This study focuses on Xiajin County and utilizes two Landsat satellite images from 2010 and 2020 as the research data. Based on the integrated analysis of the Remote Sensing Ecological Index (RSEI), which couples NDVI, NDSI, WET, and LST indices, this paper evaluates the impact of urbanization on the ecological environment in the region from 2010 to 2020. The results show that the overall environmental quality of Xiajin County significantly improved. The ecological environment quality of urban and surrounding areas upgraded from the third level “Good” to the fourth level “Excellent”. The vegetation coverage around urban areas increased, the wetness index improved, the heat index rose, and the dryness index decreased.展开更多
