Objective To develop and evaluate a fine-tuned large language model(LLM)for traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)prescription recommendation named TCMLLM-PR.Methods First,we constructed an instruction-tuning dataset conta...Objective To develop and evaluate a fine-tuned large language model(LLM)for traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)prescription recommendation named TCMLLM-PR.Methods First,we constructed an instruction-tuning dataset containing 68654 samples(ap-proximately 10 million tokens)by integrating data from eight sources,including four TCM textbooks,Pharmacopoeia of the People’s Republic of China 2020(CHP),Chinese Medicine Clinical Cases(CMCC),and hospital clinical records covering lung disease,liver disease,stroke,diabetes,and splenic-stomach disease.Then,we trained TCMLLM-PR using Chat-GLM-6B with P-Tuning v2 technology.The evaluation consisted of three aspects:(i)compari-son with traditional prescription recommendation models(PTM,TCMPR,and PresRecST);(ii)comparison with TCM-specific LLMs(ShenNong,Huatuo,and HuatuoGPT)and general-domain ChatGPT;(iii)assessment of model migration capability across different disease datasets.We employed precision,recall,and F1 score as evaluation metrics.Results The experiments showed that TCMLLM-PR significantly outperformed baseline models on TCM textbooks and CHP datasets,with F1@10 improvements of 31.80%and 59.48%,respectively.In cross-dataset validation,the model performed best when migrating from TCM textbooks to liver disease dataset,achieving an F1@10 of 0.1551.Analysis of real-world cases demonstrated that TCMLLM-PR's prescription recommendations most closely matched actual doctors’prescriptions.Conclusion This study integrated LLMs into TCM prescription recommendations,leverag-ing a tailored instruction-tuning dataset and developing TCMLLM-PR.This study will pub-licly release the best model parameters of TCMLLM-PR to promote the development of the decision-making process in TCM practices(https://github.com/2020MEAI/TCMLLM).展开更多

These monomer compounds of traditional Chinese medicine act on multiple targets such as CASP8, IKBKB, IL1B, IL6, CXCL8, etc. , thereby playing a role in calming the mind and improving sleep.[Conclusions] These monomer compounds of traditional Chinese medicine had potential pharmacological effects on nonorganic sleep disorders and high value in subsequent experiments and clinical applications.展开更多

Objective:The paper is to comprehensively summarize and analyze the basic situation and methodological quality of clinical randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of traditional Chinese patent medicines and traditional Chin...Objective:The paper is to comprehensively summarize and analyze the basic situation and methodological quality of clinical randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of traditional Chinese patent medicines and traditional Chinese classic famous prescriptions published in 2022,to provide evidence and reasonable suggestions for the advancement of clinical research and the formulation of policies and guidelines.Methods:The Evidence Database System of clinical evidence-based evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine was searched,and data from China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),PubMed,and other databases were supplemented.The search duration was from January 1,2022,to December 31,2022.RCTs of traditional Chinese patent medicines and traditional Chinese classic famous prescriptions were included as the source of clinical evidence,and published information,sample size,intervention,control measures,treatment course,methodological quality,and key link report were analyzed and evaluated.Results:A total of 1,464 RCTs of traditional Chinese patent medicines were included,which comprised 667 types of traditional Chinese patent medicines;“traditional Chinese patent medicines+Western medicine vs.Western medicine”was the most widely used intervention and control setting,involving 417 RCTs(28.48%).A total of 245 RCTs of traditional Chinese classic famous prescriptions were included,comprising 55 types of traditional Chinese classic famous prescriptions.“Decoction+conventional treatment vs.conventional treatment”was the most widely used intervention and control setting,with 87 RCTs(35.51%).Published RCTs on traditional Chinese patent medicines and traditional Chinese classic famous prescriptions were limited by the study design and implementation.Most“allocation concealment”and“blinding of patients and personnel”were rated as medium to high risk.There are insufficient reports on key research links such as experimental registration and ethical approval.Conclusions:The number of RCTs on traditional Chinese patent medicines has decreased in 2022,but there has been a slight improvement in the research quality and impact.There are relatively few studies on traditional Chinese classic famous prescriptions.Measures must be taken to improve clinical trial design,implementation,and reporting.Methodological experts should be invited to provide professional technical guidance on the trial design.In the research implementation process,attention should be paid to quality control,particularly the standardization of the randomized execution.展开更多

This study aims to investigate the clinical effects and mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in treating cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury.Through a systematic review and analysis of relevant literature,t...This study aims to investigate the clinical effects and mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in treating cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury.Through a systematic review and analysis of relevant literature,the study evaluates the effects of TCM on nerve function recovery,regulation of oxidative stress responses,and its combination with Western medicine.Findings reveal that Chinese medicinal formulations,such as Danshen decoction and Naoxintong,significantly improve NIHSS scores,reduce ischemic lesion areas,and lower oxidative stress marker levels in patients.These formulations exhibit unique advantages in modulating oxidative stress and inflammatory responses,and their integration with Western medicine enhances therapeutic efficacy while reducing adverse reactions.The effectiveness of TCM prescriptions offers a novel clinical approach for managing cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury and promotes the advancement of integrated Chinese-Western treatment strategies.Further research is required to elucidate the precise mechanisms of TCM formulations to facilitate their broader clinical application.展开更多
[Objective] To investigate the mechanism of compound traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） on Newcastle disease virus （NDV） and to provide a scientific basis for the reasonable usage of antiviral drugs in clinic. [Me...[Objective] To investigate the mechanism of compound traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） on Newcastle disease virus （NDV） and to provide a scientific basis for the reasonable usage of antiviral drugs in clinic. [Method] The compound TCM was composed of Hedyotis diffusa, Lonicera japonica Thunb, Radix astragali and Glycyrrhiza uralensis. Different dilutions of fluid extract were prepared. Its antiviral effects on NDV were observed through three inoculation ways, first, inoculation with the medicine and NDV mixture which had been incubated at 37 ℃; second, incubating chicken embryo fibroblasts （CEF） with the medicine followed by inoculation with NDV; third, inoculation with N DV followed by incubating CEF with the medicine. The A,= was determined by M]-r [ 3-（4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl）-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide） ~ method. Therapeutic indexes were used to evaluate the antiviral effects. [ Result] The minimum effective concentration of the compound TCM which acted through the three ways was 1.0 × 2^-10 1.0 × 2^-8 and 1.0 × 2^-7 g/ml, respectively. The antiviral effects of the compound TCM were the best through inoculation with the incubated medicine and NDV mixture, followed by the second method and the third method. [ Conclusion] The compound TCM can not only kill NDV directly in vitro but also inhibit viral propagation.展开更多
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)compounds for the treatment of functional dyspepsia(FD).Methods The Pub Med,Embase,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,Chinese Biomedical D...Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)compounds for the treatment of functional dyspepsia(FD).Methods The Pub Med,Embase,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,Chinese Biomedical Database(CBM),Wanfang Data,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),and China Science and Technology Journal Database(VIP)were searched to collect randomized,double-blind,and placebo-controlled trials of FD treated with TCM compounds.The search duration was from the establishment of the database to March 2,2021.After two researchers independently screened the literature,extracted the data,and evaluated the bias risk included in the study,they used Rev Man 5.4 software for meta-analysis.Results A total of 23 clinical trials were included,including 2898 patients.Meta-analysis showed that the overall remission rate of FD treated with TCM compounds was significantly higher than that of placebo(73.8%vs.46.2%)[RR=1.50,95%CI(1.29,1.76),P<0.00001].Among the single symptoms,TCM compounds were superior to the placebo in improving epigastric pain[MD=﹣0.99,95%CI(﹣1.37,﹣0.61),P<0.00001],epigastric burning sensation[MD=﹣0.32,95%CI(﹣0.59,﹣0.05),P=0.02],postprandial fullness discomfort[MD=﹣1.59,95%CI(﹣1.96,﹣1.21),P<0.00001],and early satiety symptoms[MD=﹣0.93,95%CI(﹣1.32,﹣0.54),P<0.00001].Compared with the placebo,TCM compounds treatment can obviously improve TCM syndrome in patients with FD[MD=﹣5.58,95%CI(﹣7.55,﹣3.61),P<0.00001],gastric emptying rate[MD=12.22,95%CI(8.90,15.55),P<0.00001],and helped to improve patients’quality of life[MD=11.27,95%CI(0.10,22.43),P=0.05].No severe adverse events were reported between the two groups[RR=1.34,95%CI(0.91,1.96),P=0.14].Conclusion Our results showed that TCM compounds treatment could significantly alleviate FD symptoms,improve gastric emptying in FD patients,and help to improve their quality of life.No severe adverse reactions have been reported in clinical applications.Due to the limitation of the quantity and quality of the included studies,the above conclusions need to be verified by more high-quality studies.展开更多

Traditional Chinese medicine prescription is one of the treasures of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).There are tens of thousands TCM prescriptions accumulated in the past thousands of years,corresponding to differen...Traditional Chinese medicine prescription is one of the treasures of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).There are tens of thousands TCM prescriptions accumulated in the past thousands of years,corresponding to different diseases,symptoms and therapeutic goals.The correspondences are so complicated that there is an urgent need to leverage new technologies such as artificial intelligence(AI)to analyze,understand and utilize them effectively.In this paper,we present a brief overview of this direction,where current research progress on TCM prescription powered by AI is summarized.Our summarization focuses on three aspects,TCM prescription mining that aims at understanding the TCM prescription,TCM prescription or herb knowledge base construction that aims at extracting knowledge to support the TCM prescription-related study,and TCM prescription discovery that aims at utilizing AI technologies to further energize TCM.It is encouraging to see that steady progress in this direction has been made recently.Besides,a toy experiment on image-based TCM herb recognition by using convolutional neural networks is also conducted.It basically verifies that it is promising to use AI technologies to address challenging tasks in TCM.We also point out several research topics that could be cooperatively performed by researchers from the two disciplines.展开更多

[Objective] The paper was to explore the therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine on damp-heat diarrhea of piglets in summer.[Method] Three prescriptions were developed with a dozen of traditional Chinese me...[Objective] The paper was to explore the therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine on damp-heat diarrhea of piglets in summer.[Method] Three prescriptions were developed with a dozen of traditional Chinese medicines,and in vitro antibacterial test against swine standard Escherichia coli [O149：K91,K88 ac（C83907）] was conducted.Moreover,106 natural cases of diarrhea piglets caused by coinfection of damp-heat and E.coli through clinical and laboratory diagnosis were then treated.[Result] The oral liquids prepared by three traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions had certain antibacterial effect on standard pathogenic E.coli.Prescription 2 presented the strongest inhibitory effects on swine E.coli in vitro,with the MIC of 31.25 mg/m L.It had better therapeutic effect,and the effective rate reached 94.74%.[Conclusion] The prescription 2 mainly consisted of Coptis chinensis and Prunus mume might be effective in treatment of piglet diarrhea caused by damp heat and E.coli in clinic.展开更多

文摘Objective To develop and evaluate a fine-tuned large language model(LLM)for traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)prescription recommendation named TCMLLM-PR.Methods First,we constructed an instruction-tuning dataset containing 68654 samples(ap-proximately 10 million tokens)by integrating data from eight sources,including four TCM textbooks,Pharmacopoeia of the People’s Republic of China 2020(CHP),Chinese Medicine Clinical Cases(CMCC),and hospital clinical records covering lung disease,liver disease,stroke,diabetes,and splenic-stomach disease.Then,we trained TCMLLM-PR using Chat-GLM-6B with P-Tuning v2 technology.The evaluation consisted of three aspects:(i)compari-son with traditional prescription recommendation models(PTM,TCMPR,and PresRecST);(ii)comparison with TCM-specific LLMs(ShenNong,Huatuo,and HuatuoGPT)and general-domain ChatGPT;(iii)assessment of model migration capability across different disease datasets.We employed precision,recall,and F1 score as evaluation metrics.Results The experiments showed that TCMLLM-PR significantly outperformed baseline models on TCM textbooks and CHP datasets,with F1@10 improvements of 31.80%and 59.48%,respectively.In cross-dataset validation,the model performed best when migrating from TCM textbooks to liver disease dataset,achieving an F1@10 of 0.1551.Analysis of real-world cases demonstrated that TCMLLM-PR's prescription recommendations most closely matched actual doctors’prescriptions.Conclusion This study integrated LLMs into TCM prescription recommendations,leverag-ing a tailored instruction-tuning dataset and developing TCMLLM-PR.This study will pub-licly release the best model parameters of TCMLLM-PR to promote the development of the decision-making process in TCM practices(https://github.com/2020MEAI/TCMLLM).

文摘[Objectives] To find effective monomer compounds of traditional Chinese medicine targeting nonorganic sleep disorders.[Methods] The reverse thinking of "target-compound" was adopted to search for effective traditional Chinese medicine monomer compounds that intervene in the core targets of nonorganic sleep disorders, and molecular docking technology was used to verify the traditional Chinese medicine monomer compounds that meet the expected goals.[Results] Based on the storm related targets of nonorganic sleep disorders, five monomer compounds of traditional Chinese medicine were screened, namely paeoniflorin, chlorogenic acid, quercetin, baicalin, and ginsenoside Rg1. These monomer compounds of traditional Chinese medicine act on multiple targets such as CASP8, IKBKB, IL1B, IL6, CXCL8, etc. , thereby playing a role in calming the mind and improving sleep.[Conclusions] These monomer compounds of traditional Chinese medicine had potential pharmacological effects on nonorganic sleep disorders and high value in subsequent experiments and clinical applications.

文摘This study aimed to provide a comprehensive review of the research progress in Chinese medicine in the treatment of endocrine metabolic diseases in 2023,covering traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)monomers,TCM extracts,and TCM combinations,including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease,type 2 diabetes mellitus and its complications,obesity,hyperuricaemia,and thyroid disorders.After systematic sorting and summary,we found that in 2023,the research focusing on the application of TCM for endocrine metabolic diseases was still on the mechanism of action at the cellular and molecular levels,which not only influenced the classical pathways of lipid metabolism,but also delved into the key mechanisms of anti-inflammation,anti-oxidation,anti-insulin resistance,and so on.Additionally,TCM has shown remarkable results in the treatment of endocrine metabolic diseases by improving intestinal flora disorders and abnormal cellular iron death.These research results provide valuable ideas,methods,and tools for TCM in the prevention and treatment of endocrine metabolic diseases,and provide important references and guidance for future research and practice.

文摘Objective:The paper is to comprehensively summarize and analyze the basic situation and methodological quality of clinical randomized controlled trials(RCTs)of traditional Chinese patent medicines and traditional Chinese classic famous prescriptions published in 2022,to provide evidence and reasonable suggestions for the advancement of clinical research and the formulation of policies and guidelines.Methods:The Evidence Database System of clinical evidence-based evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine was searched,and data from China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),PubMed,and other databases were supplemented.The search duration was from January 1,2022,to December 31,2022.RCTs of traditional Chinese patent medicines and traditional Chinese classic famous prescriptions were included as the source of clinical evidence,and published information,sample size,intervention,control measures,treatment course,methodological quality,and key link report were analyzed and evaluated.Results:A total of 1,464 RCTs of traditional Chinese patent medicines were included,which comprised 667 types of traditional Chinese patent medicines;“traditional Chinese patent medicines+Western medicine vs.Western medicine”was the most widely used intervention and control setting,involving 417 RCTs(28.48%).A total of 245 RCTs of traditional Chinese classic famous prescriptions were included,comprising 55 types of traditional Chinese classic famous prescriptions.“Decoction+conventional treatment vs.conventional treatment”was the most widely used intervention and control setting,with 87 RCTs(35.51%).Published RCTs on traditional Chinese patent medicines and traditional Chinese classic famous prescriptions were limited by the study design and implementation.Most“allocation concealment”and“blinding of patients and personnel”were rated as medium to high risk.There are insufficient reports on key research links such as experimental registration and ethical approval.Conclusions:The number of RCTs on traditional Chinese patent medicines has decreased in 2022,but there has been a slight improvement in the research quality and impact.There are relatively few studies on traditional Chinese classic famous prescriptions.Measures must be taken to improve clinical trial design,implementation,and reporting.Methodological experts should be invited to provide professional technical guidance on the trial design.In the research implementation process,attention should be paid to quality control,particularly the standardization of the randomized execution.

文摘Psoriasis is a kind of immune-mediated, chronic, inflammatory skin disease, which is often associated with different degrees of psychological disorders. Specifically, there is a significant correlation between psoriasis and depression, and they show the relationships of reciprocal causation and mutual promotion. Psoriasis with depression is more harmful than simple psoriasis, and its prognosis is worse, which brings a huge burden to the family and society and is worthy of clinical attention. Based on the pathogenic factors of western medicine and pathogenesis of traditional Chinese medicine in psoriasis with depression, the paper summarized and elaborated the research progress on the mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of psoriasis with depression, in order to provide new ideas for clinical treatment.

文摘This study aims to investigate the clinical effects and mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in treating cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury.Through a systematic review and analysis of relevant literature,the study evaluates the effects of TCM on nerve function recovery,regulation of oxidative stress responses,and its combination with Western medicine.Findings reveal that Chinese medicinal formulations,such as Danshen decoction and Naoxintong,significantly improve NIHSS scores,reduce ischemic lesion areas,and lower oxidative stress marker levels in patients.These formulations exhibit unique advantages in modulating oxidative stress and inflammatory responses,and their integration with Western medicine enhances therapeutic efficacy while reducing adverse reactions.The effectiveness of TCM prescriptions offers a novel clinical approach for managing cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury and promotes the advancement of integrated Chinese-Western treatment strategies.Further research is required to elucidate the precise mechanisms of TCM formulations to facilitate their broader clinical application.
文摘[Objective] To investigate the mechanism of compound traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） on Newcastle disease virus （NDV） and to provide a scientific basis for the reasonable usage of antiviral drugs in clinic. [Method] The compound TCM was composed of Hedyotis diffusa, Lonicera japonica Thunb, Radix astragali and Glycyrrhiza uralensis. Different dilutions of fluid extract were prepared. Its antiviral effects on NDV were observed through three inoculation ways, first, inoculation with the medicine and NDV mixture which had been incubated at 37 ℃; second, incubating chicken embryo fibroblasts （CEF） with the medicine followed by inoculation with NDV; third, inoculation with N DV followed by incubating CEF with the medicine. The A,= was determined by M]-r [ 3-（4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl）-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide） ~ method. Therapeutic indexes were used to evaluate the antiviral effects. [ Result] The minimum effective concentration of the compound TCM which acted through the three ways was 1.0 × 2^-10 1.0 × 2^-8 and 1.0 × 2^-7 g/ml, respectively. The antiviral effects of the compound TCM were the best through inoculation with the incubated medicine and NDV mixture, followed by the second method and the third method. [ Conclusion] The compound TCM can not only kill NDV directly in vitro but also inhibit viral propagation.

文摘Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)compounds for the treatment of functional dyspepsia(FD).Methods The Pub Med,Embase,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,Chinese Biomedical Database(CBM),Wanfang Data,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),and China Science and Technology Journal Database(VIP)were searched to collect randomized,double-blind,and placebo-controlled trials of FD treated with TCM compounds.The search duration was from the establishment of the database to March 2,2021.After two researchers independently screened the literature,extracted the data,and evaluated the bias risk included in the study,they used Rev Man 5.4 software for meta-analysis.Results A total of 23 clinical trials were included,including 2898 patients.Meta-analysis showed that the overall remission rate of FD treated with TCM compounds was significantly higher than that of placebo(73.8%vs.46.2%)[RR=1.50,95%CI(1.29,1.76),P<0.00001].Among the single symptoms,TCM compounds were superior to the placebo in improving epigastric pain[MD=﹣0.99,95%CI(﹣1.37,﹣0.61),P<0.00001],epigastric burning sensation[MD=﹣0.32,95%CI(﹣0.59,﹣0.05),P=0.02],postprandial fullness discomfort[MD=﹣1.59,95%CI(﹣1.96,﹣1.21),P<0.00001],and early satiety symptoms[MD=﹣0.93,95%CI(﹣1.32,﹣0.54),P<0.00001].Compared with the placebo,TCM compounds treatment can obviously improve TCM syndrome in patients with FD[MD=﹣5.58,95%CI(﹣7.55,﹣3.61),P<0.00001],gastric emptying rate[MD=12.22,95%CI(8.90,15.55),P<0.00001],and helped to improve patients’quality of life[MD=11.27,95%CI(0.10,22.43),P=0.05].No severe adverse events were reported between the two groups[RR=1.34,95%CI(0.91,1.96),P=0.14].Conclusion Our results showed that TCM compounds treatment could significantly alleviate FD symptoms,improve gastric emptying in FD patients,and help to improve their quality of life.No severe adverse reactions have been reported in clinical applications.Due to the limitation of the quantity and quality of the included studies,the above conclusions need to be verified by more high-quality studies.

文摘[Objectives]The research aimed to carry out a retrospective analysis on the characteristics of the drug composition in the treatment of insomnia by external bath prescription of traditional Chinese medicine,to provide ideas for the research and development of new Chinese medicine for insomnia.[Methods]The external bath prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine related to insomnia were collected,and the appearance frequency of drug was analyzed,and statistical analysis of drug with high appearance frequency was conducted.[Results]In the external bath prescriptions of traditional Chinese medicine related to insomnia,the top ten herbs with high appearance frequency were as follows:Chaozaoren,Drgonsbones,Margaritifera,Yejiaoteng,Schisandrae Chinensis Fructus,Lilii Bulbus,Platycladi Semen,Poria,Coptidis Rhizoma,and Scutellariae Radix.According to the classification by efficacy,these herbs mostly have the effects of calming,nourishing and heat clearing.[Conclusions]Traditional Chinese medicine is most closely related to heart,kidney,liver and other viscera.Tranquilizing and sedative drugs should be chosen,which corresponds with the understanding on pathogenesis of insomnia in traditional Chinese medical science,and embodies the characteristics of external bath prescription of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of insomnia.

文摘Traditional Chinese medicine prescription is one of the treasures of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).There are tens of thousands TCM prescriptions accumulated in the past thousands of years,corresponding to different diseases,symptoms and therapeutic goals.The correspondences are so complicated that there is an urgent need to leverage new technologies such as artificial intelligence(AI)to analyze,understand and utilize them effectively.In this paper,we present a brief overview of this direction,where current research progress on TCM prescription powered by AI is summarized.Our summarization focuses on three aspects,TCM prescription mining that aims at understanding the TCM prescription,TCM prescription or herb knowledge base construction that aims at extracting knowledge to support the TCM prescription-related study,and TCM prescription discovery that aims at utilizing AI technologies to further energize TCM.It is encouraging to see that steady progress in this direction has been made recently.Besides,a toy experiment on image-based TCM herb recognition by using convolutional neural networks is also conducted.It basically verifies that it is promising to use AI technologies to address challenging tasks in TCM.We also point out several research topics that could be cooperatively performed by researchers from the two disciplines.
文摘Objective Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)prescriptions have been used to cure diseases in China for thousands of years,in which many TCM herbs have no definite common quantity.Some key TCM herbs are commonly used and thus deserve in-depth investigations based on a more acceptable classification method.This study analyzes whether TCM prescriptions follow Zipf's law and attempts to obtain the thresholds of key TCM herbs based on the application of Zipfs law;Methods A total of 84,418 TCM prescriptions were collected and standardized.We tested whether Zipf's law and Zipfs distribution fit the Chinese herb distributions.A linear fitting experiment was performed to verify the relationship between the frequency distribution and frequency of TCM herbs.Results The distribution of TCM herbs in TCM prescriptions conformed to Zipf's law.Accordingly,the thresholds were obtained for the key TCM herbs.Conclusion The distribution of TCM herbs in TCM prescriptions follows Zipfs law.

文摘[Objective] The paper was to explore the therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine on damp-heat diarrhea of piglets in summer.[Method] Three prescriptions were developed with a dozen of traditional Chinese medicines,and in vitro antibacterial test against swine standard Escherichia coli [O149：K91,K88 ac（C83907）] was conducted.Moreover,106 natural cases of diarrhea piglets caused by coinfection of damp-heat and E.coli through clinical and laboratory diagnosis were then treated.[Result] The oral liquids prepared by three traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions had certain antibacterial effect on standard pathogenic E.coli.Prescription 2 presented the strongest inhibitory effects on swine E.coli in vitro,with the MIC of 31.25 mg/m L.It had better therapeutic effect,and the effective rate reached 94.74%.[Conclusion] The prescription 2 mainly consisted of Coptis chinensis and Prunus mume might be effective in treatment of piglet diarrhea caused by damp heat and E.coli in clinic.

文摘Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has become very popular in the treatment of complex diseases worldwide in recent decades.Despite the promising performance of TCM,how herbs work synergistically in a formula and their therapeutic targets remain ambiguous.This largely limits the correct use and modernization of TCM formulas clinically.The study of disassembled prescriptions is important for investigating the compatibility theory of Chinese medicines.By dissecting the mechanisms of TCM formulae,the compatibility principles of some well-known formulae,such as Realgar-Indigo naturalis,have been elucidated to a certain extent.In this review,several common methods of disassembled prescription studies are summarized,including those of single herb or mineral,sub-prescription,active ingredients or effective parts,large formulae,and systems pharmacology studies,as well as the methods of grouping based on the properties or efficacy of Chinese medicines,in order to provide evidence for formulae study.Moreover,some challenges to be addressed in disassembled prescriptions studies have been identified in this review.

文摘Objective:To investigate potential mechanism of Prostate prescriptionⅠin the treatment of chronic prostatitis based on integrated pharmacology.Methods:with the help of TCMIP,the effective compounds of Prostate prescriptionⅠwere screened,and the potential target database of Prostate prescriptionⅠwas established by using the target prediction function of TCMIP.Based on the Human Phenotype Ontology database and protein interaction network(PPI)database,the disease target of CP was identified and the target interaction network was constructed;Through the GO function analysis and KEGG pathway enrichment analysis of the candidate targets,combined with Chinese and foreign literature studies to predict the potential Signaling pathway of Prostate prescriptionⅠin the treatment of CP.Results:79 effective compounds of Prostate prescriptionⅠexerted its effect on 33 targets through 11 pathways.Conclusion:Clinical efficacy of Prostate prescriptionⅠon CP may be reflected in antiinflammation and anti-tumor,cell metabolism,immune regulation,neuroregulation and so on.

文摘Traditional Chinese medicine decoction is a complex polydispersed phase system containing real solution,colloid solution,emulsion and suspension.The compound decoction of traditional Chinese medicine has complex components,including saponins,alkaloids,polysaccharides,flavonoids,amino acids and so on,which can be self-assembled to form gels,fibers,micelles,vesicles and so on.The self-assembled nano-phase not only neutralizes the single drug and reduces the toxicity and side effects,but also has its own pharmacological effects,which complement each other to achieve synergistic effect,so as to achieve the role of drug supplement,which is of research significance.The formation principle,solubilization and synergism principle and characterization method of multi-component self-assembly of traditional Chinese medicine compound decoction are discussed in this paper.
文摘Diabetes is a common clinical disease and has many complications,among which diabetic heart disease is the leading cause of death in diabetic patients.This article collected the prescriptions for the treatment of diabetic heart disease,and used the traditional Chinese medicine inheritance support system to explore the prescription formulation rules.Finally,we included 43 prescriptions for analysis.We found that the rules of formulas for treating diabetic heart disease are complex,but Chinese medicines in these formulas are mainly with the effects of nourishing Qi,nourishing Yin and activating blood circulation.At the same time,we obtained 3 new prescriptions and discussed the clinical rationality of the new prescriptions.The purpose of this article is to provide reference for clinical prescription in the treatment of diabetic heart disease and the development of related new drugs.
文摘In China,traditional Chinese medicine is widely used in the treatment of ischemic stroke,but its prescription rules needs to be further studied.This paper uses the traditional Chinese medicine inheritance auxiliary system(a software)to analyze the composition rules of a large number of prescriptions for the treatment of ischemic stroke,and discusses the clinical rationality of the new prescriptions.We found that the prescriptions for the treatment of ischemic stroke are mainly composed by herbs for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis,dredging collaterals and tonifying deficiency,and some of the new prescriptions are also in line with this characteristic.This paper can provide reference for clinical prescription in the treatment of ischemic stroke and the development of related new drugs.
