There is chaos in the Gulf region. Saudi Arabia in conjunction with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Egypt and other gulf countries, suddenly cut off diplomatic relations with Qatar expelling diplomats and citizens, exerting blockades on land, sea and aviation on June 5, 2017, with the excuse that Qatar supports terrorism- and damages regional security. Sandi Arabia and other gulf countries have issued an ultimatum on June 23, giving Qatar to 10 days to meet their 13 requirements. For a time, the Saudi-led group became the media hot word. The Gulf, once a rare peaceful land under the impact of the Arab Spring, now falls into chaos. The GCC in fact has split.
