The diameter and shell thickness of the hollow SiO2 spheres increase with increasing the latex template diameter at a given mass ratio of SiO2 to latex template. The diameter and shell thickness of the hollow SiO2 spheres also increase with increasing the mass ratios of SiO2 to latex template. The presence of carboxylic acid groups on the surfaces of polystyrene-methyl acrylic acid latex templates favors the formation of dense and uniform SiO2 shells. The hollow SiO2 sphere is constructed by mesoporous shell with large specific surface area. FTIR, XPS, and TG-TDG were employed to characterize their structures. The results revealed there are two types of bromine in the BEPS molecule. One is in the main chain of polystyrene and the other is in the acetyl. The results of TG-DTG showed that the rates of loss weight of PS, EPS, and BEPS were 92.7%, 92.2%, and 81.3% among the 300 ℃~500 ℃; 7.3%, 7.8%, and 18. 7% in 594 ℃, 660 ℃, and 584.8 ℃, respectively.展开更多

The crystal belongs to the monoclinic system with space group P21/n, a=8.101(1), b=8.958(2), c=33.281(5)?,β= 94.910(1)(, V=2406.3(7)?3, Z=4, Dc=1.279g/cm3, μ=0.176mm-1, F(000)=984, final R=0.0409, and Rw=0.0860 for 4401 independent reflections. The result shows that in the crystal structure of the title compound the planar cations have two configurations with equal occupation ratio and are antiparally packed through π…π interactions. The aim of this study was to develop a novel pharmaceutical excipient:an anion exchange resin.Initially,polystyrenedivinylbenzene(PS-DVB)microspheres were synthesized via suspension polymerization.Subsequently,these m...The aim of this study was to develop a novel pharmaceutical excipient:an anion exchange resin.Initially,polystyrenedivinylbenzene(PS-DVB)microspheres were synthesized via suspension polymerization.Subsequently,these microspheres served as a substrate for chloromethylation using methanol,formaldehyde,and chlorosulfonic acid.By optimizing the reaction conditions,the chloromethylated microspheres were characterized using infrared spectroscopy,scanning electron microscopy,and the Mohr method.Under optimal reaction conditions,the resulting products exhibited uniformity and spherical morphology,with an average particle size of approximately 190μm.The PS-DVB microspheres effectively incorporated chloromethyl groups,as evidenced by a chlorine content of 14.67%.Scanning electron microscopy analysis indicated that the appearance of the microspheres remained largely unchanged post-reaction.Overall,the research findings demonstrated the successful preparation of the anion exchange resin.Characterization and quality assessment confirmed that the ion exchange resin met the required standards.展开更多
Many technological applications require templates with nanoscale patterns.Block copolymer self-assembly is a method of choice for obtaining a large variety of such patterns,with greatest flexibility achieved when comb...Many technological applications require templates with nanoscale patterns.Block copolymer self-assembly is a method of choice for obtaining a large variety of such patterns,with greatest flexibility achieved when combined with a supramolecular approach.One of the ways to fabricate block copolymer templates is the Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) technique.Here,we briefly summarize recent work with LB films of polystyrene-poly(4-vinyl pyridine) (PS-P4VP) mixed with 3-n-pentade cylphenol (PDP),illustrating the different types of patterns possible and the principles governing them.One interesting pattern that can be easily achieved with this system is the so-called "nanostrand network",which,when used as a template for gold deposition,can produce double striped lines of gold.Here,we show how this pattern can be modified by acetone swelling to give rise to gold monolayer ribbons with internal structure.The results also suggest new insights into the early stages of morphology formation at the air/water interface.展开更多
