This algorithm employs Gaussian mixture distributions ...In order to enhance the reliability of the moving target detection, an adaptive moving target detection algorithm based on the Gaussian mixture model is proposed. This algorithm employs Gaussian mixture distributions in modeling the background of each pixel. As a result, the number of Gaussian distributions is not fixed but adaptively changes with the change of the pixel value frequency. The pixels of the difference image are divided into two parts according to their values. Then the two parts are separately segmented by the adaptive threshold, and finally the foreground image is obtained. The shadow elimination method based on morphological reconstruction is introduced to improve the performance of foreground image's segmentation. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can quickly and accurately build the background model and it is more robust in different real scenes.展开更多

The ta...Heterogeneous computing (HC) environment utilizes diverse resources with different computational capabilities to solve computing-intensive applications having diverse computational requirements and constraints. The task assignment problem in HC environment can be formally defined as for a given set of tasks and machines, assigning tasks to machines to achieve the minimum makespan. In this paper we propose a new task scheduling heuristic, high standard deviation first (HSTDF), which considers the standard deviation of the expected execution time of a task as a selection criterion. Standard deviation of the ex- pected execution time of a task represents the amount of variation in task execution time on different machines. Our conclusion is that tasks having high standard deviation must be assigned first for scheduling. A large number of experiments were carried out to check the effectiveness of the proposed heuristic in different scenarios, and the comparison with the existing heuristics (Max-min, Sufferage, Segmented Min-average, Segmented Min-min, and Segmented Max-min) clearly reveals that the proposed heuristic outperforms all existing heuristics in terms of average makespan.展开更多
Objective:To probe glycemic excursions in type 2 diabetic patients whose hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c) was kept ≤6.0%.Methods:Totally 36 cases with type 2 diabetes(T2DM) with HbA1c≤6.0% and 30 cases with normal glucose tole...Objective:To probe glycemic excursions in type 2 diabetic patients whose hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c) was kept ≤6.0%.Methods:Totally 36 cases with type 2 diabetes(T2DM) with HbA1c≤6.0% and 30 cases with normal glucose tolerance(NGT) from December 2005 to December 2007 in our department were subjected prospectively.Continuous glucose monitoring system(CGMS) was employed to record their continuous blood glucose level for 3 d.The blood glucose profiles including the mean blood glucose(MBG),standard differentiation(SD),mean amplitude of glycemic excursions(MAGE) and absolute means of daily differences(MODD) were analyzed.Results:T2DM group had obviously postprandial hyperglycemia,in about 2 h after meal,especially after breakfast.Fifty-two hypoglycemic episodes occurred during the monitoring period in T2DM groups,of which 73.1%(38 episodes) were absence of symptomatic hypoglycemia with the lowest value of blood glucose only 2.0 mmol/L.And 20 episodes took place during the day hours,while 32 episodes observed during the night hours.Compared with NGT groups,SD,MAGE and MODD were all significantly higher in T2DM groups.MBG was significantly correlated with HbA1c in T2DM groups,but SD,MAGE,NGE and MODD were all independent of HbA1c.MAGE was independent of MODD.Conclusion:The amplitude of glycemic excursions is higher in normol-controlled T2DM groups than the NGT groups.Thus ideally glycemic control is not only to make HbA1c reach standard,but also to lessen glycemic excursions and reduce hypoglycemia episodes.展开更多

The method is based on the catalytic effect of manganese(Ⅱ) with the oxidation of weak acid brilliant blue dye(RAWL)...A new kinetic spectrophotometric method is developed for the measurement of manganese(Ⅱ) in water. The method is based on the catalytic effect of manganese(Ⅱ) with the oxidation of weak acid brilliant blue dye(RAWL) by KIO4 using the Nitrilo triacetic acid(NTA) as an activation reagent. The optimum conditions obtained are 40 mgL-1 RAWL,1×10-4molL-1 KIO4,2×10-4 molL-1 Nitrilo triacetic acid(NTA),pH = 5.8,the reaction time of 3.00 min and the temperature of 20.0 ℃. Under the optimum conditions,the proposed method allows the measurement of manganese(Ⅱ) in a range of 0-50.0 ng mL-1 and with a detection limit of down to 0.158 ng mL-1. The recovery efficiency in measuring the standard manganese(Ⅱ) solution is in a range of 98.5%-102%,and the RSD is in a range of 0.76%-1.25%. The new method has been successfully applied to the measurement of manganese(Ⅱ) in both fresh water and seawater samples with satisfying results. Moreover,few cations and anions interfere with the measurement of manganese(Ⅱ). Compared with other kinetic catalytic methods and instrumental methods,the proposed method shows fairly good selectivity and sensitivity,low cost,cheapness,low detection limit and rapidity. A simple and sensitive high performance liquid chromatography-chemical vapour generation-atom fluorescent spectrometry (HPLC-CVG-AFS) method was developed and validated for simultaneous determination mercury species...A simple and sensitive high performance liquid chromatography-chemical vapour generation-atom fluorescent spectrometry (HPLC-CVG-AFS) method was developed and validated for simultaneous determination mercury species in Su-He-Xiang-Wan (SHXW) and in tissues of rats, respectively. The species of mercury were separated by a Venusil MP-C 18 (5μm, 150 mm×4.6 ram) column with the optimized mobile phase containing 5% (w/v) acetonitrile, 0.01 mol/L L-cysteine and 0.06 moL/L ammonium acetate. The tissues of rats were freeze-dried after giving the medicine for 10 d, and then added into the solution containing 10% (w/v) HC1, 1% (w/v) sulfocarbamide and 0.15% (w/v) KC1 for increasing extraction rate. The resolutions of Hg2+, MeHg and EtHg were 1.5 and 2.9, respectively. The detection limits of Hg2+, MeHg and EtHg were 2.0, 1.0 and 0.9 ng/mL, respectively. The relative standard deviation (RSD) of inter- and intra-day precisions ranged from 1.56% to 2.86%. The recovery rates of three different adding level were 87%-101% (n=6), and the RSDs were smaller than 8.2%. The results show that no MeHg and EtHg were detected in rat tissues. Only soluble mercury (Hg2+) was determined for the mercury species of SHXW in rat tissues.展开更多
