The adsorption characteristics and mechanisms of spirulina powder were investigated when it was used as adsorbent to recover ytterbium(Ⅲ) from wastewater solution. Surface structure and element valence of the adsorbent were analyzed by SEM and XPS for the exploring of its adsorption mechanism for ytterbium(Ⅲ). The adsorption characteristics of ytterbium(Ⅲ) on spirulina powder was analyzed through assessing adsorption isotherm, kinetics and thermodynamic models. The adsorption isotherm data were best explained by Langmuir model, and the adsorption capacity of spirulina powder for ytterbium(Ⅲ) was 72.46 mg/g when adsorption temperature was 318 K. The kinetic experiment results showed that the pseudo-second order kinetic model can better simulate the adsorption process of spirulina powder to ytterbium(Ⅲ), indicating that the rate-controlling step was chemical adsorption. Spirulina can be an efficient and economical ytterbium(Ⅲ) recycling material, because it showed good adsorption stability and reusability from the adsorption-desorption cycle experiment results. 展开更多

Nano-sized γ-alumina (γ-Al2O3) was first prepared by a precipitation method. Then, active component of cobalt and a series of alkaline- earth metal promoters or nickel (Ni) with different contents were loaded on the γ-Al2O3 support. The catalysts were characterized by N2 adsorption-desorption, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermogravimetry analysis (TGA). The activity and selectivity of the catalysts in catalytic partial oxidation (CPO) of methane have been compared with Co/γ-Al2O3, and it is found that the catalytic activity, selectivity, and stability are enhanced by the addition of alkaline-earth metals and nickel. The optimal loadings of strontium (Sr) and Ni were 6 and 4 wt%, respectively. This finding will be helpful in designing the trimetallic Co-Ni-Sr/γ-Al2O3 catalysts with high performance in CPO of methane 展开更多

A novel solid Bronsted-Lewis acid catalyst La-PW-SiO_(2)/SWCNTs(single-wall carbon nanotubes)was synthesized from the synergistic modification of H_(3)PW_(12)O_(40)(HPW)by single-walled carbon nanotubes functionalized with sidewall hydroxyl groups(SWCNTs–OH)and La^(3+) via sol–gel method.The freshly prepared catalyst was characterized by several methods,and the catalytic activity and stability of it were studied from the esterification of oleic acid and methanol.Results showed that the highest conversion of oleic acid was 93.1%(mass)and maintained as high as 88.7%(mass)after six cycles of La-PW-SiO_(2)/SWCNTs.The high catalytic activity and stability of La-PW-SiO_(2)/SWCNTs can be attributed to the strong electron withdrawing effect of La^(3+) on π bond of SWCNTs,because it can facilitate the formation of a large number of strong Lewis acid sites.Therefore,the reduction of catalytic activity of a solid acid catalyst due to the fact that hydration reaction of its Bronsted acid sites can be effectively reduced.La-PW-SiO_(2)/SWCNTs can be an efficient and economical catalyst,because it shows good catalytic activity and stability. 展开更多

However,the best choice of acupuncture therapy for postoperative nausea and vomiting remains controversy.Methods:Several databases were searched from inception to April 2020.Randomized controlled trials met the criterion were included.Risk of bias was implemented with Cochrane risk-of-bias tool.Addis,R,OpenBUGS and STATA were used to conduct meta-analysis.The evidence was assessed by GRADE profiler 3.6.Results:Fifty studies involving 5980 patients were included.The risk of bias of most included studies were acceptable.The results of network meta-analyses indicated,compared with placebo,electroacupuncture was the best choice for postoperative nausea(odds ratio=0.09,95%confidence interval:0.02-0.51)and acupoint plaster for postoperative vomiting(odds ratio=0.07,95%confidence interval:0.01-0.42),acupoint catgut embedding+5HTRA for postoperative nausea and vomiting(odds ratio=0.05,95%confidence interval:0.01-0.15),and transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation+5-hydroxytryptamine receptor antagonists for postoperative rescue antiemetics(odds ratio=0.14,95%confidence interval:0.08-0.46).Conclusion:It was suggested transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation+5-hydroxytryptamine receptor antagonists was the best choice.The results provided guidance for the prevention of postoperative nausea and vomiting. 展开更多

Objective:To investigate the mitigation effect of atorvastatin on cerebral vasospasm (CVS) after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) in rats and its effect on mitochondrial fusion protein 2 (Mitofusin-2) and brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), which provides an experimental basis and a new method for the prevention and treatment of CVS after SAH.Methods:30 male SD rats were randomly divided into the sham operation group, the model group and the treatment group, with 10 rats in each group. In the model group and the treatment group, the subarachnoid hemorrhage model was made by the double injection of blood in the occipital cistern, and the sham operation group was injected with physiological saline in the same manner. The treatment group was given atorvastatin 20 mg/kg, which was dissolved in 2 mL of distilled water. The sham operation group and the model group were given 2 mL of distilled water. The body weight, mortality, neurological deficit, basilar artery inner diameter, wall thickness and smooth muscle cell apoptosis were observed in the rats 5 d after intervention. The expression levels of Mitofusin-2 and BDNF in each group were observed.Results:The body weight of the three groups was from low to high in the sham operation group, the treatment group and the model group, and the difference was statistically significant. One rat died in the sham operation group and the treatment group, respectively, 2 rats died in the model group and there was no significant difference in mortality between the three groups. The scores of the three groups of neurological function were from low to high among the model group, treatment group and sham operation group, and the difference was statistically significant. The diameter of the three groups of blood vessels was from small to large among the model group, treatment group and sham operation group, and the difference was statistically significant. The apoptotic rate of the three groups of vascular endothelial cells was from small to large among the model group, treatment group and sham operation group, and the difference was statistically significant. The expression levels of Mitofusin-2 were from low to high among the sham operation group, model group and treatment group, respectively.Conclusion:Atorvastatin can alleviate the occurrence of CVS after SAH and alleviate brain tissue damage, and its mechanism may be related to up-regulation of Mitofusin-2 expression. 展开更多

Obesity is defined as abnormal or excessive fat accumulation that may impair health.Obesity is associated with numerous pathological changes including insulin resistance,fatty liver,hyperlipidemias,and other obesity-related diseases.These comorbidities comprise a significant public health threat.Existing anti-obesity drugs have been limited by side effects that include depression,suicidal thoughts,cardiovascular complications and stroke.Acupuncture treatment has been shown to be effective for treating obesity and obesity-related conditions,while avoiding side effects.However,the mechanisms of acupuncture in treating obesity-related diseases,especially its effect on neural circuits,are not well understood.A growing body of research has studied acupuncture’s effects on the endocrine system and other mechanisms related to the regulation of neural circuits.In this article,recent research that was relevant to the use of acupuncture to treat obesity and obesity-related diseases through the neuroendocrine system,as well as some neural circuits involved,was summarized.Based on this,acupuncture’s potential ability to regulate neural circuits and its mechanisms of action in the endocrine system were reviewed,leading to a deeper mechanistic understanding of acupuncture’s effects and providing insight and direction for future research about obesity. 展开更多

Obesity is primarily caused by excessive intake as well as absorption of sugar and lipid.Postprandial surge in distention pressure and intestinal motility accelerates the absorption of nutrients.The response of intestinal epithelial cells to mechanical stimulation is not fully understood.Piezo1,a mechanosensitive ion channel,is widely expressed throughout the digestive tract.However,its function in intestinal nutrient absorption is not yet clear.In our study,excessive lipid deposition was observed in the duodenum of obese patients,while duodenal Piezo1-CaMKK2-AMPKa was decreased when compared to normal-weight individuals.Under high-fat diet condition,the Piezo1iKO mice exhibited abnormally elevated sugar and lipid absorption as well as severe lipid deposition in the duodenum and liver.These phenotypes were mainly caused by the inhibition of duodenal CaMKK2-AMPKa and the upregulation of SGLT1 and DGAT2.In contrast,Yoda1,a Piezo1 agonist,was found to reduce intestinal lipid absorption in diet induced obese mice.Overexpression of Piezo1,stretch and Yoda1 inhibited lipid accumulation and the expression of DGAT2 and SGLT1,whereas knockdown of Piezo1 stimulated lipid accumulation and DGAT2 in Caco-2 cells.Our study reveals a previously unexplored mechanical regulation of nutrient absorption in intestinal epithelial cells,which may shed new light on the therapy of obesity. 展开更多

目的比较射频消融(RFA)与肝动脉化疗栓塞术(TACE)治疗复发性肝癌的临床疗效和主要并发症。方法检索Pubmed、Web of Science、Embase、Cochrane Library、中国知网、万方数据库等,对符合纳入标准的文献进行文献质量评价,提取数据后使用Co... 目的比较射频消融(RFA)与肝动脉化疗栓塞术(TACE)治疗复发性肝癌的临床疗效和主要并发症。方法检索Pubmed、Web of Science、Embase、Cochrane Library、中国知网、万方数据库等,对符合纳入标准的文献进行文献质量评价,提取数据后使用Cochrane Library提供的RevMan 5.3软件进行Meta分析。结果共10篇文献纳入研究,其中英文9篇,中文1篇,共1381例复发性肝癌患者。Meta分析结果显示:RFA组1年生存率(OR=1.78,95%CI:1.21~2.63,P=0.003)、3年生存率(OR=1.65,95%CI:1.31~2.08,P<0.001)、5年生存率(OR=3.49,95%CI:1.55~7.87,P=0.003)和完全缓解率(OR=33.75,95%CI:1.73~658.24,P=0.020)优于TACE组。两组主要并发症发生率比较差异无统计学意义(P>0.05)。结论RFA在提高复发性肝癌患者生存率与改善完全缓解率较TACE具有明显优势。 展开更多

Advanced fabric electronics for long-term personal physiological monitoring,with a self-sufficient energy source,high integrity,sensitivity,wearing comfort,and homogeneous components are urgently desired.Instead of assembling a self-powered biosensor,comprising a variety of materials with different levels of hardness,and supplementing with a booster or energy storage device,herein,an all-fiber integrated thermoelectrically powered physiological monitoring device(FPMD),is proposed and evaluated for production at an industrial scale.For the first time,an organic electrochemical transistor(OECT)biosensor is enabled by thermoelectric fabrics(TEFs)adaptively,sustainably and steadily without any additional accessories.Moreover,both the OECT and TEFs are constructed using a cotton/poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfon ate)/dimethylsulfoxide/(3-glycidyloxypropyl)trimethoxysilane(PDG)yarn,which is lightweight,robust(90°bending for 1000 cycles)and sweat-resistant(ΔR/R0=1.9%).A small temperature gradient(ΔT=2.2 K)between the environment and the human body can drive the high-gain OECT(71.08 mS)with high fidelity,and a good signal to noise ratio.For practical applications,the on-body FPMD produced an enduring and steady output signal and demonstrated a linear monitoring region(sensitivity of 30.4 NCR(normalized current response)/dec,10 nM~50µM)for glucose in artificial sweat with reliable performance regarding anti-interference and reproducibility.This device can be expanded to the monitoring of various bio-markers and provides a new strategy for constructing wearable,comfortable,highly integrated and self-powered biosensors. 展开更多

We report on the synthesis of two acentric and one centrosymmetric Zn metal-organic complexes with 3-tetrazolenethyl pyridine spacers obtained in situ by hydrothermal routes.X-ray diffraction structural analysis reveals that they have the same equivalent nodes but with dissimilar topologies.The two acentric frameworks[Zn(Tzmp)Cl]n(1)and([Zn(Tzmp)Br]n(2),HTzmp=3-tetrazolemethyl pyridine)are isomorphism which exhibit an acentric 3D framework with(10,3)-b net called"ths",while the centro symmetric complex([Zn(Tzmp)N3]n(3))features a distinctive 2D sheet with Shubnikov hexagonal plane net.Photo-luminescent studies suggest the ligand-field strength of coordinated negative ions(Cl^->Br^->N3^-)has ordered adjusting effects on the emission redshift.The second harmonic generation(SHG)measurement shows that compounds 1 and 2 are nonlinear optically active,with SHG responses being 2/3 and half of the standard potassium dihvdrogen phosphate(KDP),respectively. 展开更多
