BACKGROUND The intervention value of a drug-psycho-social-skill model on medication compliance and cognitive ability in patients with chronic schizophrenia was unknown.AIM To explore the intervention value of a drug-p...BACKGROUND The intervention value of a drug-psycho-social-skill model on medication compliance and cognitive ability in patients with chronic schizophrenia was unknown.AIM To explore the intervention value of a drug-psycho-social-skill model on medication compliance and cognitive ability in patients with chronic schizophrenia.METHODS Overall,98 out-patients and in-patients with chronic schizophrenia treated in our hospital from February 2022 to January 2023 were included and randomly divided into the study(50 patients)and control groups(48 patients).For 3 months,the control group was treated with conventional drugs,and the research group with a comprehensive intervention model of drug-psychology-society-skills.Data were obtained for the mini mental assessment scale(MMSE),Montreal cognitive assessment scale(MoCA),positive and negative symptom scale,insight and treatment attitude scale,cognitive ability scale and social skills[personal and social function scale(PSP)].The adverse reactions were observed.RESULTS After the intervention,the MMSE and MoCA scores improved in both groups.MoCA scores in the study group(26.58±3.21)were significantly(P<0.05)higher than those in the control group(24.68±3.02),MMSE scores were not significantly higher.Post-intervention,positive and negative symptom scores improved in both groups,and the positive and negative symptom scores in the study group[(12.01±2.58)and(32.51±2.11)]were significantly(P<0.05)different than those in the control group[(14.54±2.33)and(33.74±2.55)].Post-intervention,insight and treatment attitudes questionnaire scores of both groups were improved and compared with the control group(7.97±3.02),the study group(13.56±6.35)had significantly(P<0.05)higher scores.Post-intervention,the MATRICS consensus cognitive battery score of both groups was improved and compared with the control group(38.44±6.23),the score of the study group was significantly(P<0.05)increased(43.51±6.01).Post-intervention,the PSP score of the study group(78.38±6.63)was significantly(P<0.05)higher than that of the control group(74.52±7.01).During the intervention period,the incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was 6.25%,not significantly different from that in the control group(8.33%).During the intervention,both groups experienced adverse reactions,with no significant difference between groups(P>0.05).CONCLUSION The comprehensive intervention model based on drug-psychology-society-skills has obvious intervention effects on patients with chronic schizophrenia,which improves their cognitive ability and reduces their positive and negative symptoms.Simultaneously,it improves the self-knowledge of patients,improves their attitude toward treatment,effectively promotes the recovery of patients'social functions,and is safe.Therefore,it is worthy of being vigorously promoted and widely used in clinics.展开更多

Methods: A total of 60 tumor patients receiving oxaliplatin for 1 - 6 cycles of chemotherapy from January to September 2023 were selected. 30 patients were selected from January to March and divided into the control group, and 30 patients were selected from July to 9 as the experimental group. The control group received conventional chemotherapy nursing, while the experimental group received integrated nursing. Anxiety, peripheral nerve toxicity stage and quality of life score were compared between the two groups before and after intervention. Results: After intervention, the scores of the self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and the total scores of the oxaliplatin Levi specific sensory neurotoxicity scale in the experimental group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P< 0.05);The Quality of Life Scale (FACT-G) score of cancer patients was higher than that of control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05). Drug abuse continues to be a serious public health threat worldwide.Most drug abuse prevention research has been conducted with predominantly American or European adolescent populations.Little is known about approache...Drug abuse continues to be a serious public health threat worldwide.Most drug abuse prevention research has been conducted with predominantly American or European adolescent populations.Little is known about approaches that work best to prevent the initiation of Chinese adolescent drug use.For targeting risk factors of drug initiation in Chinese adolescents,a school-based health intervention program named "Cognition-Motivation-Emotional IntelligenceResistance Skills" (CMER) was developed to enhance cognition upon drug use,to decrease motivation of drug use and to improve emotional adjusting and drug resistance skills in this study.A total of 798 students from 3 senior high schools in Wuhan,a city in central China,were assigned randomly to intervention and control groups.The intervention group received the CMER program in which knowledge,development of positive attitude and motivation towards drugs and training of peer resistance skills were basic elements.The immediate impact was compared by measuring the above mentioned elements prior to and three-month after the training session.Students from both groups were asked to complete a self-administered questionnaire.The questionnaire included demographic items,self-reported drug use behavior,cognition,attitude,and motivation associated with the initiation of drug use and resistance skills.Three months after the intervention,significant effects were found on "illegal substance use at least once" (P【0.05) between the intervention and control groups.Immediate effects of the intervention were also found on knowledge,motivation and peer resistance skills (P【0.05),but there was no clear evidence for any effects on attitude towards substance use (P】0.05).It was concluded that the CMER program,which significantly increased the knowledge of drugs and peer resistance skills,was effective in the drug abuse prevention in a sample of school students in Wuhan,China.展开更多

The UK is the most important partner of the EU in terms of economic and other fields due to the geographical proximity.It was one of the largest economies in the EU and its per capita income is higher than the EU aver...The UK is the most important partner of the EU in terms of economic and other fields due to the geographical proximity.It was one of the largest economies in the EU and its per capita income is higher than the EU average,so it is a net contributor to the EU.With UKs membership of the EU ended on 31 January 2019,there are concerns that the Brexit may have a significant impact on the EU,resulting in social,economic,political,and institutional changes,etc.in EU.While the impact of Brexit on the UK has always been the subject of considerable scholarly interest in recent years,there is relatively little literature on the impact of Brexit on the EU.This paper focuses on the evaluation of the impact of Brexit on the EU economy and other relevant aspects along three dimensions:GDP,PPP,Quarterly GDP growth.Employing powerful quantitative analysis technology that includes vector autoregression model,multivariate time series model with intervention variables,and autoregression integrated moving average,this paper obtains the important and novel evidence about the potential impact of Brexit on the EU economy,pointing out that Brexit is of far-reaching significance to the EU.This analysis uses several statistical models to screen out several key influencing factors,which can be used to predict the total GDP of EU in the next five years.The results show that EU economy will react negatively to"no-deal"Brexit,and its growth rate of economy will slow down significantly in next 5 years.Finally,we put forward relevant policy suggestions on how to deal with the negative impact of Brexit on EU.展开更多
