Although the vast majority of meta-analyses have confirmed that exercise interventions can increase brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels in children and adolescents, the effects of specific types of exercise on brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels are still controversial. To address this issue, we used meta-analytic methods to quantitatively evaluate, analyze, and integrate relevant studies. Our goals were to formulate general conclusions regarding the use of exercise interventions, explore the physiological mechanisms by which exercise improves brain health and cognitive ability in children and adolescents, and provide a reliable foundation for follow-up research. We used the Pub Med, Web of Science, Science Direct, Springer, Wiley Online Library, Weipu, Wanfang, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure databases to search for randomized controlled trials examining the influences of exercise interventions on brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels in children and adolescents. The extracted data were analyzed using Review Manager 5.3. According to the inclusion criteria, we assessed randomized controlled trials in which the samples were mainly children and adolescents, and the outcome indicators were measured before and after the intervention. We excluded animal experiments, studies that lacked a control group, and those that did not report quantitative results. The mean difference(MD;before versus after intervention) was used to evaluate the effect of exercise on brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels in children and adolescents. Overall, 531 participants(60 children and 471 adolescents, 10.9–16.1 years) were included from 13 randomized controlled trials. Heterogeneity was evaluated using the Q statistic and I^(2) test provided by Review Manager software. The meta-analysis showed that there was no heterogeneity among the studies(P = 0.67, I^(2) = 0.00%). The combined effect of the interventions was significant(MD = 2.88, 95% CI: 1.53–4.22, P < 0.0001), indicating that the brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels of the children and adolescents in the exercise group were significantly higher than those in the control group. In conclusion, different types of exercise interventions significantly increased brain-derived neurotrophic factor levels in children and adolescents. However, because of the small sample size of this meta-analysis, more high-quality research is needed to verify our conclusions. This metaanalysis was registered at PROSPERO(registration ID: CRD42023439408).展开更多

It is associated with both maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality. The general objective of our study is to determine the prevalence and profile of pregnant women, and to assess the maternal and perinatal prognosis of adolescent childbirth in Kisangani. Methods: This was a prospective, multicenter, case-control observational study conducted over a seven-month period, from February 1 to August 31, 2024, in primiparous adolescent gestational carriers (cases) and primiparous gestational carriers aged 20 to 34 years (controls) who delivered in five health facilities in the city of Kisangani, Democratic Republic of Congo. Results: The prevalence of teenage childbirth was 13.8%. Adolescents were more likely than controls to be in secondary education and to be unemployed. Compared with controls, pregnant adolescents were more likely to have poor ANC attendance. There was a statistical difference between the two groups in relation to pelvic anomaly, rupture of membranes on admission, hypertensive disorders, vicious presentation, caesarean section, episiotomy, postpartum anaemia and puerperal psychosis. In fact, these morbidities were more common in adolescent girls than in controls. Compared with controls, neonatal depression, prematurity, low birth weight and perinatal death were more prevalent in the newborns of teenage mothers. Conclusion: The prevalence of teenage childbirth is high in Kisangani;there is an association between unmarried status, lack of employment, low socio-economic status, poor ANC follow-up and teenage childbirth in Kisangani. The latter is also associated with high maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality.展开更多

The current study aimed to analyze the effect of independent and cumulative effects of ACEs exposure on the likelihood of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and a Complex PTSD (CPSTD) diagnosis in Indian adolescents. Methods: A sample of 411 schoolchildren participated in the study. It was collected data on exposure to ACEs, PTSD, CPTSD, and attachment styles. Results: It was found that exposure to bullying and threats of violence was significantly associated with PTSD and CPTSD diagnosis, and exposure to physical violence and serious illness was associated with CPTSD diagnosis. Exposure to one ACE and exposure to 2 - 3 ACEs were associated with PTSD and CPTSD diagnosis, while exposure to 4 - 5 ACEs was associated with CPTSD diagnosis. Preoccupied and fearful attachment styles were significantly associated with PTSD and CPTSD diagnosis. Conclusion: The results of the study suggest that biological, psychological, and social factors interact and contribute to the differential prevalence of ACE, attachment styles, and PTSD/CPTSD. This study emphasizes the need of addressing childhood trauma as a public health priority in India.展开更多

Adversity quotient is the adaptation ability to overcome problems and obstacles with a positive attitude. Early adolescence, as a critical stage of life, needs to cultivate adversity quotient. However, adversity quotient and its influencing factors in adolescents have not been fully understood. Methods: A total of 129 students from 3 junior high schools (grade 7-9) in Chon Buri province, Thailand, were randomly recruited to participate in this correlational research study. They completed 5 questionnaires including the demographic form, adversity quotient assessment, authoritative parenting style, optimism, and rumination. Descriptive statistics and Pearson’s correlation coefficient were used for data analysis. Results: Adversity quotient was at a moderate level with a mean of 138.78 (standard deviation [SD] = 21.25). Adversity quotient was significantly, positively correlated with authoritative parenting at the highest level (r = 0.60), followed by optimism at a moderate level (r = 0.38), and rumination at a low level (r = 0.25, P < 0.01). Conclusions: All parties responsible for early adolescents’ development should enhance the adversity quotient to a higher level through campaigns promoting authoritative parenting and optimism. An unexpected positive correlation between adversity quotient and rumination warrants cautious interpretation and more studies.展开更多

Unhealthy eating habits and lack of proper nutrition knowledge cause non-communicable diseases and affect adolescents. It is in adolescence that eating habits are formed that persist till adulthood. Lifestyle interventions are needed to curb NCDs in adolescents. This paper reports the findings of a study that aimed to validate a lifestyle intervention program and its effect on food intake, physical activity, and nutrition knowledge. It was a clustered randomized control trial study conducted in four (4) junior secondary schools. There were 46 participants, 21 in the control and 25 in the intervention arm, who were blindly assigned to each arm by a statistician. Information and skills on nutrition were imparted using the Information, Motivation, and Behavioral Skills model. The program was implemented for eight (8) weeks hourly after school. A questionnaire was used to collect data pre- and post-intervention. Number, proportion, percentage, and independent t-test (mean and SD or median and IQR, p-value) were calculated using numerical and categorical data. The findings showed that the lifestyle intervention was valid, and there was a slight decrease in the intake of sweets among participants in both trial arms (p = 0.066). There was no significant difference in terms of food intake. Only a small number of participants still ate a few fruits, and there was no change in vegetable intake in both trial arms (p = 0.641). There was no change in the intake of fried foods in both trail arms (p = 0.402). Regarding nutrition knowledge, there was a slight significant difference of p = 0.079 between the trial arms. Though the effect of the lifestyle intervention program was not statistically significant, the results are promising, especially if the duration could be increased to a longer period and a larger sample size included.展开更多

Methods: The subjects were female university students living in the Kinki area. A longitudinal survey was conducted on 67 members in the intervention group, who received the health education, and 52 members in the control group, who did not receive the health education. The primary outcome measures were knowledge of PCC and the subscales of the Health Promotion Lifestyle Profile. Surveys were conducted before, after, and six months after the intervention in the intervention group, and an initial survey and survey six months later were conducted in the control group. Cochran’s Q test, Bonferroni’s multiple comparison test, and McNemar’s test were used to analyze the knowledge of PCC data. The Health Awareness, Nutrition, and Stress Management subscales of the Health Promotion Lifestyle Profile were analyzed by paired t-test, and comparisons between the intervention and control groups were performed using the two-way repeated measures analysis of variance. Results: In the intervention group of 67 people, the number of subjects who answered “correct” for five of the nine items concerning knowledge of PCC increased immediately after the health education (P = 0.006) but decreased for five items from immediately after the health education to six months later (P = 0.043). In addition, the number of respondents who answered “correct” for “low birth weight infants and future lifestyle-related diseases” (P = 0.016) increased after six months compared with before the health education. For the 52 subjects in the control group, there was no change in the number of subjects who answered “correct” for eight out of the nine items after six months. There was also no increase in scores for the Health Promotion Lifestyle Profile after six months for either the intervention or control group. Conclusion: Providing health education about PCC using videos and leaflets to adolescent females was shown to enhance the knowledge of PCC immediately after the education.展开更多

In Japan, sleep-related issues are a significant contributor to prolonged student absenteeism, underscoring the urgent need to address these challenges within school health programs. This review explores the historical evolution of Japan’s perspectives on sleep, shedding light on misconceptions rooted in Neo-Confucianism (Shushigaku), such as the notion of “sacrificing sleep for achievement”. While the 2018 Work Style Reform Act has introduced measures to ensure workplace rest, similar initiatives for students remain absent, perpetuating a culture of sleep deprivation. Misunderstandings surrounding adolescent sleep patterns, chronotypes, and sleep-related health factors are addressed. The review concludes by proposing seven core principles for advancing sleep health literacy: 1) Exposure to morning light;2) Engagement in daytime physical activity;3) Resting in darkness at night;4) Consuming breakfast and avoiding late-night meals;5) Maintaining regular elimination;6) Minimizing stimulants and excessive media use;7) Respecting pre-sleep rituals. Enhancing sleep health literacy, particularly within educational settings, is vital for tackling adolescent sleep challenges and fostering long-term well-being. School health professionals must take the lead in driving this transformative initiative.展开更多

Network analysis and network comparison tests were utilized toconstruct and compare the depression-anxiety symptoms networks among sex and age subgroups.RESULTSThe results revealed GAD3 “Excessive worry” and PHQ2 “Sad mood” were the most significant central symptomsin all subgroups, while “Sad mood” had higher strength than “Excessive worry” in the lower age group. In thenetwork comparisons, the female network exhibited tighter connectivity, especially on GAD6 “Irritability” andGAD2 “Uncontrollable worry”, while only PHQ3 “Sleep” and PHQ9 “Suicidal ideation” had differences at thelocal level in the lower age group.CONCLUSIONSeveral interventions targeting excessive worry and sad mood could reduce the risk of depression and anxietysymptoms in the AIS population. Furthermore, specific anxiety symptoms in females, along with sleep disturbancesand suicidal ideation in the lower age group, should be addressed at an early stage to prevent significantdisruptions in mental health trajectories.展开更多

文摘Brain-derived neurotrophic factor is a crucial neurotrophic factor that plays a significant role in brain health. 文摘Our previous studies have reported that activation of the NLRP3(NOD-,LRR-and pyrin domain-containing protein 3)-inflammasome complex in ethanol-treated astrocytes and chronic alcohol-fed mice could be associated with neuroinflammation and brain damage.Mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles(MSC-EVs)have been shown to restore the neuroinflammatory response, along with myelin and synaptic structural alterations in the prefrontal cortex, and alleviate cognitive and memory dysfunctions induced by binge-like ethanol treatment in adolescent mice.Considering the therapeutic role of the molecules contained in mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles, the present study analyzed whether the administration of mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles isolated from adipose tissue, which inhibited the activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome, was capable of reducing hippocampal neuroinflammation in adolescent mice treated with binge drinking. We demonstrated that the administration of mesenchymal stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles ameliorated the activation of the hippocampal NLRP3 inflammasome complex and other NLRs inflammasomes(e.g.,pyrin domain-containing 1,caspase recruitment domain-containing 4,and absent in melanoma 2,as well as the alterations in inflammatory genes(interleukin-1β,interleukin-18,inducible nitric oxide synthase, nuclear factor-kappa B,monocyte chemoattractant protein-1,and C–X3–C motif chemokine ligand 1)and miRNAs(miR-21a-5p,miR-146a-5p,and miR-141-5p)induced by binge-like ethanol treatment in adolescent mice.Bioinformatic analysis further revealed the involvement of miR-21a-5p and miR-146a-5p with inflammatory target genes and NOD-like receptor signaling pathways.Taken together, these findings provide novel evidence of the therapeutic potential of MSC-derived EVs to ameliorate the hippocampal neuroinflammatory response associated with NLRP3 inflammasome activation induced by binge drinking in adolescence.

文摘BACKGROUND Epidemiological surveys indicate an increasing incidence of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)among children and adolescents worldwide.Due to rapid disease progression, severe long-term cardiorenal complications,a lack of effective treatment strategies, and substantial socioeconomic burdens,it has become an urgent public health issue that requires management and resolution.Adolescent T2DM differs from adult T2DM.Despite a significant increase in our understanding of youth-onset T2DM over the past two decades, the related review and evidence-based content remain limited.AIM To visualize the hotspots and trends in pediatric and adolescent T2DM research and to forecast their future research themes.METHODS This study utilized the terms“children”,“adolescents”,and“type 2 diabetes”,retrieving relevant articles published between 1983 and 2023 from three citation databases within the Web of Science Core Collection(SCI,SSCI,ESCI).Utilizing CiteSpace and VoSviewer software,we analyze and visually represent the annual output of literature, countries involved, and participating institutions. This allows us to predict trends in this research field. Our analysis encompasses co-cited authors, journal overlays, citation overlays,time-zone views, keyword analysis, and reference analysis, etc.RESULTS A total of 9210 articles were included, and the annual publication volume in this field showed a steady growth trend. The United States had the highest number of publications and the highest H-index.The United States also had the most research institutions and the strongest research capacity. The global hot journals were primarily diabetes professional journals but also included journals related to nutrition, endocrinology, and metabolism.Keyword analysis showed that research related to endothelial dysfunction, exposure risk, cardiac metabolic risk, changes in gut microbiota, the impact on comorbidities and outcomes, etc.,were emerging keywords. They have maintained their popularity in this field, suggesting that these areas have garnered significant research interest in recent years.CONCLUSION Pediatric and adolescent T2DM is increasingly drawing global attention, with genes, behaviors, environmental factors, and multisystemic interventions potentially emerging as future research hot spots.
文摘Antidepressants are the main drugs used to treat depression, but they have not been shown to be effective in the treatment of child and adolescent depression. However, many adolescent depression treatment guidelines still recommend the use of antidepressants, especially specific serotonin re-uptake inhibitors.Previous studies have suggested that antidepressants have little therapeutic effect but many side effects, such as switching to mania, suicide, and non-suicidal self injury(NSSI),in the treatment of child and adolescent depression. In the process of developing guidelines, drug recommendations should not only focus on impro-ving symptoms, but they should also consider potential side effects. This review discusses the serious side effects of antidepressants, including switching to mania, suicide, and NSSI.

文摘BACKGROUND Depression is a significant psychiatric disorder with particularly high prevalence among adolescents. This mental health condition can have severe consequences, including academic failure, social withdrawal, and suicidal behavior.Given the increasing rate of depression in this age group, understanding the underlying biological mechanisms is essential for early detection and intervention.Recent studies have suggested that immune markers play a role in the pathophysiology of depression, prompting further investigation of their potential association with depressive symptoms in adolescents.AIM To investigate the relationship between immune markers(monocytes, lymphocytes, and direct bilirubin)and the incidence and severity of depression among adolescents.METHODS This cross-sectional study recruited 145 adolescent patients with depression[male(M)/female(F)=38/107]from Jiangbin Hospital in Guangxi,Zhuang and 163 healthy controls(M/F=77/86)from routine health check-ups.Blood samples were collected after an overnight fast.Depression severity was measured using the Zung Self-Rating Depression Scale. The inclusion criteria were age 12-24 years, diagnosis of depressive disorder(ICD-10),and no recent antidepressant use.The exclusion criteria included psychiatric comorbidities and serious somatic diseases.Key statistical methods included group comparisons and correlation analyses.RESULTS There was a higher prevalence of females in the depression group(P<0.001).Significant age differences were observed between the groups(Z=9.43,P<0.001).The depression group had higher monocyte(Z=3.43,P<0.001)and lymphocyte(t=2.29,P<0.05)counts,and higher serum direct bilirubin levels(Z=4.72,P<0.001).Monocyte count varied significantly according to depression severity, with lower counts in the mild group(Z=-2.90,P<0.05).A negative correlation between age and lymphocyte counts was observed(ρ=-0.22,P<0.01).Logistic regression analysis showed that serum direct bilirubin levels significantly predicted depression.CONCLUSION The potential role of elevated levels of immune markers in the early detection of depression in adolescents has been highlighted. Therefore,it is necessary to explore further the relationships between these immune markers and depression.
文摘Introduction: Adolescent childbirth is a public health and social problem worldwide. The latter is also associated with high maternal and perinatal morbidity and mortality.
文摘BACKGROUND Solid pseudopapillary neoplasm(SPN)of the pancreas is a rare epithelial tumor that primarily affects young women.Since the condition is often asymptomatic or presents with non-specific symptoms, its diagnosis can be difficult.CASE SUMMARY This report details the case of a 15-year-old girl who presented with a 2-year history of abdominal pain, with no significant findings during physical examination.Abdominal ultrasound revealed a well-defined heterogeneous solidcystic mass in the epigastric region, likely originating from the tail of the pancreas.A subsequent contrast-enhanced computed tomography scan indicated a welldefined cystic lesion with an enhancing solid component and capsule in the tail of the pancreas, suggestive of a cystic neoplasm. The patient underwent an open distal pancreatectomy with splenectomy, and histopathological analysis confirmed the diagnosis of SPN of the pancreas.CONCLUSION This case highlights the risk of SPN in adolescent girls and the necessity of early diagnosis and intervention for better outcomes.

文摘Non-suicidal self-injury(NSSI)is a prevalent and concerning issue in adolescent mental health, often intertwined with depressive symptoms.Despite extensive research on NSSI,a comprehensive understanding of its multifaceted nature and the intricate interplay of risk and resilience factors remains crucial. This Letter to the Editor examines a novel study by Yang et al,which utilized latent profile analysis and network analysis to delineate distinct NSSI subtypes within a Chinese adolescent population and investigate the underlying dynamics of associated factors. The study identifies three distinct NSSI subtypes:NSSI with depression,NSSI without depression, and neither, underscoring bullying as a prominent risk factor.Concurrently, the findings emphasized the pivotal role of emotional regulation and family support as protective factors. The focus of this article is to contextualize these findings within the broader framework of adolescent mental health and to highlight their implications for developing targeted interventions. These insights not only advance our understanding of adolescent NSSI but also provide a foundation for the development of targeted interventions that address the identified risk and protective factors.By focusing on these critical areas, mental health professionals can implement more effective strategies to mitigate NSSI behaviors and cultivate resilience in this vulnerable population.
文摘Background: Exposure to adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) is associated with a higher likelihood of developing psychological disorders among adolescents. This study emphasizes the need of addressing childhood trauma as a public health priority in India.

文摘Objectives: To determine the level of adversity quotient and its associations with rumination, optimism, and authoritative parenting style in junior high school students. An unexpected positive correlation between adversity quotient and rumination warrants cautious interpretation and more studies.

文摘Objectives:To explore the approaches for reducing non-suicidal self-injury(NSSI)behaviors in Chinese adolescents, the present study investigated the association between parent-child conflict and NSSI in adolescents, while also examining the mediating role of depression and the moderating role of rumination thinking. Methods:A cluster sampling method was employed to select 1227 Chinese adolescents aged 12 to 18 as participants, who completed measures including the Parent-Child conflict,Depression,Rumination Thinking, and Non-Suicidal Self-Injury questionnaires. The present study used SPSS 26.0 to conduct the Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and reliability tests, and PROCESS 3.3 to test the hypothesis model.Results:(1)There is a positive correlation between parent-child conflict and NSSI in adolescents;(2)Depression mediates the relationship between parent-child conflict and NSSI in adolescents;(3)Rumination thinking acts as a moderator in the association between parent-child conflict and depression. This study finds the indirect effect of depression on NSSI behaviors among Chinese adolescents.Furthermore, the study also finds protective factors by examining the role of reducing individual rumination thinking in mitigating negative emotions following adverse experiences. In conclusion, this research provides a pathway and foundation for enhancing interventions targeting NSSI behaviors among Chinese adolescents. Conclusion:The relationship between parent-child conflict and NSSI in adolescents is positively correlated.Depression acts as a mediator in the association between parent-child conflict and NSSI in adolescents. The effect of parent-child conflict on NSSI is positively moderated by rumination thinking.Specifically,low-level rumination thinking may mitigate the negative impact of parent-child conflict on depression.
文摘Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are on the rise worldwide and in developing countries like Botswana. Though the effect of the lifestyle intervention program was not statistically significant, the results are promising, especially if the duration could be increased to a longer period and a larger sample size included.
文摘This study is to explore the dual effects of rural education in promoting the physical and mental health of adolescents and developing agricultural labor force in the Philippines.By analyzing the data of the Philippine Bureau of Statistics(PSA),the report of the Ministry of Education and the survey of the Asian Development Bank(ADB)from 2015 to 2022,and combining with 12 core documents, this paper summarized the data of the Ministry of Education. It reveals that rural education has significantly improved the health literacy of adolescents through curriculum and community interaction(education coverage increased from 48%in 2015 to 67%in 2021),while providing an average annual labor reserve of 15%for agricultural production. In spite of this, geographical isolation(30%of rural schools need to walk more than hour)and uneven distribution of resources(education expenditure per student in urban areas is 2.3 times that in rural areas)are still main constraints for the education effectiveness. Finally, this study proposes implementing the policy framework of"integration of agricultural education",integrating mental health services and vocational skills training, and establishing a cross-sectoral collaboration mechanism.
文摘Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate health education using videos and leaflets for preconception care (PCC) awareness among adolescent females up to six months after the health education. Conclusion: Providing health education about PCC using videos and leaflets to adolescent females was shown to enhance the knowledge of PCC immediately after the education.
文摘Sleep health literacy encompasses the knowledge, motivation, and skills required to promote healthy sleep and recognize sleep disorders. School health professionals must take the lead in driving this transformative initiative.
文摘Introduction: Reducing and maintaining viral load is crucial to reducing morbidity and mortality associated with HIV infection in children. The aim of this study was to determine the factors influencing the maintenance of children and adolescents on antiretroviral therapy in the continuum of care. Methodology: This was a descriptive and analytical cross-sectional study conducted from August 1 to August 31, 2023. It included all children living with HIV, under 15 years of age, with at least two viral load results and whose parents consented to participate in the study. Participants were recruited during their child’s treatment renewal consultations. Results: The study included 143 children, mostly boys (55.2%), with a mean age of 11.54 years (±2.8). More than half (55.2) were unaware of their HIV-positive status, and most treatments were administered by parents (60.8%). Of the 99 children with an undetectable viral load at the first test, 23 (23.2%) showed a viral rebound at the last test, mainly due to poor treatment compliance (p Conclusion: Virological rebound after suppression in children is worrying. It is crucial that the national AIDS program improves Therapeutic Education, trains health workers to communicate results and encourages ongoing dialogue with young people to reinforce adherence and maintain viral suppression.

文摘BACKGROUND Depression and anxiety are prevalent psychological challenges among patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis(AIS),affecting individuals across both sex and age groups.AIM To explore the network structure of depression and anxiety symptoms, with a focus on identifying differences at the symptom level between sex and age subgroups.METHODS A total of 1955 participants diagnosed with AIS aged 10-18 years were assessed using the Patient Health Questionnaire Depression Scale(PHO-9)and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale(GAD-7),and 765 patients exhibiting PHQ-9 or GAD-7 scores ≥ 5 were enrolled in our study. Furthermore, specific anxiety symptoms in females, along with sleep disturbancesand suicidal ideation in the lower age group, should be addressed at an early stage to prevent significantdisruptions in mental health trajectories.
文摘Objective:This study aimed to examine the developmental trajectories of internalizing behaviors among adolescents and to identify key personal and environmental factors associated with these developmental patterns over time. Methods:Data were collected from 2242 adolescents(49.6%girls,aged 13.9–18.9 years)in South Korea.Latent class growth analysis was used to identify distinct developmental patterns of internalizing behaviors.Multinomial logistic regression analyses were conducted to examine the associations between these developmental patterns and various factors including gender,self-esteem,abuse and neglect experiences, peer relationships, and media use. Results:The analysis revealed three latent classes of internalizing behavior trajectories among adolescents. The first group, the“mid decreasing group”,comprised 54.5%of the sample(1221 students),indicating a moderate level of internalizing behavior that declined over time. The second group, the“high decreasing group”,included 19.1%of the sample(429 students),characterized by initially high levels of internalizing behavior that decreased. The third group, the“low maintained group”,represented 26.4%of the sample(592 students),indicating consistently low levels of internalizing behavior.Factors such as gender,self-esteem,experiences of abuse and neglect, peer relationships(trust and alienation),smartphone dependency, and time spent watching TV/videos were significantly associated with these latent groups. Conclusion:Three distinct developmental patterns of internalizing behaviors were identified among adolescents:mid-decreasing(54.5%),high-decreasing(19.1%),and low-maintained(26.4%).Gender,self-esteem,abuse experiences, and peer relationships were significant predictors of these developmental patterns.
