The quality of film subtitle translation directly affects the audience’s understanding and acceptance, and its importance is particularly highlighted from the perspective of multimodal discourse analysis. This study selects the Chinese and English subtitles of the film Bob Marley: One Love as the research object, starting from four levels: culture, context, content, and expression. It focuses on how subtitle translation can effectively combine various modalities such as images, sound, and text to maintain the original emotional expression and convey non-verbal information. The aim is to provide a multidimensional analytical framework for film subtitle translation, thereby enriching translation theory and providing valuable references for practical operations.展开更多
