Subsequently, the accuracy of models was further verified. PM2.5 concentrations were continuously collected daily from seven monitoring stations for the construction of daily LUR models from September 1 to 14, 2023. The constructed models used PM2.5 concentrations as the dependent variable, while land use, elevation, population density and road length were used as the predictive variables. Subsequently, twenty volunteers were invited to participate, with their daily PM2.5 exposure estimated based on their work address and home address, allowing their average exposure levels to be calculated. Furthermore, volunteers wore portable PM2.5 detectors continuously for a 14-day period and the average measured PM2.5 level was used as a comparative standard. Results showed that the adjusted R2 values for the 14 daily models ranged from 0.85 to 0.94, with the R2 values generated from leave-one-out-cross-validation tests all greater than 0.61, indicating good prediction accuracy. No significant differences were observed in the measurement accuracy of the LUR modeling method and measurements using a portable PM2.5 detector (p > 0.05). This study aimed to develop a novel method for the accurate and convenient measurement of individual long-term PM2.5 exposure levels for epidemiological studies in urban environments comparable to that of Jiujiang city.展开更多

The model incorporates an extensive range of parameters, including neutral number densities of CO_(2), CO,O, O_(2), N_(2), NO, N(^(2)D), N(^(4)S), Ar, and He;ion number densities of CO_(2)^(+), CO^(+), O^(+), O_(2)^(+), N_(2)^(+), NO^(+), N^(+) ions, and electrons;neutral temperature;and neutral wind fields. The MITM code employs a high-resolution grid system in a spherical geographical coordinate system, with a horizontal resolution of 5° latitude by 7.5° longitude. This altitude-resolved grid system enables accurate depiction of spatial variations in the Martian thermosphere and ionosphere. To showcase the capabilities of the MITM, we present two simulation cases: one during the equinox and another during the solstice. First, in this paper, a two-layer network consisting of an individual-opinion layer and a collective-opinion layer is constructed, and a dissemination model of opinions incorporating higher-order interactions(i.e. OIHOI dissemination model) is proposed. Furthermore, the dynamic equations of opinion dissemination for both individuals and groups are presented. Using Lyapunov's first method, two equilibrium points, including the negative consensus point and positive consensus point, and the dynamic equations obtained for opinion dissemination, are analyzed theoretically. In addition, for individual opinions and collective opinions, some conditions for reaching negative consensus and positive consensus as well as the theoretical expression for the dissemination threshold are put forward. Numerical simulations are carried to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed theoretical results, as well as the influence of the intra-structure, inter-connections, and higher-order interactions on the dissemination and evolution of individual opinions. The main results are as follows.(i) When the intra-structure of the collective-opinion layer meets certain characteristics, then a negative or positive consensus is easier to reach for individuals.(ii) Both negative consensus and positive consensus perform best in mixed type of inter-connections in the two-layer network.(iii) Higher-order interactions can quickly eliminate differences in individual opinions, thereby enabling individuals to reach consensus faster.展开更多

文摘The cryosphere component provides the most reliable and insightful indications of any planet’s climate dynamics.Using data from the Compact Reconnaissance Imaging Spectrometer for Mars(CRISM),we develop a novel approach to determining the broadband Visible and Near Infrared(VNIR)albedo of the Martian surface. This study focuses on albedo changes in the McMurdo crater, part of Mars’s south polar layer deposits. We compare seasonal and interannual variations of the McMurdo surface albedo before, during, and after the Global Dust Storm(GDS)of Martian Year(MY)34.As the seasons progressed from spring to summer, the mean albedo in MY 32 and 34 plunged by over 40%,by about 35%in MY 33,and by slightly more than 30%in MY 35.Compared interannually, however, mean albedo values within both seasons(spring and summer)exhibited no significant differences in those same years.Notably, interannual albedo difference maps reveal albedo variation of more than±0.3 in certain regions of the crater.Considering only snow-covered pixels, interannual albedo differences suggest that Mars dust had a pervasive impact on Mars’s cryosphere.Variations in maximum and minimum albedo values as high as 0.5 were observed, depending upon differences in the dust levels in Martian snow/ice.The maximum and the minimum snow albedo values were lowest in MY 34,indicating the effect of the intense dust storm event that year. The average snow albedo decreased from 0.45 in MY 32 to 0.40 in MY 33 and to 0.33 in MY 34,and then rose back to 0.40 in MY 35.This trajectory suggests a temporary deposition of dust, partially reversed after the GDS by self-cleaning mechanisms(local aeolian process and CO_(2)sublimation/deposition cycle).

文摘Internal gravity waves(IGWs)are critical in driving Martian atmospheric motion and phenomena. This study investigates Martian IGWs by using high-resolution data from China’s Tianwen-1 mission and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Mars Global Surveyor(MGS)by the radio occultation(RO)technique.Key IGW parameters, such as vertical and horizontal wavelengths, intrinsic frequency, and energy density, are extracted based on vertical temperature profiles from the Martian surface to~50 km altitude.Data reveal that the Martian IGWs are predominantly small-scale waves, with vertical wavelengths between 6 and 13 km and horizontal wavelengths extending to thousands of kilometers. These waves propagate almost vertically and exhibit low intrinsic frequencies close to the inertial frequency, with the characteristic of low-frequency inertial IGWs.Tianwen-1 data indicate stronger IGW activity, higher energy density, and less dissipation than MGS data in the northern hemisphere. Moreover,MGS data in the southern hemisphere show higher buoyancy frequencies and lower vertical wavelengths, suggesting more stable atmospheric conditions conducive to IGW propagation. These extracted IGW characteristics can enhance our understanding of the atmospheric dynamics on Mars and contribute valuable information for parameterization in global circulation models.

文摘Over the past two decades,it has become increasingly apparent that early Mars may once have been warmer, wetter and more habitable for microbial life than it is today, which has spurred discussions about potential biosignatures that may be preserved in Martian sediments. An impediment to this line of research is the pervasive oxidation of Mars’surface due to photochemical oxidants that have likely destroyed remnants of organic matter. Here,we investigate whether nitrogen(N)transferred from biomass to phyllosilicate minerals during diagenesis can be preserved in oxidized mudrocks. We investigate two sequences of terrestrial Proterozoic red beds, namely the Sibley Group(1.4 Ga)in Canada and the Stoer Group(1.2 Ga)in Scotland, and we find enrichments in authigenic N in the range of several tens of ppm in both units. The highest concentrations(ca.100 ppm on average)are found in the most desiccated red beds of the Stoer Group, concurrent with enrichments in potassium(K).We discuss similarities and differences between the two sets of rocks with regards to salinity,pH,biological productivity and K-metasomatism,and we conclude that the ideal mechanism for the preservation of biogenic N in red beds may be in-situ release of ammonium from microbial mats into the clay substrate, possibly facilitated by early diagenetic, biologically induced illitization.Illite and smectite have been observed on Mars, and experiments suggest that Martian waters contained moderate amounts of dissolved K.Hence,it is conceivable that a similar K and N enrichment process could have occurred as to what we document for the Proterozoic, preserving evidence of life that may have survived to the modern day.

文摘The InSight(Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations,Geodesy, and Heat Transport)mission has recorded continuous ambient noise signals with many spectral peaks since its landing in 2018.The majority of these peaks are modes produced by instrumental vibrations and are associated with environmental factors, such as temperature and wind energy fluctuations.Understanding how these modes react under various conditions is crucial because it aids in identifying their origins. In this study,we analyzed the three-component spectra of InSight recordings from sols 184–738 and obtained the horizontal-to-vertical spectral ratio(HVSR,also known as H/V)curves for different time intervals. The primary modes, such as those at 3.3 and 4.1 Hz,exhibited different behaviors, suggesting diverse origins. Some modes were sensitive to low temperature and some were sensitive to high temperature.Additionally,we investigated the influence of wind and temperature on the H/V curve. The peak frequency was mainly affected by temperature, whereas the H/V value was not associated with the temperature or wind only.Characterizing these modes and elucidating their origins are significant for processing signals from InSight and can provide valuable guidance for designing future planetary seismometers.

文摘With the development of the hyperspectral remote sensing technique, extensive chemical weathering profiles have been identified on Mars. These weathering sequences, formed through precipitation-driven leaching processes, can reflect the paleoenvironments and paleoclimates during pedogenic processes. The specific composition and stratigraphic profiles mirror the mineralogical and chemical trends observed in weathered basalts on Hainan Island in south China. In this study,we investigated the laboratory reflectance spectra of a 53-m-long drilling core of a thick basaltic weathering profile collected from Hainan Island. We established a quantitative spectral model by combining the genetic algorithm and partial least squares regression(GA-PLSR)to predict the chemical properties(SiO2,Al2O3,Fe2O3)and index of laterization(IOL).The entire sample set was divided into a calibration set of 25 samples and a validation set of 12 samples.Specifically, the GA was used to select the spectral subsets for each composition, which were then input into the PLSR model to derive the chemical concentration. The coefficient of determination(R2)values on the validation set for SiO2,Al2O3,Fe2O3,and the IOL were greater than 0.9.In addition, the effects of various spectral preprocessing techniques on the model accuracy were evaluated. We found that the spectral derivative treatment boosted the prediction accuracy of the GA-PLSR model. The improvement achieved with the second derivative was more pronounced than when using the first derivative. The quantitative model developed in this work has the potential to estimate the contents of similar weathering basalt products, and thus infer the degree of alteration and provide insights into paleoclimatic conditions. Moreover, the informative bands selected by the GA can serve as a guideline for designing spectral channels for the next generation of spectrometers.

文摘Skin color is considered an important beauty standard for women in China. The typical tool for skin color measurement, individual typology angle(ITA),was developed based on Caucasian skin features. The ITA effectively measures the brightness of facial skin, which is traditionally associated with beauty in Caucasian women. However,in Chinese women, whiteness is not the only determinant of skin esthetics, and other elements such as“yellowness”and“redness”are also important considerations. Thus, the hue angle system was developed based on the skin features of Chinese women, whose skin is typically on the“yellow-red”spectrum.Studies examining the skin color of Chinese women based on both the ITA and hue angle should be carried out.The skin colors of 4500 women aged 18–45 years across five different regions of China were measured using both the ITA and hue angle systems. The relationship of the“red pigment and melanin content”with the“brightness and redness of skin color”was also examined.Further, the different skin types of women across different regions were identified.Measurements based on the ITA system reveal a saddle-shaped distribution of skin brightness among Chinese women across five different regions, with skin brightness being high in the eastwest regions and low in the north-south regions. The ITA and hab values are not consistent in individual women, and thus, both need to be considered when evaluating skin color.Additionally,no correlation between the skin’s red pigment and melanin content and the skin’s ITA and hab values is identified. This study provides skin color data based on both the ITA and hue angle systems. The findings show that skin ITA/hab values cannot simply be explained by the red pigment/melanin content of the skin.Given the distribution of skin types across different regions of China, whitening ingredients causing little to no irritation should be used to formulate whitening cosmetics.

文摘The theory of network science has attracted great interest of many researchers in the realm of biomathematics and public health, and numerous valuable epidemic models have been developed. In previous studies,it is common to set up a one-to-one correspondence between the nodes of a multi-layer network, ignoring the more complex situations in reality. In the present work,we explore this situation by setting up a partially coupled model of a two-layer network and investigating the impact of asymptomatic infected individuals on epidemics. We propose a self-discovery mechanism for asymptomatic infected individuals, taking into account situations such as nucleic acid testing in the community and individuals performing self-antigen testing during the epidemic.Considering these factors together, through the microscopic Markov chain approach(MMCA)and extensive Monte Carlo(MC)numerical simulations,we find that the greater the coupling between the networks, the more information dissemination is facilitated. In order to control the epidemics, more asymptomatic infected individuals should be made aware of their infection.Massive adoption of nucleic acid testing and individual adoption of antigenic self-testing can help to contain epidemic outbreaks.Meanwhile, the epidemic threshold of the proposed model is derived, and then miscellaneous factors affecting the epidemic threshold are also discussed.Current results are conducive to devising the prevention and control policies of pandemics.

文摘In this editorial,we commented on two articles published online in August and September 2024 in the World Journal of Diabetes, which focused on modifying the gut microbiota(GM)to prevent or delay the progression of diabetes mellitus(DM)and DM-related complications.Numerous studies, many of which are animal studies, have indicated the potential role of GM in the pathogenesis of DM.However, the detailed causality and mechanisms between GM and DM have not been fully clarified.Although there have been some reports of a potential role of modifying the GM in treating DM,most lack long-term observations and are not mechanistic.Additionally, the GM and its role in DM might vary among individuals;therefore,GM-targeted interventions should be individualized to realize their therapeutic potential.

文摘In the current information society, the dissemination mechanisms and evolution laws of individual or collective opinions and their behaviors are the research hot topics in the field of opinion dynamics. The main results are as follows.(i) When the intra-structure of the collective-opinion layer meets certain characteristics, then a negative or positive consensus is easier to reach for individuals.(ii) Both negative consensus and positive consensus perform best in mixed type of inter-connections in the two-layer network.(iii) Higher-order interactions can quickly eliminate differences in individual opinions, thereby enabling individuals to reach consensus faster.

文摘Objective Our study aimed to conduct genomic characterization of Salmonella strains carrying the blaNDM-1 gene in the intestinal tract of healthy individuals. The objectives were to underscore the importance of genomic surveillance for drug resistance in both commensal and pathogenic bacteria among healthy populations, and to establish protocols for regulating drug resistance plasmids based on the completion of a comprehensive map of drug resistance plasmid genomes. Methods We performed antimicrobial susceptibility testing and employed second-and third-generation sequencing techniques to analyze Salmonella strains harboring the blaNDM-1 gene,to surveil drug-resistant bacteria in the intestines of healthy subjects.Sequence comparison was conducted using both core-and pan-genome approaches.Concurrently, conjugation experiments were carried out to assess the efficiency of plasmid transfer. Results We isolated a carbapenem-resistant Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium strain from a healthy food worker in China. This strain harbored an IncHI2/IncHI2A plasmid carrying blaNDM-1 along with multiple antibiotic resistance genes(ARGs).Our findings highlight the potential for asymptomatic carriers to facilitate the transmission of ARGs.Pan-genomic analysis revealed that blaNDM-1-positive plasmids could traverse bacterial species barriers, facilitating cross-host transmission. Conclusion This study marks the first detection of blaNDM-1 in Salmonella strains isolated from healthy individuals. We underscore the risk associated with the transmission of conjugative hybrid plasmids carrying blaNDM-1,which have the potential to be harbored and transmitted among healthy individuals.Enhanced surveillance of drug-resistant pathogens and plasmids in the intestinal microbiota of healthy individuals could provide insights into the risk of ARG transmission and pathways for population-wide dissemination via ARG transfer factors.
文摘BACKGROUND Myocardial infarction is a high-risk condition prevalent among the elderly population, often leading to adverse clinical manifestations such as reduced cardiopulmonary function, anxiety, and depression post-surgery.Consequently,cardiac rehabilitation holds immense importance in mitigating these complications.AIM To evaluate the effect of individualized cardiac rehabilitation on blood pressure variability(BPV)and baroreflex sensitivity(BRS)in elderly patients with myocardial infarction.METHODS A cohort of 74 elderly patients diagnosed with myocardial infarction and admitted to our hospital between January 2021 and January 2022 were subjected to random selection.Subsequently, all patients were divided into two groups, namely the research group(n=37)and the control group(n=37),utilizing the number table method. The control group received conventional drug treatment and nursing guidance intervention, while the study group underwent individualized cardiac rehabilitation in addition to the interventions received by the control group. All patients were continuously intervened for 12 wk,and the BPV of these two groups in the 1st wk(T0),the 4th wk(T1)and the 12th wk(T2)were compared,BRS,changes in cardiopulmonary function measures, and adverse cardiovascular events.RESULTS Of 24 h diastolic BPV,24 h systolic BPV,carbon dioxide ventilation equivalent slope of the research group were lower than those of the control group at T1 and T2,BRS,peak heart rate and systolic blood pressure product,1 min heart rate recovery were higher than those of the control group, and the incidence of adverse events in the research group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION In this study,we found that after individualized cardiac rehabilitation in elderly patients with myocardial infarction,BPV and BRS can be effectively improved, cardiac function is significantly enhanced, and a better prognosis is obtained.
