A questionnaire survey was conducted on 244 college students (M = 21.13 years, SD = 1.62) to investigate their “lying flat” psychology, independent needs and mental health. The results showed that: 1) The psychological expectation dimension of “lying flat” of college students negatively predicts mental health, that is, the more “lying flat” in the expectation dimension, the more unhealthy the psychology. 2) The need for autonomy plays an intermediary role between the “lying flat” psychological expectation dimension and mental health. The research shows that the psychological expectation dimension of college students’ “lying flat” affects mental health through independent needs, which is of great significance for college students to correctly treat “lying flat” psychology and guide them to avoid negative effects.展开更多
