Methods: In December 2023, 600 college students were randomly sampled and administered the Digital Stress Scale, the Positive Mental Health Scale and the Emotion Regulation Scale, and correlation and mediation effect analyses were conducted using SPSS 27.0 and PROCESS V3.4 plug-ins. Results: ① Numerical stress was negatively correlated with positive mental health (r = −0.387, P r = 0.565, P < 0.01). ③ Emotion regulation has a mediating role between digital stress and positive mental health. Conclusion: College students should learn to shift their thinking, face stress with a positive mindset, tap into their interests in real life, and distract themselves from focusing on social media. Schools should enhance the effectiveness of students' emotional regulation through professional counselling to make it easier to improve their positive mental health.展开更多
