The IRBFANNs hybridize the advantages of the artificial neural networks and the neural networks integration approach. Three experimental projects under different sampling densities are carried out to study the performance of the proposed IRBFANNs-based interpolation method. This novel method is compared with six peer spatial interpolation methods based on the root mean square error and visual evaluation of the distribution maps of Mn elements. The experimental results show that the proposed method performs better in accuracy and stability. Moreover, the proposed method can provide more details in the spatial distribution maps than the compared interpolation methods in the cases of sparse sampling density.展开更多

The observed data from microseismic monitoring during mining are represented by a wave equation in a spherical coordinate system and then the data are transformed from the time-space domain to the time-slowness domain based on tomographic principle, from whichwe can obtain the signals related to the source in the time-slowness domain. Through analyzing the relationship between the signal located at the maximum energy and the source function, we derive the tomographic equations to compute the source function from the signals and to calculate the effective radiated energy based on the source function. Moreover, we fit the real amplitude spectrum of the source function computed from the observed data into the co-2 model based on the least squares principle and determine the zero-frequency level spectrum and the corner frequency, finally, the source rupture radius of the event is calculated and The synthetic and field examples demonstrate that the proposed tomographic inversion methods are reliable and efficient展开更多

When two complementary firms with heterogeneous assets are both breached, it is assumed that they suffer different losses which are associated with their information assets. Some insights about optimal strategies for the firms and the attacker are obtained by the game theory, which forms a comparison with those derived from substitutable firms, and those derived from complementary firms with homogenous loss. In addition, both the unit transform cost of investment and the extent of firms'loss affect the optimal strategies.Assuming that firms can control information sharing, security investments and both of them, respectively, the effect of the social planner is further analyzed on the information sharing, firms' aggregate defence, the aggregate attack and social total cost. Finally, some policy advice is provided through numerical simulation. Results show that firms are willing to choose security investment centrally rather than individually, but an intervention in information sharing by the social planner may not necessarily be preferable.展开更多

The prediction accuracy of this method is verified by using the independent non-homologous protein database. It is shown that the average absolute errors for resubstitution test are 0.070 and 0.068 with the standard deviations 0.049 and 0.047 for the prediction of the content of α-helix and β-sheet respectively. For cross-validation test, the average absolute errors are 0.075 and 0.070 with the standard deviations 0.050 and 0.049 for the prediction of the content of α-helix and β-sheet respectively. Compared with the other methods currently available, the BP neural network method combined with the amino acid composition and the biased auto-correlation function features can effectively improve the prediction accuracy.展开更多

The approach is to predict petrophysical properties in the laboratory on the basis of physical rock datasets, which include the formation factor, viscosity, permeability, and molecular composition. However, this approach does not consider the effect of spatial distribution of the calibration data on the interpolation result. This study proposes a new RBF interpolation approach based on the Freedman's RBF interpolation approach, by which the unit basis functions are uniformly populated in the space domain. The inverse results of the two approaches are comparatively analyzed by using our datasets. We determine that although the interpolation effects of the two approaches are equivalent, the new approach is more flexible and beneficial for reducing the number of basis functions when the database is large, resulting in simplification of the interpolation function expression. Plot and field experiments were used to obtain the crop water sensitivity index, the salinity sensitivity index, and other parameters. Using data collected during 35 years to calculate the 10-day mean precipitation and evaporation, the variation in soil salinity concentrations and in the yields of winter wheat and cotton were simulated for 49 irrigation scheduling that were combined from 7 irrigation schemes over 3 irrigation dates and 7 salinity concentrations of saline irrigation water (fresh water and 6 levels of saline water). Comparison of predicted results with irrigation data obtained from a large area of the field showed that the model was valid and reliable. Based on the analysis of the investment cost of the irrigation that employed deep tube wells or shallow tube wells, a saline water irrigation schedule and a corresponding strategy for groundwater development and utilization were proposed. For wheat or cotton, if the salinity concentration was higher than 7.0 g L-1 in groundwater, irrigation was needed with only fresh water; if about 5.0 g L-1, irrigation was required twice with fresh water and once with saline water; and if not higher than 3.0 g L-1, irrigation could be solely with saline water.展开更多
