AIM: To analyze the incidence and risk factors for retinopathy of prematurity (ROP). METHODS: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 568 premature infants from September 2005 to December 2010 with birth weight (BW) equal to or less than 2 500g or a gestational age (GA) at birth of 34 weeks or less. All of the members were examined by indirect binocular ophthalmoscopy. RESULTS: ROP occurred with an incidence rate of 10.7% among 568 premature infants, and stages 3 and above ROP occurred with an incidence rate of 2.5%. This study showed the infants were more prone to develop ROP with short geststional age, low BW, long time of oxygen inhalation, and severe infants diseases. Twins had a significantly higher rate of ROP (18.3%) than singleton babies (9.8%), ROP were severer in twins than singleton babies. CONCLUSION: Short GA, low BW, long time of oxygen inhalation, severe infants diseases, and non-singleton babies were the most significant risk factors associated with ROP.展开更多

This case was special since all ante-mortem examinations and cardiac surgery failed to detect the presence of any abnormal car-diac mass. BACKGROUND Cancer is a growing threat to human health.Due to the double torment of cancer and cancer treatment,patients with advanced cancer generally have a low quality of life.At present,there is a lack of systemati...BACKGROUND Cancer is a growing threat to human health.Due to the double torment of cancer and cancer treatment,patients with advanced cancer generally have a low quality of life.At present,there is a lack of systematic spiritual care plans for patients with advanced cancer as well as systematic guidance plans on the specific clinical application of spiritual care for advanced cancer patients.We hypothesized that our care plan would be effective in improving the spiritual and mental health and quality of life of patients with advanced cancer.AIM To construct a spiritual care plan suitable for Chinese patients with advanced cancer through literature analysis.METHODS From February to December 2018,through purpose sampling,we selected 100 advanced cancer patients from the Oncology Department and Hospice Ward of a tertiary hospital in Liaoning Province who met the study standards.Patients were randomly divided into experimental and control groups,with 50 cases in each group.The control group received the current routine care,while the experimental group received the advanced cancer spiritual care intervention in addition to routine care.RESULTS After the intervention,the overall spiritual health score for the experimental group was higher than that of the control group(4.68±1.36 vs 3.63±1.71).The difference between the groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The proportion of anxiety-free patients in the experimental group was 95.45%,which was significantly higher than the 60.98%in the control group.Moreover,the proportion of non-depressed patients in the experimental group was 97.73%,which was significantly higher than the 85.37%in the control group(P<0.05).The overall quality of life score for the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group(5.36±1.16 vs 4.39±1.36,P<0.05).CONCLUSION Our spiritual care plan for patients with advanced cancer could improve their spiritual health and quality of life and reduce negative mental health symptoms.展开更多

The system is mainly composed of double layer Ether CAT, optical fiber interlock net, ground monitoring station, underground control stations and integrated protection devices with Ether CAT communication interface and interlock interface. Control group was treated by DCF chemotherapy, while the observation group by Shenqi Fuzheng Injection based on the DCF chemotherapy. The levels of peripheral blood cells, tumor markers and immune function indexes in both groups were detected and compared before and after treatment.Results: There were no significant differences in serum RBC, WBC, PLT, Hb, NSE, CYFRA21-1, CA199, CEA, CD3+, CD4+, CD8+ and CD4+/CD8+ levels before treatment in both groups. Compared with the pretreatment group, the levels of RBC, WBC, PLT and Hb in both groups decreased to some extent after treatment, and the levels in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group;Compared with the same group before treatment, the levels of NSE, CYFRA21-1, CA199 and CEA in the two groups were significantly decreased, and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group;CD3+, CD4+, CD4+/CD8+ levels in control group and observation group increased to some extent after treatment, and the levels in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group. The levels of CD8+ in both groups after treatment were significantly lower than those before treatment, and the observation group was significantly lower than the control group after treatment. The above data for statistical analysis had significant differences.Conclusions: Shenqi Fuzheng injection combined with chemotherapy helps to clear and kill cancer cells, enhance immunity and reduce hematological toxicity after chemotherapy, which can be used as an adjuvant chemotherapy for gastric cancer.展开更多
Objective: To develop a scientific and reasonable competency evaluation index system for operating room nurses (ORN) in order to provide a tool for selecting, training and evaluating operating room nurses in China....Objective: To develop a scientific and reasonable competency evaluation index system for operating room nurses (ORN) in order to provide a tool for selecting, training and evaluating operating room nurses in China. Methods: A multiple-method approach including in-depth interviews and the Delphi and Analytic Hi- erarchy Process (AHP) was used. Eighteen interviews were undertaken to explore the components of ORN competencies, and then 30 operating room experts were consulted to gain consensus. Finally, the AHP was adopted to determine the relative weights of competency elements, thus increasing the ac- curacy of the results. Results: Results of the interviews suggested that there were 32 items of ORN core competency. Results of the DHP (Delphi and AHP) revealed 22 ORN core competencies in four dimensions, such as specialized knowledge, professional ability, personality and self-motivation. The weights of these four dimensions were 0.477, 0.138, 0.256, and 0.128, respectively. Condu.~ions: The construction of an ORN core competency evaluation index system in this study con- tained not only explicit competence but also implicit competence, which reflected the requirements for operating room nurses comprehensively in China. The p-type TiCoSb-based half-Heuslers are widely studied due to the good electrical transport properties after hole doping,while the pristine TiCoSb is intrinsically n-type.It is thus desired to obtain a comparable n-...The p-type TiCoSb-based half-Heuslers are widely studied due to the good electrical transport properties after hole doping,while the pristine TiCoSb is intrinsically n-type.It is thus desired to obtain a comparable n-type counterpart through optimization of electron concentration.In this work,n-type Ti_(0.9-x)HfxTa_(0.1)CoSb half-Heuslers were fabricated by arc melting,ball milling,and spark plasma sintering.An optimized carrier concentration,together with a decreased lattice thermal conductivity,was obtained by Ta doping at the Ti site,leading to a peak figure of merit(ZT)of 0.7 at 973 K in Ti_(0.9)Ta_(0.1)-CoSb.By further alloying Hf at the Ti site,the lattice thermal conductivity was significantly reduced without deteriorating the power factor.As a result,a peak ZT of 0.9 at 973 K and an average ZT of 0.54 in the temperature range of 300-973 K were achieved in Ti_(0.6)Hf_(0.3)Ti_(0.1)CoSb.This work demonstrates that n-type TiCoSb-based halfHeuslers are promising thermoelectric materials.展开更多
For full use of Skipjack tuna(Katsuwonus pelamis)canning by-products,gelatins(STG)were extracted from tuna skins using acid(STG-A),enzyme(STG-E)and hot water(STG-H)methods with yields of 65.30±1.56%,39.83±1....For full use of Skipjack tuna(Katsuwonus pelamis)canning by-products,gelatins(STG)were extracted from tuna skins using acid(STG-A),enzyme(STG-E)and hot water(STG-H)methods with yields of 65.30±1.56%,39.83±1.61%,and 50.97±1.44%,respectively.Due to the high imino acid contents(228,216,and 213 residues/1000 residues for STG-A,STG-E,and STG-H,respectively),STG-A showed the highest transparency and gel strength properties.Amino acid analysis,sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis(SDS-PAGE),ultraviolet(UV)and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)analysis confirmed that STG-A,STG-E,and STG-H kept the main structure of type I collagen,but enzyme and hot water extraction methods showed much stronger hydrolysis ability onαandβchains.Moreover,neutrase hydrolysate(STG-AH)of STG-A showed the highest 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical(DPPH•)scavenging activity and the fraction STG-AH-І(<3.5 kDa)from STG-AH prepared by ultrafiltration could significantly protect human skin fibroblasts(HSFBs)against ultraviolet-A(UVA)injury.Furthermore,nineteen peptides with high antioxidant activity were purified from STG-AH-Іand identified.These results suggested that STG-AH and its derived antioxidant peptides could serve as potential ingredients applied in health benefiting products for preventing UVA injury.展开更多

The powders(20.0 g) of A. asphodeloides were extracted under the optimized conditions. The extract was applied to a D-101 macroporous resin column. It was eluted with ethanol and water to give six fractions. Compounds from the active fraction were identified by UPLC-Q-TOF-MS. The structure-activity relationship was discussed based on grey relational analysis.Results: The optimum extraction conditions were as follows: ethanol concentration, 100%; extraction temperature, 51 ℃; and solvent to solid ratio, 23 mL/g. It indicated that the active compounds were concentrated into 80% ethanol fraction. Twenty five steroid saponins from 80%ethanol fraction were identified by UPLC-Q-TOF-MS. Peaks 19 and 23 were tentatively identified as new structures. The predicted α-glucosidase inhibitory activities of the compounds were 7 > 2 > 1 > 22 > 23 > 3 > 9 > 21 > 24 > 4 > 13 > 8 > 14 > 16 > 17 > 25 > 6 > 19.Conclusion: The fraction eluted by 80% ethanol showed the best inhibitory activity. In this article, an anthraquinone-based copper(I)cyclic trinuclear complex(1) was designed and it featured strong visible light absorption, high charge separation efficiency and photochemical properties. Complex 1 as a heterogeneous photocatalyst can efficiently catalyze homo-coupling of terminal alkynes and denitrification-oxidative coupling reaction between hydrazinopyridine and terminal alkynes with excellent yield(up to 99%), broad substrate tolerance(27 examples) and superior reusability(up to 10 cycles without loss of performance) under mild conditions.展开更多
