Then the present situation of teaching vocabulary in high school has been investigated through questionnaires and interviews, which is further analysed from the perspective of teachers and students'attitudes, methods and effects about vocabulary learning. It is found that vocabulary teaching in high school is very important, and most students lack good methods of vocabulary learning, and teachers'ways of vocabulary teaching are also limited. Finally three strategies are suggested, i. e. combining pronunciation and form, using prefixes, suffixes and roots, and using graphic organizers.展开更多

In this essay, author mainly introduces some basic methods of English speaking which can be used in senior middle school, such as group discussion, role-play, read aloud, and recitation.
