It is a song of longing, remembering the pain of parting and lovesickness. Li Shangyin uses the word “Farewell” to arouse the following, depicting the pain and longing of a pair of lovers at the time of parting, and expressing the deep feelings of lovesickness and parting. Taking Xu Yuanchong’s translation and Zhuo Zhenying’s translation as examples, this paper analyzes different translators’ understanding of the poem’s mood, language rhythm, and emotional expression from the perspective of the “Three Beauties” Theory. This comparative analysis helps readers gain a deeper understanding of the connotations and charm of To One Unnamed. By appreciating the two translations, readers can more comprehensively grasp the artistic conception and aesthetic appeal of the poem To One Unnamed, while also experiencing the distinct translation philosophies and techniques employed by different translators.展开更多
