Background and aim: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the leading causes of death in Africa. Many inflammatory scores have been used to predict the prognosis of this disease in various situations. The aim of this study was to determine the influence of NLR, PLR and SII on the prognosis of advanced HCC in hospitalized patients. Materials and methods: It was a cross-sectional analytical study carried out in the Internal Medicine Department of Bouake University Hospital over a period of 3 years. Results: Out of 96 patients included in the study, we found a significant association between SII and CHILD score ≥ B. We also identified NLR as an independent predictor of hepatic encephalopathy. Conclusion: This study shows the relationship between inflammatory scores and hepatic insufficiency and the possibility of using NLR to predict in-hospital hepatic encephalopathy in patients suffering from advanced HCC. 展开更多
