The axions would be produced from a quark-antiquark pair uu¯or dd¯, in loop(s) involving gluons. The chiral anomaly of QCD and the spontaneously broken symmetry are invoked to explain the non-conservation of the axion current. From the coupling form factors, the axion emissivities ϵacan be derived, from which fluxes can be determined. We predict a photon flux, which may be detectable by Fermi LAT, and limits on the QCD mass ma. In this model, axions decay to gamma rays in a 2-photon vertex. We may determine the expected fluxes from the theoretical emissivity. The sensitivity curve from the Fermi Large Area Telescope (Fermi LAT) would allow axion mass constraints for neutron stars as low as ma≤10−14eV 95% C.L. Axions could thus be detectable in gamma rays for neutron stars as distant as 100 kpc. A signal from LIGO GWS 170817 could be placed from the NS-NS merger, which gives an upper limit of ma≤10−10eV.展开更多

The purpose of this experiment is to create an improved version of the diagram with a three-dimensional model that includes a third z-axis to accurately predict and chart the life cycles of all stars regardless of size. The values of the stars’ absolute magnitude and color indices were used to chart the surface gravity and metallicity, variables that were chosen due to their ease of collection and their likeliness to be within the range of values being assessed. To obtain the values for the model, data points from the database GAIA DR2 were utilized via the TAP protocol to query the SQL database. The data was transferred into a local CSV file to facilitate data manipulation. The data could be read and interpreted, as dim stars would likely have higher values of these variables, making it easier to include them in the diagram. The Pandas DataFrames tool on Python 3 was used to organize and manage the data efficiently. Matplotlib Graphs visualized the relationships between different stellar attributes by developing a linear regression line and an algorithm and creating scatter plots and sky maps to explore trends, hence designing three-dimensional diagrams. A diffu- sion coefficient of magnetic angular momentum transport is deduced. Rotating stellar models with different mass incorporating the coefficient are computed to give the rotation profiles. The total angular momentum of a solar model with only hydrodynamic instabilities is about 13 times larger than that of the Sun at the age of the Sun, and this model can not reproduce quasi-solid rotation in the radiative region. The rotation of solar-like stars with magnetic fields is almost uniform in the radiative region, but for models of 1.2-1.5 MG, there is an obvious transition region between the convective core and the radiative region, where angular velocity has a sharp radial gradient, which is different from the rotation profile of the Sun and of massive stars with magnetic fields. Using the method of Phase Dispersion Minimization (PDM) and Fourier analysis (software PERIOD04), the rotation periods of these stars were determined from the photometric data. The rotation periods of all nine stars are shorter than about 3 days. It is suggested that, as with the Pleiades cluster, small amplitude light variations are quite common among young solar-type stars with rotation periods around 3 days or less. This gives further evidence for the spin up of solar-type stars predicted by models of angular momentum evolution of pre-main sequence stars.展开更多

The recently published Third U. S. Naval Observatory CCD Astrograph Catalog (UCAC3) provides the opportunity to test this problem using three-dimensional velocity in order to obtain more reliable rotation curves. We intend to study the Galactic rotation curve up to 15 kpc using the radial velocities and proper motions of carbon stars. The motivation for using UCAC3 is to provide high precision proper motions which have hardly been used in determining the rotation velocity of tracers. Seventy-four carbon stars and carbon-rich Mira variables toward the anti-center direction (90° 〈 l 〈 270°, |b| 〈 6°) are picked up from the literature then matched with UCAC3 carbon star candidates to obtain their proper motions. A rigorous geometrical method is employed to compute the rotation velocity of each object. Taking carbon stars as tracers, we find a flat rotation curve of 210 ± 12 kms^-1 assuming R0 = 8.0kpc for the galactocentric distance and V0 = 220kms^-1 for the rotation velocity of the Sun. Due to the uncertainties of distances, the rotation velocities are more dispersed if tangential velocities enter the calculation, compared to those derived from radial velocities only. However, the whole rotation curve shows coherence with previous results. Increasing observation and study of carbon stars would be desirable in order to provide more homogeneous data for the kinematical study of the Galactic disk.展开更多

The new theory perfects the basic theoretical system of classical mechanics, which finds the law of mutual interaction between particle groups, reveals the limitations of Newton’s third law, discovers the principle of the intrinsic relationship between gravity and tidal force, reasonably interprets the origin and change laws for the rotation angular momentum of galaxies and stars and so on. By applying new theory, the multi-body problem can be transformed into a special two-body problem and for which an approximate solution method is proposed, the motion law of each particle can be roughly obtained.展开更多

Most of the existing studies on blade rubbing in the shaft-disk-blade-casing(SDBC) system have overlooked the elastic deformation of the blade, while some only consider the whirl of the rotor, neglecting its spin. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a dynamic model with large rotation for the SDBC system. The model incorporates the spin and whirl of the rotor, enabling the realistic reproduction of multiblade rubbing faults. To verify the accuracy of the SDBC model with large rotation and demonstrate its capability to effectively consider the rotational effects such as the centrifugal stiffening and gyroscopic effects, the natural characteristics and dynamic responses of the proposed model are compared with those obtained from reported research and experimental results. Furthermore, the effects of the rotating speed, contact stiffness, and blade number on the dynamic characteristics of the SDBC system with multi-blade rubbing are investigated. The results indicate that the phase angle between the rotor deflection and the unbalance excitation force increases with the increasing rotating speed, which significantly influences the rubbing penetration of each blade. The natural frequency of the SDBC system with rubbing constrain can be observed in the acceleration response of the casing and the torsional response of the shaft, and the frequency is related to the contact stiffness. Moreover, the vibration amplitude increases significantly with the product of the blade number under rubbing, and the rotating frequency approaches the natural frequency of the SDBC system. The proposed model can provide valuable insight for the fault diagnosis of rubbing in bladed rotating machinery.展开更多

This gives further evidence for the spin up of solar-type stars predicted by models of angular momentum evolution of pre-main sequence stars.

文摘The availability of astrometfic data and radial velocities of carbon stars near the Galactic plane enables us to investigate the kinematics of the Milky Way, especially the rotation curve. Increasing observation and study of carbon stars would be desirable in order to provide more homogeneous data for the kinematical study of the Galactic disk.

文摘Strangeon stars, which are proposed to describe the nature of pulsar-like compact stars, have passed various observational tests. The maximum mass of a non-rotating strangeon star could be high, which implies that the remnants of binary strangeon star mergers could even be long-lived massive strangeon stars. We study rigidly rotating strangeon stars in the slowly rotating approximation, using the Lennard-Jones model for the equation of state.Rotation can significantly increase the maximum mass of strangeon stars with unchanged baryon numbers, enlarging the mass-range of long-lived strangeon stars.During spin-down after merger, the decrease of radius of the remnant will lead to the release of gravitational energy.Taking into account the efficiency of converting the gravitational energy luminosity to the observed X-ray luminosity,we find that the gravitational energy could provide an alternative energy source for the plateau emission of X-ray afterglow. The fitting results of X-ray plateau emission of some short gamma-ray bursts suggest that the magnetic dipole field strength of the remnants can be much smaller than that of expected when the plateau emission is powered only by spin-down luminosity of magnetars.

文摘Additive friction stir deposition(AFSD)is a novel structural repair and manufacturing technology has become a research hotspot at home and abroad in the past five years. In this work, the microstructural evolution and mechanical performance of the Al-Mg-Si alloy plate repaired by the preheating-assisted AFSD process were investigated. To evaluate the tool rotation speed and substrate preheating for repair quality, the AFSD technique was used to additively repair 5 mm depth blind holes on 6061 aluminum alloy substrates. The results showed that preheat-assisted AFSD repair significantly improved joint bonding and joint strength compared to the control non-preheat substrate condition. Moreover, increasing rotation speed was also beneficial to improve the metallurgical bonding of the interface and avoid volume defects.Under preheating conditions, the UTS and elongation were positively correlated with rotation speed.Under the process parameters of preheated substrate and tool rotation speed of 1000 r/min,defect-free specimens could be obtained accompanied by tensile fracture occurring in the substrate rather than the repaired zone. The UTS and elongation reached the maximum values of 164.2MPa and 13.4%,which are equivalent to 99.4%and 140%of the heated substrate, respectively.
文摘In the present paper, the establishment of a systematic multi-barycenter mechanics is based on the multi-particle mechanics. By applying new theory, the multi-body problem can be transformed into a special two-body problem and for which an approximate solution method is proposed, the motion law of each particle can be roughly obtained.

文摘Recent research in cross-domain intelligence fault diagnosis of machinery still has some problems, such as relatively ideal speed conditions and sample conditions. In engineering practice, the rotational speed of the machine is often transient and time-varying,which makes the sample annotation increasingly expensive.Meanwhile, the number of samples collected from different health states is often unbalanced. To deal with the above challenges,a complementary-label(CL)adversarial domain adaptation fault diagnosis network(CLADAN)is proposed under time-varying rotational speed and weakly-supervised conditions. In the weakly supervised learning condition, machine prior information is used for sample annotation via cost-friendly complementary label learning.A diagnosticmodel learning strategywith discretized category probabilities is designed to avoidmulti-peak distribution of prediction results. In adversarial training process,we developed virtual adversarial regularization(VAR)strategy, which further enhances the robustness of the model by adding adversarial perturbations in the target domain.Comparative experiments on two case studies validated the superior performance of the proposed method.

文摘The tidal interactions of planets affect the stellar evolutionary status and the constraint of their physical parameters by gyrochronology. In this work,we incorporate the tidal interaction and magnetic braking of the stellar wind into MESA and calculate a large grid of 25,000 models, covering planets with masses of 0.1–13.0MJ with different orbital distances that orbit late-type stars of different metallicities. We also explore the effect of different stellar initial rotations on the tidal interactions. Our results show that in the case of tidal inward migration, the stellar rotation periods are always lower than that of the star without planet before the planet is engulfed and the difference in the rotation period of its host star always increases with time. After the planet is engulfed, the stellar rotation periods are still lower than that of star without planet, but the difference of periods can be quickly eliminated if the star has a thick convective envelope(smaller mass and larger metallicity),regardless of the mass of the planet and the initial rotation period of the star.In the case of stars with thinner convective envelopes(larger mass and smaller metallicity),the stars will be spun up and remain the faster rotation in a long time.Meanwhile, the planet is easily swallowed and the period differences are large if the initial rotation period of its host star is higher. Finally,we also study the evolution of WASP-19 and estimate the range of tidal quality parameter Q_(*)^(')=(4.6±0.9)×10^(6)and the initial semimajor axis as(0.035±0.004)au.

文摘The failure modes of rock after roadway excavation are diverse and complex.A comprehensive investigation of the internal stress field and the rotation behavior of the stress axis in roadways is essential for elucidating the mechanism of roadway failure. This study aimed to examine the spatial relationship between roadways and stress fields. The law of stress axis rotation under three-dimensional(3D)stress has been extensively studied.A stress model of roadways in the spatial stress field was established, and the far-field stress state at different spatial positions of the roadways was analyzed.A mechanical model of roadways under a 3D stress state was established using far-field stress solutions as boundary conditions. The distribution of principal stressesσ1,σ2 andσ3 around the roadways and the variation of the stress principal axis were solved. It was found that the stability boundary of the stress principal axis exhibits hysteresis when compared with that of the principal stress magnitudes.A numerical analysis model for spatial roadways was established to validate the distribution of principal stress and the mechanism of principal axis rotation.Research has demonstrated that the stress axis undergoes varying degrees of spatial rotation in different orientations and radial depths.Based on the distribution of principal stress and the rotation law of the stress principal axis, the entire evolution mechanism of the two stress adjustments to form the final failure form after roadway excavation has been revealed. The on-site detection results also corroborate the findings presented in this paper. The results provide a basis for the analysis of the failure mechanism under a 3D stress state.

文摘Purpose-Under the high-speed operating conditions, the effects of wheelset elastic deformation on the wheel rail dynamic forces will become more notable compared to the low-speed condition. In order to meet different analysis requirements and selecting appropriate models to analyzing the wheel rail interaction,it is crucial to understand the influence of wheelset flexibility on the wheel-rail dynamics under different speeds and track excitations condition.Design/methodology/approach-The wheel rail contact points solving method and vehicle dynamics equations considering wheelset flexibility in the trajectory body coordinate system were investigated in this paper. As for the wheel-rail contact forces, which is a particular force element in vehicle multibody system,a method for calculating the Jacobian matrix of the wheel-rail contact force is proposed to better couple the wheel-rail contact force calculation with the vehicle dynamics response calculation.Based on the flexible wheelset modeling approach in this paper, two vehicle dynamic models considering the wheelset as both elastic and rigid bodies are established, two kinds of track excitations, namely normal measured track irregularities and short-wave irregularities are used,wheel-rail geometric contact characteristic and wheel-rail contact forces in both time and frequency domains are compared with the two models in order to study the influence of flexible wheelset rotation effect on wheel rail contact force.Findings-Under normal track irregularity excitations, the amplitudes of vertical, longitudinal and lateral forces computed by the flexible wheelset model are smaller than those of the rigid wheelset model, and the virtual penetration and equivalent contact patch are also slightly smaller. For the flexible wheelset model, the wheel rail longitudinal and lateral creepages will also decrease. The higher the vehicle speed, the larger the differences in wheel-rail forces computed by the flexible and rigid wheelset model.Under track short-wave irregularity excitations, the vertical force amplitude computed by the flexible wheelset is also smaller than that of the rigid wheelset. However, unlike the excitation case of measured track irregularity, under short-wave excitations, for the speed within the range of 200 to 350 km/h,the difference in the amplitude of the vertical force between the flexible and rigid wheelset models gradually decreases as the speed increase. This is partly due to the contribution of wheelset's elastic vibration under short-wave excitations. For low-frequency wheel-rail force analysis problems at speeds of 350 km/h and above,as well as high-frequency wheel-rail interaction analysis problems under various speed conditions, the flexible wheelset model will give results agrees better with the reality.Originality/value-This study provides reference for the modeling method of the flexible wheelset and the coupling method of wheel-rail contact force to the vehicle multibody dynamics system.Furthermore,by comparative research, the influence of wheelset flexibility and rotation on wheel-rail dynamic behavior are obtained, which is useful to the application scope of rigid and flexible wheelset models.

文摘We present optical spectra of 10 Galactic Wolf-Rayet(WR)stars that consist of five WN and five WC stars. The optical observation was conducted using a low-resolution spectrograph NEO-R1000(λ/Δλ~1000)at GAO-ITB RTS(27.94 cm,F/10.0),Bosscha Observatory,Lembang. We implemented stellar atmosphere Postdam Wolf-Rayet(PoWR)grid modeling to derive stellar parameters. The normalized optical spectrum can be used to find the best model from the available PoWR grid, then we could derive stellar temperature and transformation radius. To derive luminosity, stellar radius and color excess,we conducted a Spectral Energy Distribution(SED)analysis with additional data on the near-ultraviolet spectrum from the International Ultraviolet Explorer(IUE)database, and UBV and 2MASS JHK broadband filter data.Additional analysis to derive asymptotic terminal wind velocity was conducted from the P-Cygni profile analysis of the high-resolution IUE ultraviolet spectrum. With previously derived parameters,we could determine the mass loss rate of the WR stars.Furthermore,we compared our results with previous work that used PoWR code and the differences are not more than 20%.We conclude that the PoWR spectral grid is sufficient to derive WR stellar parameters quickly and could provide more accurate initial parameter input to the PoWR program code.

文摘Blade rubbing faults cause detrimental impact on the operation of aeroengines. The proposed model can provide valuable insight for the fault diagnosis of rubbing in bladed rotating machinery.
