Objective To observe therapeutic effect of one-finger scrubbing combined with acupuncture kinesitherapy on stiff neck. Methods One hundred cases of stiff neck were treated with one-finger scrubbing combined with acupuncture kinesitherapy at Houxi (后溪 SI 3) and Shugu (束骨 BL 65) on the affected side, once a day, three clays made one session and totally one session was required. The clinical efficacy was observed. Results Fifty-two cases were cured with one treatment, 32 cases with two treatments and 12 cases with three treatments. Totally 96 cases (96%) were cured, 4 cases (4%) were effective. Conclusion The twining manipulation combined with acupuncture kinesitherapy has obvious therapeutic effect on stiff neck. 展开更多

Fractures of the patella can be treated using a variety of methods. The objective of this study was to describe the epidemiological, anatomical-clinical, therapeutic and evolutionary aspects. Methods: This was a prospective, observational, analytic study conducted from January 2018 to December 2021. It concerned all patients over 15 years of age treated surgically for a patella fracture. The variables to be studied were epidemiological, anatomo-clinical, therapeutic and evolutionary. Statistical analysis was performed using the Chi-square test and Fisher’s exact test. Results: It concerned 51 cases. There were 39 men and 12 women. The average age was 35.13 years. The fracture was caused in 78.5% of cases by a road traffic accident. The main fracture was transverse (49.1%). Tension band technique predominated (92.1%). Complications included superficial suppuration (n = 7) and irritation of the material (n = 7). Mean time to consolidation was 66.39 days. Bösman scores were Excellent (n = 23;45.10%). Some patients presented osteoarthritic knee symptoms (n = 14;27.45%), and no pseudarthrosis. Conclusion: Patella fractures are rare. Surgical treatment gives good results, and the choice of method depends essentially on the anatomo-clinical characteristics of the fracture. Kinesitherapy is an essential and important weapon in functional recovery. 展开更多

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of lumbar disc herniation treated with electroacupuncture (EA) assisted by squatting stances. Methods One hundred and twenty-eight patients with lumbar disc herniation were randomly divided into the EA assisted by squatting stances group (group A, 64 cases) and the EA group (group B, 64 cases) in accordance with the random number table. The group B was treated with EA combined with low frequency therapeutic apparatus and massage while the group A was treated with EA, low frequency and massage assisted by squatting stances. Results Clinical curative effect in the group A was significantly better than that of the group B (93.8% vs 82.8%) and the one-year recurrence rate of the group A was significantly lower than that of the group B (10.9% vs 25.0%). Conclusion walking ability is effectively improved by EA assisted by squatting stances, which could prevent recurrence of lumbar disc herniation. 展开更多
