As technology has evolved into various web fields, metaphors have become even more useful and at the same time more sophisticated. A current-generation site not only has an overall theme for the site, but the organization of the information and the navigational scheme is based on a metaphor of the theme, called a Web Metaphor. A web metaphor is a design element that helps the user to leverage their existing experience in the abstract environment of the web. In this study, an approach to a thinking process model for web design is proposed through the concept of metaphors, and a theoretical analysis based on creative thinking for solving design problems is studied. This study aims to provide a glimpse into the world of metaphors and how they can be used in user interface design, to analyze selected examples, and to introduce a model web design process. As the study of the essence of creative thinking in web design is ongoing, diverse possibilities for solving problems in web design can be found through the theoretical modeling of thinking in web design. This study will also explore strategic and effective web design by establishing a mental model for web designers based on the study of metaphors that will inspire the thinking of designers.展开更多

Enhancing performance of aerial vehicles while reducing manufacturing costs and fuel consumptionhas become a focal point for contemporary researchers. Therefore, this paper aims to investigate the topologyoptimization of large cavity structures as a means to enhance their performance, safety, and efficiency. Given the rapid growth of e-commerce and the importance of understanding online customer behavior,it is necessary to develop a universal model as a means to measure the relevant construct.Website design plays an impor...Given the rapid growth of e-commerce and the importance of understanding online customer behavior,it is necessary to develop a universal model as a means to measure the relevant construct.Website design plays an important role in e-commerce because it directly affects online customers during the purchase process.Online customers will continue to be loyal because of good website design.However,the effect of website design has not been clearly defined and a suitable framework for evaluating the status of website design is lacking.The purpose of this study is to develop a comprehensive framework that can guide successful web design and examine the impact of web design on e-loyalty.207 Taobao customers from China completed an online survey.All scales were analyzed by reliability,construct validity,and convergent validity.Multiple regression analysis is used to test research hypotheses.Findings indicated that the factor of website design should be revised and classified into visual design and information&navigation design.The website design had a significantly positive effect on e-loyalty.The relative order of importance of these predictors was information&navigation design and visual design.展开更多

This WMADF allows designers to develop web -based computer aided programs in a systematic way during the collaborative mec hanical system design and analysis process. This system is based on an emerg ing web-based Content Management System (CMS) called eXtended Object Oriented P ortal System (XOOPS). Due to the Open Source Status of the XOOPS CMS, programs d eveloped with this framework can be further customized to satisfy the demands of the user. To introduce the use of this framework, this paper exams three differ ent types of mechanical design and analysis problems. First, a repetitive design consideration and calculation process is transferred into WMADF programs to gai n efficiency for wired collaborative team. Second, the considered product solid model is created directly through the use of XOOPS program and Microsoft Compone nt Object Model (COM) instances.
