The system was designed for type F6L912Q diesel engine and the function of the system was testified on test cell. The test results showed that the system had great advantages in power ability and emission performance. The average CNG substitution at rated load was over 80%. The dual fuel system was practical. To adopt dual fuel system was a good way to improve the engine's emission performance.展开更多

However,SOFCs present a challenging control problem owing to their slow dynamics,nonlinearity and tight operating constraints. A novel data-driven nonlinear control strategy was proposed to solve the SOFC control problem by combining a virtual reference feedback tuning (VRFT) method and support vector machine. In order to fulfill the requirement for fuel utilization and control constraints,a dynamic constraints unit and an anti-windup scheme were adopted. In addition,a feedforward loop was designed to deal with the current disturbance. Detailed simulations demonstrate that the fast response of fuel flow for the current demand disturbance and zero steady error of the output voltage are both achieved. Meanwhile,fuel utilization is kept almost within the safe region.展开更多

An intelligent PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) resistance control system is designed which can cut offthe gas branch quickly and accurately, and the controller have automatic pressure maintaining function, valve rotation limit function, remote and local control interlock function. The reliability and rationality of explosion resistance technology is verified by gas pipeline explosion propagation and resistance simulation test. For the characteristics of the main steam pressure in coal-fired power plant boiler, the sliding mode control system with Smith predictive structure is proposed to look for performance and robustness improvement. First, internal model control (IMC) and Smith predictor (SP) is used to deal with the time delay, and sliding mode controller (SMCr) is designed to overcome the model mismatch. Nonlinear model of the PEM fue...In this paper, the nonlinear state feedback controller has been developed to control the pressures of the oxygen and the hydrogen in the PEM(Proton Exchange Membrane) fuel cell system. Nonlinear model of the PEM fuel cell system was introduced to study the design problems of the state observer and model based controller. A cascade observer using the filtering technique was used to estimate the pressure derivatives of the cathode and the anode in the system. In order to estimate the pressures of the cathode and the anode, the sliding mode observer was designed by using these pressure derivatives. To estimate the oxygen pressure and the hydrogen pressure in the system, the nonlinear state observer was designed by using the cathode pressure estimates and the anode it. These results will be very useful to design the state feedback controller. The validity of the proposed observers and the controller has been investigated by using a Lyapunov's stability analysis strategy.展开更多

The real-time distributed control and diagnosis system based on the Time Trigger Controller Area Network (TTCAN) with 10 ms basic control period was developed. The concept and implementation of processor (or controller) monitor and process (or task) monitor technique based on the TYCAN were applied in this paper. The fault tolerant control algorithm of the fuel cell engine and the battery man- agement system were considered. Experimental study showed that the fuel pressure of the plunger and the fuel drainage of the pressure system after fuel injection could result in fuel pressure fluctuation in the low pressure system. Such fluctuation exhibited pulsating cycle fluctuation as the amplitude rose with the increase of the injection pulse width. The time domain analysis found that the pressure time history curve and injection cylinders corresponded with a one-to-one relationship. By frequency domain analysis, the result was that with the increase of the working cylinder number, the high frequency amplitude gradually increased and the basic frequency amplitude gradually decreased. The conclusion was that through wavelet transformation, the low pressure signal simultaneously moved towards low frequency as the high frequency of the wavelet transformation signal with the working cylinder number increased. Lastly, by using the numerical model, the study investigated the simulation research concerning the relationship of the fluctuation dynamic characteristic in the low pressure system and the fuel injection characteristic of the high pressure system, completing the conclusions obtained by the experimental study.展开更多

Concerning the integration of large-scale wind power,an integrated model of generation and transmission expansion planning is proposed based on the assessment of the value of steady state and dynamic security.In the a...Concerning the integration of large-scale wind power,an integrated model of generation and transmission expansion planning is proposed based on the assessment of the value of steady state and dynamic security.In the assessment of security value,the unit commitment simulation based on the predicted hourly load and wind power output data in the planning horizon is used to evaluate the costs of preventive control,emergency control and social losses due to the uncertainty of load and wind power.The cost of preventive control consists of the fuel cost of power generation,the environmental cost and the load shedding cost.This not only provides a systematic method of security assessment of power system expansion planning schemes,but also broadens the perspective of power system planning from the technology and economic assessment to the measure of the whole social value.In the assessment process,the preventive control and emergency control of cascading failures are also presented,which provides a convincing tool for cascading failure analysis of planning schemes and makes the security assessment more comprehensive and reasonable.The proposed model and method have been demonstrated by the assessment of two power system planning schemes on the New England 10-genarator 39-bus System.The importance of considering the value of security and simulating hourly system operation for the planning horizon,in expansion planning of power system with integration of large-scale wind power,has been confirmed.展开更多
