The results showed that there were significant differences in college students’ inferiority complex in terms of gender, grade, arts and sciences, and economic status, and significant differences in their attitudes toward learning in terms of gender, grade, arts and sciences, being an only child, and economic status. There was a significant positive correlation between low self-esteem and learning attitude (r = 0.56, p < 0.01), in which self-denial and worrying tendencies had a significant predictive effect on learning attitude. The findings suggest that the stronger college students’ inferiority complex, the more positive their attitudes toward learning. This finding provides a theoretical basis for understanding the psychological characteristics of college students, for improving the learning environment, and for conducting psychological counseling.
