The secondary objective was to determine effects of a pharmacist provided educationa...The primary objective of the study was to evaluate baseline patient perception on single versus multiple community pharmacy systems. The secondary objective was to determine effects of a pharmacist provided educational intervention on perception of using a single community pharmacy system. This was a prospective survey based study implemented in a single grocery store chain pharmacy and one location of a large retail pharmacy. An anonymous pre-survey was administered to eligible patients. The primary investigator then delivered a brief educational intervention followed by an anonymous post survey. This aimed to determine if there was a change in perception of components assessed in the pre-survey. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics. Subjects reported using approximately 1.5 pharmacies. Major reasons included cost, location, and immunizations. 63% of subjects answered that their pharmacist will not have an accurate medication list when using multiple pharmacies, however, 92% of subjects responded that the pharmacist should be aware of all medications they take. Education on multiple pharmacy use may help protect against its risks. Cognizance of medications filled at other pharmacies and close communication between patients and pharmacists may help foster pharmacist-patient relationships while reducing the risk of multiple pharmacy use.展开更多

Of th...In 2012, 92 Administrative, Technical and Service Staff （ATS S） grievances （unresolved departmental conflicts） were referred to the Industrial Relations arm of the HR division of the UWI St Augustine Campus. Of these trade disputes, 52 cases were ＂resolved＂ and 10 unresolved cases were referred to the Ministry of Labor. In 2009, 692 disputes from various organizations nationally were lodged at the Industrial Court of Trinidad and Tobago--781 in 2010, 778 in 2011 and at September 25th, 2012, 566 were filed （Swamber, 2012）. Vincent Cabera, president of the Banking, Insurance and General Workers Union, expressing his grave concern about these statistics cited inter alia, noted that ＂work stoppages that currently persist in society owed to the malfunctioning of the industrial relations system of the twin island＂. Legitimate members of the Recognized Majority Union （RMU）, who have within the past year at the Campus experienced unresolved conflicts at the departmental level that progressed to trade disputes will be eligible to participate and electronically administered a semi-structured questionnaire developed to determine the frequency and causes of unresolved conflict, their perceptions of its handling, as well as Form A of the Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory II （ROCI-II） （Rahim, 1983） to classify the conflict management style of their Heads of departments.展开更多

Therefore. teaching is an effective way of introducing novel methods to researchers at an early stage. Assessments on scales produce ordinal data having rank-invariant properties only, which means that suitable statistical methods are non-parametric and often rank-based. These limited mathematical properties have been taken into account in the research regarding development of statistical methods for paired ordinal data. The aim is to present a statistical method for paired ordinal data that has been successfully implemented to researchers from various disciplines together with statisticians attending interactive problem solving courses of biostatistics.展开更多

In this paper, an improved ...As feature size scales down, reliability issues like single event upset(SEU) have become serious for circuit and system designers, especially for those who work on memory and latch designs. In this paper, an improved SEU tolerant data cell design based on the Quatro-10 T cell is proposed. The introduced cell enhances the capability of SEU tolerance by weakening the key transistors in the feedback loop to block the effects of transient fault. Simulation results show that our proposed design achieves obvious higher resilience to SEU and better performance on speed and power dissipation at the expense of an increased area. The proposed cell is a fully SEU immune design with an amount of critical charge at least 7 times more than the Quatro-10 T cell and has the lowest Power Delay Product. It shows that our design is very suitable in high-performance circuit and system design.展开更多
