The ground state bands and t... The levels in neutron-rich odd-A ^(107,109)Ru nuclei have been investigated by using γ -γ -and γ -γ -γ-coincidence studies of the prompt γ-rays from the spontaneous fission of 252Cf. The ground state bands and the negative parity bands are identified and expanded in both nuclei. Triaxial rotor plus particle model calculations indicate the ground state bands originate from v(d_(5/2)+g_(7/2)) quasiparticle configurations and the negative parity bands are from vh_(11/2) orbital. 展开更多

The binding energy spectra and the momentum distributions of the valence orbitals of iso-butane, also known as methylpropane (CH_(3)CH(CH_(3))CH_(3)), are studied by using a high resolution binary (e, 2e) electron mom... The binding energy spectra and the momentum distributions of the valence orbitals of iso-butane, also known as methylpropane (CH_(3)CH(CH_(3))CH_(3)), are studied by using a high resolution binary (e, 2e) electron momentum spectrometer, at an impact energy of 1200eV plus the binding energy (8-32eV) with symmetric non-coplanar kinematics. Binding energy spectra of the valence shell are obtained at a coincidence energy resolution of 0.95 eV in full width at halfmaximum. The experimental momentum profiles of the inner valence orbitals are obtained and compared with the theoretical momentum distributions calculated by using Hartree-Fock and density functional theory methods with the basis sets 6-31G and 6-311++G**. The pole strengths of the inner orbitals are estimated and the final correlation effects are discussed. 展开更多

High spin states in 138Ce have been investigated following heavy-ion induced reactions carried out at the China Institute of Atomic Energy,Beijing.Two collective rotational bands were established for the first time.These two bands show oblate deformation withγ=-60°and probably originate from the four quasiparticle configurationsπg7/2πh11/2Uvh11/2 vd3/2 andπg7/2Uπh11/2[vh11/2]2,respectively.These oblate bands exhibit strong M1 transitions,no signature splitting and different moments of inertia from those of prolate bands. 展开更多
