This paper takes the Chinese-themed packaging of Modern China Tea Shop as the research object,analyzes the brand positioning and the embodiment of traditional Chinese cultural elements in its brand packaging design,and mainly analyzes the characteristics of traditional Chinese culture and symbols such as painting,text,and color in the packaging design.This paper explores the creative design and application of packaging with traditional Chinese elements in its brand touch points through the analysis method in culture code brand design and points out that the packaging design of Modern China Tea Shop is close to consumer psychology,and the Era Z has gradually become the main force of Chinese consumption.The brand accurately grasps the consumer psychology in the era of Gen-Z so as to formulate corresponding marketing strategies.Combined with the analysis of brand trends and consumers,it is clear that the packaging design of Chinese style is not a simple superposition of traditional elements and modern elements,but the integration and innovation of various cultural elements based on the current market and consumers.Furthermore,the paper summarizes the ways of traditional Chinese elements to create commercial value and provides a feasible reference for the brand positioning and packaging design of other tea products in China. 展开更多

A Study of"Chinese Cultural Aphasia" in Senior High School English Teaching

Based on collecting and analyzing the former studies, through the questionnaire, test paper and interview, this paper makes an investigation about Chinese Cultural Aphasia, which aims at finding out whether it exists or not and the reasons that are responsible for the phenomenon. The result shows: (1) "Chinese Cultural Aphasia" phenomenon does exist in Senior High English teaching, and students' ability of expressing Chinese culture in English is worse than expected. (2) The reasons that are responsible for the phenomenon are in the following: Both students and teachers lack Chinese cultural consciousness, including that teachers' teaching idea is not correct and teaching method is single. What's more, in textbooks the proportion of Chinese culture content is too little. Accordingly, some proposals are put forward to solve the problem: (1) Students should pay attention to English expressions of Chinese culture. (2) Teachers should develop double culture ability, change attitude to English teaching, change the teaching method, use the textbooks neatly, increase the check of expressions related to Chinese culture. Under the text of Xi’s call for“Chinese culture to go abroad”and the international craze for Mandarin,the article aims to reveal the relationship between college English textbooks and Chinese cultural aphasia,based on an analysis of a survey of a university in southern China.The specific research questions are:What is the attitude of English majors toward integrating English textbooks into Chinese culture?Do English majors have“Chinese cultural aphasia”?To what extent?Is there an imbalance between Chinese and western culture in College English textbooks?Through a test,questionnaire,and textbook analysis,a survey on Chinese cultural aphasia in university English textbooks among English majors was conducted.The research results show that English textbooks have a serious lack of Chinese culture;English majors have severe Chinese cultural aphasia;English majors have a positive attitude towards integrating Chinese culture into English textbooks,and they are willing to learn the English expressions of Chinese culture.The author believes that the study has the following practical significance:First,the statistics in the study offer a thought for textbook editors;second,the study can stimulate English teachers to cultivate students’cross-cultural communication skills;and third,research may inspire students to learn more about Chinese culture and enrich their knowledge. 展开更多

As a developing Non-profit Organization (NPO) system for the learning and diffusion of Chinese language and culture around the globe, the Confucius Institute network is becoming more and more important for China's presence and influence in a diversified arena of world cultures. While this network is being enlarged and improved with the Chinese govemment's persistent backing, it is, however, recognized that the influence and efficiency of the institutes are still limited. It might not be essential whether people come primarily as serious language learners, but necessarily, the platform has to be attractive enough for a considerable proportion of users to stick on, making the Confucius Institute System a sustainable cultural service provider. Within the background of information society, the Intemet, mobile service, digital broadcasting, and other types of new media would act as an important effort to help Confucius Institutes to improve the capabilities of interacting with users, offering users with abundant media-rich content, and minimizing users' inconvenience by enhancing users' experience, lowering travel and time cost, and easily providing multi-lingual support. In this paper, we take the platform of Confucius Institute Online (http://www.chinese.cn, the official Intemet portal of the Confucius Institute network) as a case of actuality to analyze how the Confucius Institute system could utilize the communication capability of new media to enrich, enlarge, and enhance the diffusion of Chinese culture and language. The phenomenon of aphasia in Chinese culture is serious.The existing English teaching materials emphasize too much Western culture education and lack traditional Chinese cultural elements.Therefore,this paper takes the Guangdong Maritime Silk Road as an example to study the specific application of traditional Chinese culture in cross-cultural English education.This paper first summarizes the significance of cross-cultural integration into college English education and then points out the serious phenomenon of Chinese cultural aphasia.Next,the paper focuses on English education,using English textbooks as a starting point to explore and integrate strategies related to excellent traditional Chinese culture from the Guangdong Maritime Silk Road.By integrating traditional Chinese culture into business English classes(with the Guangdong Maritime Silk Road as an example),the study explores the influence of such cultural integration on students’cross-cultural communication skills,cultural identity,and learning effects.The results showed that the P value of the experimental group and the control group was<0.05,that is,cultural integration had a positive effect on improving the effect of cross-cultural English education.The overall scores and cultural confidence of the experimental group are higher than those of the control group,which proves that cross-cultural teaching has a positive effect on the improvement of students’scores. 展开更多
