These samples were characterized by N2 adsorption–desorption, X-ray di raction(XRD), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), temperature programmed reduction by H2(H2-TPR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). Among them, the OMS-2-0.7 sample showed the best O3 conversion of 92% under high relative humidity(RH) of 90% and gas hourly space velocity of 585,000 h-1. This was accordingly thought as a possible way for purifying ozone-containing waste gases under high RH atmospheres. The e ciency of ozone decomposition of the prepared OMS-2-X sample was found to be related to specific surface area, particle size, surface oxygen vacancies, and Mn3+ cation amounts. The one-step hydrothermal synthesis was shown to be a simple method to prepare the considerably active OMS-2 solids for ozone decomposition.展开更多

The HTC process allowed the deposition of thin nitrogen-doped carbon layers on the surface of the CNTs. By controlling the ratio of glucose to urea, nitrogen contents of up to 1.7 wt%were achieved. The nitrogen-doped carbon nanotube-supported Pd catalysts exhibited superior electrochemical activity for ethanol oxidation relative to the pristine CNTs.Importantly, a 1.5-fold increase in the specific activity was observed for the Pd/HTC-N1.67%CNTs relative to the catalyst without nitrogen doping(Pd/HTC-CNTs). Furtherexperiments indicated that the introduction of nitrogen species on the surface of the CNTs improved the Pd(0)loading and increased the binding energy.展开更多

Samples of LaCol-xPtxO3/SiO2 (x = 0.03, 0.05, 0.07, 0.09, and 0.10) were prepared through a simple method of citrate acid complexa-tion combined with impregnation. In a nanocrystallite of LaCOl-xPtxO3, ions of lanthanum, cobalt, and platinum are evenly mixed at the atomic level and confined within the nanocrystallite. In the reduction process, platinum ions were reduced and migrated onto the surface of the nanocrystallite, and the platinum should be highly dispersed owing to the even mixing of the platinum ions in the precursor. When x = 0.05 or lower, the highest dispersion of Pt could be achieved. The highly dispersed Pt is stable, because of the strong interaction between Pt atoms and the support. The catalysts were characterized by BET surface area, temperature-programmed reduction, X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, CO temperature-programmed desorption, and turnover frequency. Compared with general precious metal Pt catalysts, the LaCo0.95Pt0.05O3/ SiO2 catalyst exhibited better activity for CO oxidation, and it maintained stability at a high temperature of 400 ℃ for 250 h with complete CO conversion.展开更多
