Objective:Generic drugs provide an opportunity for savings in drug expenditure since they are available at a lower cost and do not affect patients’health.A better understanding of pharmacists’knowledge,attitudes,and...Objective:Generic drugs provide an opportunity for savings in drug expenditure since they are available at a lower cost and do not affect patients’health.A better understanding of pharmacists’knowledge,attitudes,and perception can promote the quality use of generic drugs.The objective of this study was to investigate the knowledge,attitudes,and perception of pharmacists from tertiary hospitals in China regarding generic drugs.Methods:A cross-sectional survey using a postal questionnaire was conducted,which was sent to 200 hospital pharmacists randomly selected from tertiary hospitals in Hubei Province.A total of 125 questionnaires out of 200 were received.Of the respondents,80 were female and 45 were male.Results:The majority of respondents(87.2%)could clearly distinguish between original and generic drugs.Pharmacists agreed that generic drugs were less effective(52.8%)and produced more side effects(52%).Forty-nine respondents thought that generic drug products were not adequately tested.Approximately 78% and 60% of the pharmacists indicated that generic substitution was not feasible for drugs with narrow therapeutic windows and drugs for critical diseases,respectively.Most of them supported the recommendation of generic drugs based on professional judgment.Conclusion:Our study showed that a considerable portion of Chinese hospital pharmacists hold negative perceptions of generic drugs.Interventions to improve pharmacists'knowledge of generic drugs are needed.展开更多
Objective In 2017,China launched a new round of medical reform(NMR)to address the inaccessibility of high-priced drugs for patients with serious diseases.This study explored the impact of the NMR on the accessibility ...Objective In 2017,China launched a new round of medical reform(NMR)to address the inaccessibility of high-priced drugs for patients with serious diseases.This study explored the impact of the NMR on the accessibility and affordability of high-priced monoclonal antibodies(mAbs),and the effective promotion policies after the NMR.Methods We used a standard method developed by the World Health Organization to conduct two surveys on the availability of mAbs and their prices before and after the NMR in the public hospitals in Hubei province,China.By interviewing hospital pharmacy experts,we identified the potential value of the current NMR in improving the access to therapeutic mAbs.Results The average availability of 13 mAbs increased by 8.1%in the surveyed hospitals of Hubei province after the NMR.The median unit price of 10 mAbs dropped by 34.3%.The average affordability of a treatment cycle of 10 mAbs dropped from 680 days to 298 days of the disposable daily income for a middle-income resident(56.2%reduction).The drug price negotiation of medical insurance inclusion and the promotion of consistent evaluation of generic and original drugs could effectively promote the accessibility of mAbs.However,the zero markup of drug pricing and the limit on the proportion of drug revenues in public hospitals showed certain negative effects on the availability of mAbs.Conclusion Not all current NMR policies play a positive role in promoting the accessibility of mAbs.To further improve the accessibility of mAbs in the future in China,it is therefore critical to increase the investment in independent research and development of high-quality mAbs,establish localized guidelines for the rational use of mAbs in clinical practice,and have a cost-sharing mechanism for high-priced drugs with multiple stakeholders.展开更多

The x-ray absorption spectroscopy is a powerful tool for the detection of thermodynamic conditions and atomic structures on warm dense matter.Here,we perform first-principles molecular dynamics and x-ray absorption sp...The x-ray absorption spectroscopy is a powerful tool for the detection of thermodynamic conditions and atomic structures on warm dense matter.Here,we perform first-principles molecular dynamics and x-ray absorption spectrum calculations for warm dense ammonia,which is one of the major constituents of Uranus and Neptune.The nitrogen K-shell x-ray absorption spectrum(XAS)is determined along the Hugoniot curve,and it is found that the XAS is a good indicator of the prevailing thermodynamic conditions.The atomic structures at these conditions are ascertained.Results indicate that the ammonia could dissociate to NH_(x)(x=0,1,or 2)fragments and form nitrogen clusters,and the ratios of these products change with varying conditions.The contributions to the XAS from these products show quite different characteristics,inducing the significant change of XAS along the Hugoniot curve.Further model simulations imply that the distribution of the peak position of atomic XAS is the dominant factor affecting the total XAS.展开更多

However,medi...Incorporating four cations into a single-phase oxide is beneficial for maintaining structural stability during Li+insertion/desertion because of the produced entropy-dominated phase stabilization effects. However,medium-entropy oxides exhibit inherently poor electron and ion conductivity. As such, in this work, a single-phase medium-entropy oxide of Ni_(x)Cu_(y)CozMn_(1-x-y-z)O(named as NCCM@oxides(H_(2))) is prepared by modified-NiCuCoMn alloy through the epitaxial-growing-based self-combustion and hydrogen reduction. During hydrogen reduction, some Cu ions are reduced to elemental Cu(defined as Cu^(0)),which is distributed among the metal oxides, while generating extensive oxygen vacancies around Cu. The synergetic effect between nanoporous metal-core oxide-shell structure and enriched oxygen/Cu^(0) vacancies greatly enhances the electronic/ionic conductivity. In addition, the lattice of single-phase quaternary metal oxides has the configuration entropy stability, which enables the rock-salt structure to remain stable during repeated conversion reactions. Benefiting from the above-mentioned merits, the anodeforLi-ionbatterieswithentropy-stabled NCCM@oxides(H_(2)) composite shows a high specific capacity of 699 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.1 A·g^(-1) and ultra-stable cycling stability, which maintains 618 and 489 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.1 and 1.0 A·g^(-1) after 200 cycles, respectively. This is the first use of this novel and simple strategy for modifying medium-entropy oxides, which paves the way for the development of high-entropy oxides as high-performance electrodes.展开更多
This study investigated the effects of yellow mealworm meal(YM)replacing soybean meal(SBM)at different proportions(0%,15%,30%and 45%,referred as YM0,YM15,YM30 and YM45,respectively)on the flesh quality of Nile tilapia...This study investigated the effects of yellow mealworm meal(YM)replacing soybean meal(SBM)at different proportions(0%,15%,30%and 45%,referred as YM0,YM15,YM30 and YM45,respectively)on the flesh quality of Nile tilapia.A total of 360 fish(70.0±0.12 g)were randomly divided into 4 groups(3 tanks per group).Fish were fed the experimental diet twice daily for 10 wk.The results showed that muscle protein content significantly decreased in YM30 and YM45,while the lipid content significantly decreased in YM45(P<0.05).The essential amino acids and flavor amino acids of the muscle were not affected by the YM substitution,while saturated fatty acid content decreased in YM30 and YM45 compared with YM0(P<0.05).Fillets in YM45 had higher hardness,gumminess,and a higher proportion of thin myofibers(≤100μm,P<0.05)than those in other groups.Further analysis revealed that apoptosis and atrophy related genes were up-regulated,while the muscle antioxidant capacity decreased significantly in YM45(P<0.05),which may be related to the high acid value in YM45 diet.Our findings indicated that YM could replace up to 30%SBM without substantially altering the flesh quality.When the replacement ratio increased to 45%,the flesh quality would change.Special attention should be paid to avoid feed rancidity which may affect the flesh quality of fish.展开更多

In this experiment, we designed a copper/graphite com...Graphite anode materials are widely used in commercial lithium-ion batteries;however, the long electron/ion transportation path restricted its high energy storage. In this experiment, we designed a copper/graphite composite with a dual three-dimensional(3 D) continuous porous structure combining used nonsolvent-induced phase separation and heat treatment, in which a large amount of graphite is embedded in the 3 D porous copper/carbon architecture. In the novel structure, not only the electron and Li^(+) transmission performances are improved, but also the space of current collector is fully utilized. Meanwhile,carbonized polyacrylonitrile network stabilizes the interface between graphite and copper matrix. The obtained copper/graphite composite anode has an initial discharge capacity of 524.6 mAh·g^(-1), a holding capacity of350 mAh·g^(-1) and excellent cycle stability(299.3 mAh·g^(-1) after 180 cycles at 0.1 C rate), exhibiting good electrochemical performance. The experimental results show that the mass loading of the copper/graphite composite electrode material is about 4.39 mg·cm^(-2). We also envisage replacing graphite with other high-capacity active materials to fill the current collector, which can provide a reference for the future development of next-generation advanced electrodes.展开更多

The electrochemical results show superior electrochemical performances of the P/G and P/CNT composites compared with that of the reference sample milled with Super-P carbon. After 70 cycles, the P/G and P/CNT composites remained771.6 and 431.7 mA h g^(-1), with 68 % and 50 % capacity retention, respectively. With increasing the milling time(20 h), CNTs were cut into short pieces and then broken into carbon rings and sheets which were well mixed with red phosphorus. The morphology of the P/CNT composite can buffer the large volume changes from alloying and de-alloying during cycling, resulting in the enhanced cycling stability.展开更多
