In 2015, China had 64,000 km of long-distance natural gas pipelines, which was increased to 89,000 km in 2020, with an average annual growth rate of 6.6% during the “13th Five-year Plan” period. In 2020, the primary transportation capacity reached 360 billion m3 per year. China has built four strategic natural gas import channels - northwest, southwest, northeast and offshore - and a pipeline network structure with “three vertical and three horizontal pipelines”, and formed a backbone natural gas pipeline network spanning the east and west, running through the north and south, and connecting overseas region.展开更多
