Methods: A total of 124 patients with type 2 diabetes admitted to the hospital...Objective: To analyze the clinical effects of the patient participation health model in the health management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods: A total of 124 patients with type 2 diabetes admitted to the hospital from June 2023 to June 2024 were randomly assigned to either the control group (64 patients) or the intervention group (60 patients). Patients in the control group received routine health management, while those in the intervention group were managed using a patient-participation health model with progressive, stage-based interventions. Outcomes were assessed based on blood glucose control, disease awareness, and self-management behaviors. Adverse reactions during health management were closely monitored in both groups. Results: Patients in the intervention group showed significantly better outcomes in blood glucose control, disease awareness, and self-management behaviors compared to the control group. Conclusion: The patient participation health model demonstrated significant clinical value, effectively enhancing self-management abilities, improving glycemic control, and increasing disease awareness. This model is recommended for widespread adoption in the health management of type 2 diabetes to achieve better therapeutic outcomes and improve patient quality of life.展开更多
In this editorial,we comment on the hard and soft tissue applications of different ceramic-based scaffolds prepared by different mechanisms such as 3D printing,sol-gel,and electrospinning.The new concept of regenerati...In this editorial,we comment on the hard and soft tissue applications of different ceramic-based scaffolds prepared by different mechanisms such as 3D printing,sol-gel,and electrospinning.The new concept of regenerative medicine relies on biomaterials that can trigger in situ tissue regeneration and stem cell recruitment at the defect site.A large percentage of these biomaterials is ceramic-based as they provide the essential requirements of biomaterial principles such as tailored multisize porosity,antibacterial properties,and angiogenic properties.All these previously mentioned properties put bioceramics on top of the hierarchy of biomaterials utilized to stimulate tissue regeneration in soft and hard tissue wounds.Multiple clinical applications registered the use of these materials in triggering soft tissue regeneration in healthy and diabetic patients such as bioactive glass nanofibers.The results were promising and opened new frontiers for utilizing these materials on a larger scale.The same results were mentioned when using different forms and formulas of bioceramics in hard defect regeneration.Some bioceramics were used in combination with other polymers and biological scaffolds to improve their regenerative and mechanical properties.All this progress will enable a larger scale of patients to receive such services with ease and decrease the financial burden on the government.展开更多

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and complication rates of different stone fragmentation techniques in the treatment of kidney stones.Methods:This study selected 100 patients with urinary stones treated at t...Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and complication rates of different stone fragmentation techniques in the treatment of kidney stones.Methods:This study selected 100 patients with urinary stones treated at the Third Division General Hospital from 2021 to November 2023 as subjects.The control group(n=50)received conventional percutaneous nephrolithotomy(PCNL)for stone fragmentation,while the research group(n=50)received super-mini percutaneous nephrolithotomy(SMP)treatment.Surgical parameters,stone clearance rates,recurrence rates,and complication rates were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,the surgical parameters in the research group were significantly better than those in the control group.The research group had a higher stone clearance rate and lower rates of stone recurrence and complications(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with conventional PCNL,SMP shows better clinical outcomes for patients with kidney stones.It improves surgical parameters,increases stone clearance rates,and reduces both stone recurrence and complication rates,making it a valuable technique for clinical reference.展开更多

Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is an important hormone secreted by the L cells of the small intestine during food digestion. It plays a key role in maintaining glucose homeostasis, by promoting insulin synthesis and secretion, inhibiting glucagon release, and reducing hepatic glycogen output. Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) are analogs of GLP-1 that can resist degradation by DPP4 enzyme. They exert multiple physiological effects by activating the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R) and its downstream signaling pathways, including enhancing insulin secretion, suppressing appetite, and slowing gastric emptying. As a new class of weight management drugs, GLP-1RAs have diverse weight loss mechanisms and significant clinical effects. The new GLP-1RA, which has better weight loss, better safety, and improved dosing methods, significantly improves patient compliance. Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)is a prevalent endocrine disorder that poses a significant threat to women’s health.As a classical traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)formulation,Guizhi-Fuling Wan(GFW)has a good applicat...Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)is a prevalent endocrine disorder that poses a significant threat to women’s health.As a classical traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)formulation,Guizhi-Fuling Wan(GFW)has a good application prospect in the complementary treatment of PCOS.This study aimed to systematically summarize the traditional efficacy and pharmacological composition of the Chinese medicines contained in GFW and evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of their active ingredients in the complementary treatment of PCOS.A growing number of studies have demonstrated that GFW is effective at complementally treating PCOS through various mechanisms,including inhibiting inflammatory responses,modulating the intraovarian extracellular matrix,regulating apoptosis and autophagy in granulosa cells,and correcting oxidative stress imbalances.In addition,the GFW has been shown to be effective in treating the complications of PCOS.However,there are several problems,and future work should focus on elucidating the efficacy,safe dosage,and safety of different dosage forms of GFW,increasing the toxicological value of traditional Chinese medicine,and confirming the safety of the combination of GFW with Western medicine for the treatment of PCOS.展开更多

文摘As an appropriate technique in Traditional Chinese Medicine nursing,intradermal acupuncture involves inserting a small needle into the skin at an acupoint or within the skin to treat diseases.This fully embodies the characteristics of Traditional Chinese Medicine nursing techniques:simplicity,convenience,affordability,and effectiveness.Currently,intradermal acupuncture has been widely used in clinical practice.This paper introduces the history,mechanism of action,and principle of acupoint selection of intradermal acupuncture and summarizes the application of intradermal acupuncture in common internal medicine diseases to promote their dissemination and use.
文摘Objective: To analyze the clinical effects of the patient participation health model in the health management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods: A total of 124 patients with type 2 diabetes admitted to the hospital from June 2023 to June 2024 were randomly assigned to either the control group (64 patients) or the intervention group (60 patients). Patients in the control group received routine health management, while those in the intervention group were managed using a patient-participation health model with progressive, stage-based interventions. Outcomes were assessed based on blood glucose control, disease awareness, and self-management behaviors. Adverse reactions during health management were closely monitored in both groups. Results: Patients in the intervention group showed significantly better outcomes in blood glucose control, disease awareness, and self-management behaviors compared to the control group. Conclusion: The patient participation health model demonstrated significant clinical value, effectively enhancing self-management abilities, improving glycemic control, and increasing disease awareness. This model is recommended for widespread adoption in the health management of type 2 diabetes to achieve better therapeutic outcomes and improve patient quality of life.
文摘In this editorial,we comment on the hard and soft tissue applications of different ceramic-based scaffolds prepared by different mechanisms such as 3D printing,sol-gel,and electrospinning.The new concept of regenerative medicine relies on biomaterials that can trigger in situ tissue regeneration and stem cell recruitment at the defect site.A large percentage of these biomaterials is ceramic-based as they provide the essential requirements of biomaterial principles such as tailored multisize porosity,antibacterial properties,and angiogenic properties.All these previously mentioned properties put bioceramics on top of the hierarchy of biomaterials utilized to stimulate tissue regeneration in soft and hard tissue wounds.Multiple clinical applications registered the use of these materials in triggering soft tissue regeneration in healthy and diabetic patients such as bioactive glass nanofibers.The results were promising and opened new frontiers for utilizing these materials on a larger scale.The same results were mentioned when using different forms and formulas of bioceramics in hard defect regeneration.Some bioceramics were used in combination with other polymers and biological scaffolds to improve their regenerative and mechanical properties.All this progress will enable a larger scale of patients to receive such services with ease and decrease the financial burden on the government.

文摘Cancer genomics has led to the discovery of numerous oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes that play critical roles in cancer development and progression.Oncogenes promote cell growth and proliferation,whereas tumor suppressor genes inhibit cell growth and division.The dysregulation of these genes can lead to the development of cancer.Recent studies have focused on non-coding RNAs(ncRNAs),including circular RNA(circRNA),long non-coding RNA(lncRNA),and microRNA(miRNA),as therapeutic targets for cancer.In this article,we discuss the oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes of ncRNAs associated with different types of cancer and their potential as therapeutic targets.Here,we highlight the mechanisms of action of these genes and their clinical applications in cancer treatment.Understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer development and identifying specific therapeutic targets are essential steps towards the development of effective cancer treatments.

文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)presents challenges due to its high recurrence and metastasis rates and poor prognosis.While current clinical diagnostic and prognostic indicators exist,their accuracy remains imperfect due to their biol-ogical complexity.Therefore,there is a quest to identify improved biomarkers for HCC diagnosis and prognosis.By combining long non-coding RNA(lncRNA)expression and somatic mutations,Duan et al identified five representative lncRNAs from 88 lncRNAs related to genomic instability(GI),forming a GI-derived lncRNA signature(LncSig).This signature outperforms previously re-ported LncSig and TP53 mutations in predicting HCC prognosis.In this editorial,we comprehensively evaluate the clinical application value of such prognostic evaluation model based on sequencing technology in terms of cost,time,and practicability.Additionally,we provide an overview of various prognostic models for HCC,aiding in a comprehensive understanding of research progress in pro-gnostic evaluation methods.

文摘Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy and complication rates of different stone fragmentation techniques in the treatment of kidney stones.Methods:This study selected 100 patients with urinary stones treated at the Third Division General Hospital from 2021 to November 2023 as subjects.The control group(n=50)received conventional percutaneous nephrolithotomy(PCNL)for stone fragmentation,while the research group(n=50)received super-mini percutaneous nephrolithotomy(SMP)treatment.Surgical parameters,stone clearance rates,recurrence rates,and complication rates were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,the surgical parameters in the research group were significantly better than those in the control group.The research group had a higher stone clearance rate and lower rates of stone recurrence and complications(P<0.05).Conclusion:Compared with conventional PCNL,SMP shows better clinical outcomes for patients with kidney stones.It improves surgical parameters,increases stone clearance rates,and reduces both stone recurrence and complication rates,making it a valuable technique for clinical reference.

Methods: This paper clarifies the physical basis, technological change, and clinical practice effect of carbon ion therapy, comprehensively discusses the future prospects, and evaluates the clinical application effect. Results: The technology has significantly improved the treatment effectiveness and received a positive response from patients. Conclusion: Carbon ion therapy technology has become a major innovation in the field of cancer treatment. It not only has a profound impact on many current cancer therapy methods but also indicates the application blueprint for a wider range of cancer types in the future, showing a new chapter of medical technology advancement.
文摘Spinal disorders are diseases caused by congenital, degenerative, postural errors, trauma, and external evils that result in lesions of bones, discs, ligaments, and muscles, thus compressing the nerves. Spine-related diseases include scoliosis, intervertebral disc herniation, intervertebral stenosis, spinal fracture, ankylosing spondylitis, spinal cord injury, spinal tumour, etc., which seriously affect people’s daily life. This paper summarises the relevant studies on the treatment of spinal diseases by Tongzhu therapy. The mechanism of action of Tongzhu therapy in treating spinal diseases is closely related to the control of inflammatory factors, the improvement of local microcirculation, analgesia, and the promotion of nerve repair. This paper describes the application and modern mechanism of Tongzhu therapy in the treatment of spinal diseases, which will provide a direction for future research on Tongzhu therapy.
文摘Ciprofol,as a new type of short-acting intravenous anesthetic drug,belongs to the category of gamma-aminobutyric acid(GABA)receptor agonists.Its unique chemical structure,through the introduction of the cyclopropyl group in the isopropyl side chain of propofol,constructs a new type of chiral molecule,which significantly enhances the spatial effect,and improves the affinity for GABA receptors.Its pharmacological properties are characterized by high potency,rapid onset of action,rapid recovery,low accumulation,and minimal adverse reactions.Therefore,it has a wide range of applications in various endoscopic diagnostic and therapeutic operations,ICU sedation,and general anesthesia.In this paper,the related knowledge of ciprofol and the development of clinical application research are comprehensively sorted out and synthesized,to provide a solid theoretical basis for the rational application of ciprofol in clinical practice.At the same time,the future research direction of ciprofol will also be prospected to provide valuable references for research in related fields.
文摘Objective:To explore and analyze the clinical application effect of high-quality nursing service in urology nursing.Methods:400 patients who received treatment in the urology department of our hospital were selected as the study object and randomly divided into two groups.The control group and nursing group,had 200 patients in each group.The control group received the usual nursing mode,while the nursing group received high-quality nursing services.Results:Through comparative analysis,the complication rate of the nursing group was significantly lower than that of the control group,and the satisfaction rate was significantly higher.Conclusion:The application of high-quality nursing service in the nursing of urological patients is remarkable.

文摘Obesity has become a global chronic metabolic disease, posing a serious threat to public health. Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) is an important hormone secreted by the L cells of the small intestine during food digestion. It plays a key role in maintaining glucose homeostasis, by promoting insulin synthesis and secretion, inhibiting glucagon release, and reducing hepatic glycogen output. Glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) are analogs of GLP-1 that can resist degradation by DPP4 enzyme. They exert multiple physiological effects by activating the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R) and its downstream signaling pathways, including enhancing insulin secretion, suppressing appetite, and slowing gastric emptying. As a new class of weight management drugs, GLP-1RAs have diverse weight loss mechanisms and significant clinical effects. The new GLP-1RA, which has better weight loss, better safety, and improved dosing methods, significantly improves patient compliance. This article systematically summarizes the mechanism of action, efficacy, and safety of GLP-1 receptor agonists in weight loss treatment, aiming to provide new insights and evidence for clinicians when selecting medications for weight reduction.

文摘Artificial intelligence(AI)can help in diagnosing fractures and demonstrating effusions,dislocations,and focal bone lesions in both adult and pediatric aged individuals and also aid in early tumor discovery(bone osteosarcoma)and in robot-assisted surgery.A recent AI model[Mask R-CNN(region-based convolutional neural network)]has shown to be dependable for detecting surgical target zones in pediatric hip and periarticular infections,offering a more convenient and quicker alternative to conventional methods.It can help inexperienced physicians in pre-treatment evaluations,diminishing the risk of missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis.AI has some very interesting applications in orthopedic surgery,which orthopedic surgeons should be aware of and if possible use.Although some interesting advances have been made recently on AI in orthopedic surgery,its usefulness in clinical practice is still very limited.Ethical concerns,such as transparency in AI decision-making,data privacy,and the potential loss of human intuition cannot be forgotten.Besides,it is paramount to explore how to gain trust from both healthcare professionals and patients in the utilization of AI.

文摘Polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)is a prevalent endocrine disorder that poses a significant threat to women’s health.As a classical traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)formulation,Guizhi-Fuling Wan(GFW)has a good application prospect in the complementary treatment of PCOS.This study aimed to systematically summarize the traditional efficacy and pharmacological composition of the Chinese medicines contained in GFW and evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of their active ingredients in the complementary treatment of PCOS.A growing number of studies have demonstrated that GFW is effective at complementally treating PCOS through various mechanisms,including inhibiting inflammatory responses,modulating the intraovarian extracellular matrix,regulating apoptosis and autophagy in granulosa cells,and correcting oxidative stress imbalances.In addition,the GFW has been shown to be effective in treating the complications of PCOS.However,there are several problems,and future work should focus on elucidating the efficacy,safe dosage,and safety of different dosage forms of GFW,increasing the toxicological value of traditional Chinese medicine,and confirming the safety of the combination of GFW with Western medicine for the treatment of PCOS.
