Methods: Sixty infants in conformity with the diagnostic criteria of diarrhea due to spleen deficiency were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group by the random digital table, 30 cases in each group. The infants in the treatment group were treated by Nie-pinching the spine manipulation and traditional infantile tuina, in addition to the routine basic treatment. The infants in the control group were treated by the same traditional infantile tuina in addition to the routine basic treatment. The infants in the two groups were treated once every day, 4 weeks as a course. Totally, the treatment was given for a course. The symptom integrals of spleen deficiency were used to assess the improvement in the symptoms. The colorimetry was used to determine the excretory rate of urine D-xylose. Results: in the comparison of the same group before and after the treatment, the differences in the global score of spleen deficiency symptoms and the excretory rate of urine D-xylose in the two groups were statistically significant (all P〈0.01). After the treatment, the differences in the global score of spleen deficiency symptoms and the excretory rate of urine D-xylose between the two groups were all statistically significant (both P〈0.01). Conclusion: Chiropractics can reduce the integrals of spleen deficiency symptoms and elevate the excretory rate of urine D-xylose in the infants with diarrhea due to spleen deficiency, so as to enhance the therapeutic effects by alleviating the symptoms of spleen deficiency and the absorptive function of the small intestine.展开更多

Methods: A total of 180 cases in conformity with the diagnostic criteria of NAFLD in pattern of liver qi stagnation and spleen deficiency were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group, 90 cases in each group, and finally 88 cases in the treatment group and 90 cases in the control group were recruited for statistics. The treatment group was managed by acupoint thread-embedding method, and the control group was treated by oral administration of Polyene Phosphatidylcholine capsules. Both groups were treated for 6 months. Before and after the treatment, liver enzymology, blood fat test, abdominal B ultrasonic examination, and assessment of clinical effects were respectively processed. Results: After treatment, alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate transaminase (AST), total cholesterol (TC), and triglyceride (TG) decreased in the treatment group, and were significantly different from those in the control group after treatment (all P〈0.05). There was no statistically significant inter-group difference in the degree of fatty liver (by B ultrasound examination) before treatment (P〉0.05). After treatment, the improvement degree of fatty liver in the treatment group was more significant than that in the control group (P〈0.05). The total effective rates were 89.8% in the treatment group and 76.7% in the control group, with a statistically significant difference between the two groups (P〈0.05). Conclusion: The acupoint thread-embedding method can reduce the levels of ALT, AST, TC and TG in NAFLD patients, and can improve the pathologic degree of fatty liver and its clinical effects are remarkably better than that of oral medications.展开更多

The control group was treated with routine acupuncture, and stimulated with sparse and dense wave of electric acupuncture for 15 min after arrival of needling sensation, and then the needles were taken out. The observation group was treated with Zhu Lian's type Ⅰ excitation needling technique, by inserting the needles with the quick inserting method, swift and temporary lifting and thrusting technique for shallow insertion for 5times, by an in-and-out technique, without retaining the needles.Results: The total effective rate was 96.7% in the observation group and 83.3% in the control group. The difference in the total effective rate between the two groups was statistically significant(P〈0.05). After the treatment, the first urination time was shorter in the observation group than that in the control group, with a statistical significance(P〈0.01). After the treatment, the volume of residual urine after the first urination was less in the observation group than that in the control group(P〈0.01).Conclusion: Zhu Lian's type Ⅰ excitation needling technique can effectively promote the voluntary urination and bladder emptying in patients with postpartum urinary retention, and it takes effect faster.展开更多

Methods: A total of 80 cases with LIDH in conformity with the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into a treatment group or a control group by their visit order, 40 cases in each group. The points from the Governor Vessel, L1-L5 Jiaji (EX-B 2) points, from the first lateral line of the Bladder Meridian, Huantiao (GB 30), Weizhong (BL 40) and Yanglingquan (GB 34) were selected for acupuncture in the treatment group. Shenshu (BL 23), Dachangshu (BL 25), Ashi (Extra) points and Weizhong (BL 40) were used for routine acupuncture in the control group. The clinical effects of the two groups after 2-course treatments and recurrence rates three months later were observed. The pain severity before and after treatments was assessed by visual analog scale (VAS). The improvement of the patient's pathological situation was evaluated by the performance assessment of lumbar disease treatment from Japanese Orthopedic Association (JOA). Results: After the treatment for two courses, there was no dropped-out case in the two groups. The curative rates and total effective rates were respectively 32.5% and 92.5% in the treatment group versus respectively 12.5% and 82.5% in the control group. The differences in the curative rates and total effective rates between the two groups were statistically significant (both P〈0.01). After the treatment, VAS and JOA scores remarkably declined in the patients of the two groups, with statistical differences in comparison with those of the same group before treatment (both P〈0.05). In follow-up check of three months, the recurrence rate was 10.7% in the cured and remarkably effective cases in the treatment group and was 29.4% in the control group. The recurrence rates of the two groups were statistically different (P〈0.05). Conclusion: The aligned needling technique is remarkable in the clinical effects, obvious in the analgesic effects and low in the recurrence rate in the treatment of LIDH.展开更多

Methods: 176 cases were divided into the treatment group (89 cases) and control group (87 cases) randomly.Acupuncture on points Geshu (BL 17), Fengchi (GB 20) and Bailao (Ex-HN) was applied, and meanwhile moxibustion on points Baihui (GV 20) and Shangxing (GV 23) was applied in the treatment group, while Flunarizine was orally taken in the control group. Results: The bloodactivating and orifice-opening method with acupuncture and moxibustion could significantly improve the comprehensive curative effect clinically, increase the subjective index score and the sign score significantly, and change hemodynamics obviously. Its effect was better than that of the control group. It was also found that its follow-up effect was significantly better that of the control group. Conclusion. The blood-activating and orifice-opening method with acupuncture and moxibustion has a definite effect on vertebroarterial cervical spondylopathy.展开更多

Methods: By ratio of 1:1, the patients in conformity with the criteria were randomly divided into the experimental group and control group. In the experimental group, 45 cases were treated with the Wei-defensive qi-regulating and brain-strengthening needling technique on Baihui (GV 20), Dazhui (GV 14), Shenmai (BL 62), Zhaohai (KJ 6), plus ear points. In the control group, 45 cases were treated with routine acupuncture on Sishencong (Ex-HN 1), Shenmen (HT 7), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), etc. The therapeutic effects in the two groups were observed and assessed in comparison. Results: The results showed cure in 15 cases, remarkable effect in 27 cases, effect in 42 cases, failure in 6 cases, and the total effective rate in 94.4% in 90 cases of insomnia. In the three centers, the statistic management was performed based upon PSQI integral and showed significant difference (P〈0.01), and no significant difference among various groups (P〉0.01). Conclusion: The therapeutic effect in the treatment of insomnia by Wei-defensive qi-regulating and brain-strengthening needling technique is better than the control group and the therapeutic effect and methods in various centers are stable, without any deviation.展开更多

After 3-course treatment, the therapeutic effects and the improvement of Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) were observed. Results: After treatment for three courses, the total effective rate was 100% in the treatment group and 92% in the control group. The difference in the therapeutic effect between the two groups was statistically significant (P〈0.05). After the treatment, the sleep latency, sleep duration, habitual sleep efficiency, subjective sleep quality, sleeping disturbances, daytime dysfunction, and total PSQI scores in the patients of the two groups were obviously improved in comparing those before treatment, with significant differences (all P〈O.01). After treatment, the inter-group differences in the sleep latency, sleep duration, habitual sleep efficiency, subjective sleep quality, and total PSO, I scores were statistically significant (all P〈0.02); the differences in the scores of sleeping disturbances and daytime dysfunction is not statistical significant (all P〉0.05). Methods. 380 cases of the patients with soft tissue injuries were randomly divided into pattern identification group (200 cases, with the needling method by identification of deficient and excessive patterns) and meridian identification group (180 cases, with the needling method by routine meridian differentiation), to observe and compare the therapeutic effects in the two groups. Results: The curative effect was 86% in the pattern identification group and 31.11% in the meridian identification group, with a significant difference (P〈 0.01). In comparison with the total average treatment times in the cured and improved cases, the pattern identification group was 8.8 days and the meridian identification group was 15.6 days, with a remarkable significant difference (P〈 0.01). The pattern identification group was better than the meridian identification group. Conclusion: In the treatment of soft tissue injuries, the needling method by identification of deficient and excessive patterns was better than the needling method by routine meridian differentiation.展开更多

The total effective rates were 89.8% in the treatment group and 76.7% in the control group, with a statistically significant difference between the two groups (P〈0.05). Conclusion: The acupoint thread-embedding method can reduce the levels of ALT, AST, TC and TG in NAFLD patients, and can improve the pathologic degree of fatty liver and its clinical effects are remarkably better than that of oral medications.
文摘Objective: To observe the clinical effects of Zhu Lian's type Ⅰ excitation needling technique for postpartum urinary retention.Methods: A total of 60 cases with postpartum urinary retention were recruited and divided randomly into an observation group and a control group, 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with routine acupuncture, and stimulated with sparse and dense wave of electric acupuncture for 15 min after arrival of needling sensation, and then the needles were taken out. The observation group was treated with Zhu Lian's type Ⅰ excitation needling technique, by inserting the needles with the quick inserting method, swift and temporary lifting and thrusting technique for shallow insertion for 5times, by an in-and-out technique, without retaining the needles.Results: The total effective rate was 96.7% in the observation group and 83.3% in the control group. The difference in the total effective rate between the two groups was statistically significant(P〈0.05). After the treatment, the first urination time was shorter in the observation group than that in the control group, with a statistical significance(P〈0.01). After the treatment, the volume of residual urine after the first urination was less in the observation group than that in the control group(P〈0.01).Conclusion: Zhu Lian's type Ⅰ excitation needling technique can effectively promote the voluntary urination and bladder emptying in patients with postpartum urinary retention, and it takes effect faster.
文摘Objective:In order to observe the therapeutic effect of acupuncture in reducing muscular tension of the limb in apoplectic hemiplegia. Methods:Yin-meridian electroacupuncture was used to treat 37 cases of high muscular tension of limbs in apoplectic hemiplegia. Results:The total effective rate was 83.3% in reducing muscular tension and was 86.5% in increasing the index in the activity of daily life (ADL). Conclusion:The findings show that yin- meridian electro- acupuncture has a good effect in reducing muscular tension and improving the activity of daily living and is beneficial to rehabilitation of paralyzed limb.

文摘Objective:To observe the therapeutic effects of acupuncture plus cupping therapy and Western medication alone for cervical radiculopathy.Methods:A total of 139 patients with cervical radiculopathy were randomly divided based on the random digital table into an acupuncture-cupping group(70 cases) and a Western medication group(69 cases).In the acupuncture-cupping group,Fengchi(GB 20)(bilateral),Dazhui(GV 14),Jianjing(GB 21)(bilateral) and Jiaji(EX-B 2) points of the neck [bilateral,midpoint between Fengchi(GB 20) and Dazhui(GV 14)] were punctured.After the arrival of the needling sensation,bilateral Fengchi(GB 20) and Jianjing(GB 21) were linked with electric stimulation and the rest acupoints were manipulated with the moderate needling technique.In the retaining of the needles,TDP lamp radiation was used.After acupuncture,the cupping therapy was applied to the local area.The treatment was given once every other day,20 d for a course.After one course,the therapeutic effects were observed.The Western medication group was treated by oral administration of Meloxicam(Mobic),7.5 mg,once a day,with water and liquid after meal.The therapeutic effects were observed after 20 d.Results:The total effective rate was 92.8% in the acupuncture-cupping group and 73.9% in the Western medication group,with a statistical difference between the two groups(P〈0.05).After treatment,the scores of the clinical symptoms of the two groups were obviously declined(P〈0.01),and the score of the clinical symptoms of the acupuncture-cupping group was better than that of the Western medication group,with a statistical difference(P〈0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture plus cupping therapy was more effective than administration of Meloxicam tablets alone in the treatment of cervical radiculopathy.

文摘Objective: To observe the clinical effects of aligned needling therapy for lumbar intervertebral disc herniation (LIDH). Methods: A total of 80 cases with LIDH in conformity with the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into a treatment group or a control group by their visit order, 40 cases in each group. The points from the Governor Vessel, L1-L5 Jiaji (EX-B 2) points, from the first lateral line of the Bladder Meridian, Huantiao (GB 30), Weizhong (BL 40) and Yanglingquan (GB 34) were selected for acupuncture in the treatment group. Shenshu (BL 23), Dachangshu (BL 25), Ashi (Extra) points and Weizhong (BL 40) were used for routine acupuncture in the control group. The clinical effects of the two groups after 2-course treatments and recurrence rates three months later were observed. The pain severity before and after treatments was assessed by visual analog scale (VAS). The improvement of the patient's pathological situation was evaluated by the performance assessment of lumbar disease treatment from Japanese Orthopedic Association (JOA). Results: After the treatment for two courses, there was no dropped-out case in the two groups. The curative rates and total effective rates were respectively 32.5% and 92.5% in the treatment group versus respectively 12.5% and 82.5% in the control group. The differences in the curative rates and total effective rates between the two groups were statistically significant (both P〈0.01). After the treatment, VAS and JOA scores remarkably declined in the patients of the two groups, with statistical differences in comparison with those of the same group before treatment (both P〈0.05). In follow-up check of three months, the recurrence rate was 10.7% in the cured and remarkably effective cases in the treatment group and was 29.4% in the control group. The recurrence rates of the two groups were statistically different (P〈0.05). Conclusion: The aligned needling technique is remarkable in the clinical effects, obvious in the analgesic effects and low in the recurrence rate in the treatment of LIDH.

文摘Objective: It is to investigate the efficacy of the blood-activating and orifice-opening method with acupuncture and moxibusion for treatment of vertebroarterial cervical spondylopathy. Methods: 176 cases were divided into the treatment group (89 cases) and control group (87 cases) randomly.Acupuncture on points Geshu (BL 17), Fengchi (GB 20) and Bailao (Ex-HN) was applied, and meanwhile moxibustion on points Baihui (GV 20) and Shangxing (GV 23) was applied in the treatment group, while Flunarizine was orally taken in the control group. Results: The bloodactivating and orifice-opening method with acupuncture and moxibustion could significantly improve the comprehensive curative effect clinically, increase the subjective index score and the sign score significantly, and change hemodynamics obviously. Its effect was better than that of the control group. It was also found that its follow-up effect was significantly better that of the control group. Conclusion. The blood-activating and orifice-opening method with acupuncture and moxibustion has a definite effect on vertebroarterial cervical spondylopathy.

Thirty cases in the treatment group were treated by acupuncture plus cupping method and 30 cases in the control group by routine anti-inflammatory and antiviral therapy. The clinical effects were observed in the two groups. Results: The total effective rate was 93.3% in the treatment group and 80.0% in the control group. The therapeutic effect was significantly better in the treatment group than in the control group (P 〈 0.05). Conclusion : Acupuncture plus cupping method has a good effect for chronic simple pharyngitis.
文摘Objective:To observe the clinical effects of Jin's three-needle plus Xiang Ju Capsules for allergic rhinitis(AR).Methods:Fifty patients with AR were randomly divided into an acupuncture-medication group and a medication group by the random digital table,25 cases in each group.The acupuncture-medication group was treated with dorsal three-needle and nasal three-needle in Jin's three-needle therapy,once every day,plus oral administration of Xiang Ju Capsules,4 pills each time,and three times per day.The medication group was only treated with oral administration of Xiang Ju Capsules,4 pills each time,and three times per day.For both groups,10-day treatment constituted a course.The therapeutic effects were observed after continuous 2 courses.The symptoms and signs are scored before and after treatment,and the therapeutic effects were assessed based upon the changes of the patient's symptoms and signs.Results:After treatment,the total effective rate was 96.0% in the acupuncture-medication group and 72.0% in the medication group.The difference in the total effective rate between the two groups was statistically significant(P〈0.05).Conclusion:The therapeutic effect was remarkable in treating AR of Jin's three-needle plus Xiang Ju Capsules,better than oral administration of Xiang Ju Capsules alone.

Hemiplegia in the limbs and deviation of the eye and mouth had been relieved, but aphasia was still there.
文摘Purpose: In order to make a report on 90 cases of insomnia treated by the Wei-defensive qi-regulating and brain-strengthening needling technique, as a clinical subject of the multiple center, for assessing the preliminary standardized indications and operating methods and making an initial summary for writing the draft of the technique operation. Methods: By ratio of 1:1, the patients in conformity with the criteria were randomly divided into the experimental group and control group. In the experimental group, 45 cases were treated with the Wei-defensive qi-regulating and brain-strengthening needling technique on Baihui (GV 20), Dazhui (GV 14), Shenmai (BL 62), Zhaohai (KJ 6), plus ear points. In the control group, 45 cases were treated with routine acupuncture on Sishencong (Ex-HN 1), Shenmen (HT 7), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), etc. The therapeutic effects in the two groups were observed and assessed in comparison. Results: The results showed cure in 15 cases, remarkable effect in 27 cases, effect in 42 cases, failure in 6 cases, and the total effective rate in 94.4% in 90 cases of insomnia. In the three centers, the statistic management was performed based upon PSQI integral and showed significant difference (P〈0.01), and no significant difference among various groups (P〉0.01). Conclusion: The therapeutic effect in the treatment of insomnia by Wei-defensive qi-regulating and brain-strengthening needling technique is better than the control group and the therapeutic effect and methods in various centers are stable, without any deviation.

It is used to alleviate asthma during seizure and to improve the pulmonary functions, strengthen the body constitution and prevent recurrence in the remission stage. This article introduces the theoretic source and basic principle, and concrete operating method, i.e. puncturing bilateral Feishu (BL 13), Dazhui (GV 14) and bilateral Fengmen (BL 12), and adding acupoints based upon pattern identification, in combination of moxibustion and cupping therapy for promoting the clinical application of this method.
文摘Objective: To compare the therapeutic effects between the Governor Vessel-regulating, liver-soothing and mind-calming needling and the routine acupuncture therapy for Methods: A total of 50 cases with insomnia were nsomnia due to liver fire disturbing the heart randomly divided by the random numberl table into the two groups, 25 cases in each group. The observation group was treated with the Governor Vessel-regulating, liver-soothing and mind-calming needling, while the control group was treated with the routine acupuncture therapy. The two groups were treated for five sessions per week, ten sessions as a course. After 3-course treatment, the therapeutic effects and the improvement of Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) were observed. Results: After treatment for three courses, the total effective rate was 100% in the treatment group and 92% in the control group. The difference in the therapeutic effect between the two groups was statistically significant (P〈0.05). After the treatment, the sleep latency, sleep duration, habitual sleep efficiency, subjective sleep quality, sleeping disturbances, daytime dysfunction, and total PSQI scores in the patients of the two groups were obviously improved in comparing those before treatment, with significant differences (all P〈O.01). After treatment, the inter-group differences in the sleep latency, sleep duration, habitual sleep efficiency, subjective sleep quality, and total PSO, I scores were statistically significant (all P〈0.02); the differences in the scores of sleeping disturbances and daytime dysfunction is not statistical significant (all P〉0.05). Conclusion: The therapeutic effect of Governor Vessel-regulating, liver-soothing and mind-calming needling is better for insomnia due to liver fire disturbing the heart than the routine acupuncture therapy.
文摘Purpose: In order to explore the clinical effect in acupuncture treatment of vascular headache. Methods: 93 cases of vascular headache were randomly auocated into acupuncture group (n= 30), treated by puncturing Fengchi (GB 20), Ashi point and Sanyinjiao (SP 6) on the sick side, acupuncture plus needle-embedding group (n= 36), treated by basic acupuncture treatment plus ncedle-embedding method in Taiyang (Ex HN 5) and Xuanzhong (GB 39) on the sick side, and control group (n = 27), treated with oral administration of 5 mg Sibelium, twice a day, for observation of the changes in the clinical symptoms before and after treatments in the patients of three groups. Results: After treatment, the clinical symptoms in the patients of three groups were relieved or disappeared. The recent therapeutic effect was better in acupuncture plus needle-embedding group than in the control group (P〈 0.05), and there was no sig nificant difference (P〉 0.05) between the acupuncture plus needle-embedding group and acupuncture group and there was no significant difference (P〉 0.05)between acupuncture group and control group, either. The long-term therapeutic effect was better in the acupuncture plus ncedle-embedding group than in the control group (P〈 0.01), in the acupuncture group than in the control group (P 〈 0.05), and there was no significant difference between the acupuncture plus needle-embedding group and acupuncture group. Conclusion: Acupuncture treatment of vascular headache offers a better recent and longterm therapeutic effect, and acupuncture plus needle-embedding method is much better in the therapeutic effect.
文摘In order to observe the therapeutic effect of acupuncture plus facial paralysis rehabilitative exercise in the treatment of facial paralysis, 49 cases were treated by acupuncture plus facial paralysis rehabilitative exercise, and 45 cases were treated by single acupuncture for comparison, The total effective rate was 91.8% in the former and 62.2% in the latter. There is a significant difference (P〈 0.01) in the effective rate between the two groups.
文摘Summary : To observe the therapeutic effect of acupuncture plus medicament in the treatment of prostatic hyperplasia, Zhibian (BL 54) and Zhongji (CV 3) were deeply punctured with elongated needles and enema was applied with self-prepared medicinal herbs. Then Qugu (CV2), Zhongliao(BL 33) and Xialiao(BL 34) were selected and connected with a herbal Ion Introduction Apparatus. The total effective rate was 92.4% in 41 cases. Elongated needle and herbal ion introduction can relieve the clinical symptoms of prostatic hyperplasia and improve the patients' life quality.
文摘Objective: To compare the therapeutic effects between the needling method by identification of deficient and excessive patterns and the needling method by routine meridian differentiation in the treatment of soft tissue injuries. Methods. 380 cases of the patients with soft tissue injuries were randomly divided into pattern identification group (200 cases, with the needling method by identification of deficient and excessive patterns) and meridian identification group (180 cases, with the needling method by routine meridian differentiation), to observe and compare the therapeutic effects in the two groups. Results: The curative effect was 86% in the pattern identification group and 31.11% in the meridian identification group, with a significant difference (P〈 0.01). In comparison with the total average treatment times in the cured and improved cases, the pattern identification group was 8.8 days and the meridian identification group was 15.6 days, with a remarkable significant difference (P〈 0.01). The pattern identification group was better than the meridian identification group. Conclusion: In the treatment of soft tissue injuries, the needling method by identification of deficient and excessive patterns was better than the needling method by routine meridian differentiation.
文摘Eight six heroin addicts were randomly divided into the treatment group by electroacupuncture plus Methadone and the control group by single Methadone for comparison of the therapeutic effects. Statistically there was no significant difference in the therapeutic effect (score reduction rate) between the treatment group and the control group (P〉 0.05), In the treatment group, the dose of Methadone was half of routine dose, but the therapeutic effect was similar and side effect was less, in comparison with full dose in the control group.
文摘Objective: In order to observe the therapeutic effect of Eight Battle Points for simple obesity. Methods: In the treatment of 98 cases of the patients with obesity by the oblique puncture of long needles into Eight Battle Points, the body weight, body weight index (BWI), waist circumference, buttock circumference and fat distribution rate of the patients were measured and assessed respectively before and after the treatments. And the changes of complications of obesity were observed before and after the treatments. Results: There were significant differences (P 〈 0.05) in various indexes of obesity before and after acupuncture treatment. Conclusion: Acupuncture by puncturing Shenque (CV 8) plus Eight Battle Points is positive in the treatment of obesity and has a better therapeutic effect for complications of obesity.
