion in La-doped samples and changes the bond angles and bond lengths of the YIG structure. As the results,a linear correlation between the Fe'-O-Fe bond angle with magnetic properties parameters of saturation magnetization(M_(s))and remanence magnetization(M_(r))was studied.Due to the lanthanum substitution process, all La^(3+)-doped samples possess higher M_(s)and M_(r)values compared to the original composition. The results of Vector network analyzer show that the improvement of the M_(s)and M_(r)plays an important role in enhancing the microwave absorbing ability of the materials. The minimum RL changes from-8.22 dB(~85.22%microwave absorption)in x=0.0 to-14.21 dB(~96.25%microwave absorption)in x=0.5.The enhancement is mainly ascribed to the natural magnetic resonance loss and dipoIe-polarization loss due to the substitution process. The decreasing particle size also enhances the microwave absorbing ability of the La-doped samples via multiple-reflections mechanism.

文摘The composites of Ce-Co-based alloys doped with La content were fabricated via a vacuum arc melting method. The influences of La addition on microstructure, electromagnetic parameters, magnetic property and microwave absorbing property were measured by the corresponding equipment. The morphology characteristics manifest that all samples display sheet structure, and the average particle size of alloy powders increases with increasing La content The saturation magnetization(MS) decreases with increasing La addition as a whole. The minimum reflection loss(RL) of La0.4Ce1.6Co17 alloy powder about-42.29 dB can be obtained about-42.29 dB at 7.84 GHz with the matching thickness of 1.8 mm,and the corresponding effective bandwidth can achieve about 2.24 GHz.In addition, the minimum RL frequency moves towards a lower frequency region as the La content increases. The minimum RL of La0.3Ce1.7Co17alloy powder is less than-20 dB ranging from 1.2 to 2.4 mm in the whole 4-16 GHz.The maximum bandwidth can reach about 4.88 GHz at the given thickness of 1.2 mm.In general, these all indicate that the La addition is beneficial to improving the microwave absorbing performance in both effective bandwidth and absorption intensity.

文摘Magnesium-substituted MnZn ferrites with composition of Mn0.4Zn0.6MgxFe(2-x)O4(x=0.00,0.05) were prepared by citrate-EDTA(ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid) complexing method. The crystal structure, surface morphology and electromagnetic properties of the calcined samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD) analysis, scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and network analyzer(Agilent 8722ET).All the XRD patterns showed the single phase of the spinel-type MnZn ferrite without other intermediate phase. The lattice parameter and average particle size increased with the substitution of magnesium. The microwave electromagnetic properties of the samples have been studied at the frequency range from 2 to 18 GHz.It was shown that the values of ε′ and ε″ decreased slightly with the substitution of magnesium. The values of μ′ and μ″ were improved significantly, and the peak of μ″ shifted to low frequency with Mg2+ ions substituting.Furthermore, the reasons have also been discussed by using electromagnetic theory. The reflection loss(RL) ascended after magnesium was substituted.Magnesium-substituted ferrite had excellent microwave absorption properties. The frequency(with respect to-10 dB) started from 11.3 GHz,and the bandwidth reached about 3.5 GHz.The peak value of RL was about-19 dB at a matching thickness of 3.1 mm.
文摘A novel bunched cerium oxide(CeO_(2))was prepared and its binary composite material with multi-walled carbon nanotubes presented an excellent microwave absorbing properties. The morphology, structure, and absorbing properties of the composite material were investigated. It was found that the minimum reflection loss(RL)of the composite material at 15.79 GHz was−45.7 dB when the thickness was 5.5 mm.It was worth noting that when the composite material was in the thickness range of 5.0-7.5 mm and the frequency was 11.36-17.77 GHz,the electromagnetic wave RL was<−30 dB,which illustrated that the composite material had a good absorbing effect over a wide thickness range. The results of the study contributed to the design and preparation of efficient microwave absorbing materials(MAM)with rare earth oxide composites and their applications, which demonstrated the importance of new composites with special structures in the field of MAM.

文摘Microwave absorbing materials(MAMs)are playing an increasingly essential role in the development of wireless communications,high-power electronic devices, and advanced target detection technology.MAMs with a broad-bandwidth response are particularly important in the area of communication security, radiation prevention, electronic reliability, and military stealth.Although considerable progress has been made in the design and preparation of MAMs with a broad-bandwidth response,a number of challenges still remain, and the structure–function relationship of MAMs is still far from being completely understood.Herein, the advances in the design and research of MAMs with a broad-bandwidth response are outlined. The main strategies for expanding the effective absorption bandwidth of MAMs are comprehensively summarized considering three perspectives:the chemical combination strategy, morphological control strategy, and macrostructure control strategy.Several important results as well as design principles and absorption mechanisms are highlighted.A coherent explanation detailing the influence of the chemical composition and structure of various materials on the microwave absorption properties of MAMs is provided. The main challenges, new opportunities, and future perspectives in this promising field are also presented.
